I can guide you through how to fix the buttons.
I've noticed the problem with the buttons after I fixed the headset that I broke when I replaced my second digitizer )), true story.
But I won't open the phone again, and I have to make you some drawings if you're interested.

Sure. I fix the volume rocker but no luck at power button. I think there is a problem in the connection to the board.
Can you boot to bootloader using quickboot?

[Q] Volume buttons and trackball issues

I was using my phone a few hours ago, and the volume screen was on and wouldn't go away. My volume was also changing itself. That, and the unlock screen was really buggy.
I figured maybe this was an app gone awry, so I decided to reboot. Now when I reboot, it goes right to the fastboot screen, but I can't use the volume keys to move, they don't respond at all.
So can anyone provide any insights? Is this likely a hardware or software problem?
Also, if I have an unlocked bootloader (which I do) does that void the warranty?

That's pretty strange, most time it's working or it's not
did you try holding the phone under a bright light and holding the power down for 20 seconds
Yes and there is short black screen and then back to the bootloader

well if it stays in the bootloader you could relock and flash a RUU
I HAVE THAT SAME EXACT PROBLEM!! My HTC One M7 was working completely fine until the battery died earlier this evening. I charged and switched it on (without pressing the volume down button, just the power button) but it seemed to have entered the bootloader. But while in there, only the volume up button works, neither the power button nor the volume down button worked (though I never had any issues with them prior to today!) So now I'm stuck in this screen. Doesn't help if I shut it down or let the battery drain then recharge it. It's just stuck here...
If anyone's got ideas on how to solve this, please do let me know
BandicootUK. Did you find a solution? I'm having the same problem.

Marshmallow Hardware Buttons

Hey guys, to explain my situation briefly and simplistically.
My phone has the vol - button broken ( permanently stuck) I remapped the buttons so it wouldn't keep lowering the volume on my phone, but it keeps booting into the bootloader and spams ( volume down pressed) until I connect my phone to my computer and open up console and write : fastboot continue
This hasn't been a major issue as of yet, but next month I will be travel abroad and I really need it to be able to boot up without a computer.
Now is there any possible solution to remap/ disable
The bootloaders key buttons to avoid the hassle? :/
I really appreciate any sort of response, thank you.
Once you boot to your bootloader, press volume up when it hits Power On. I highly doubt there is a way to get rid of the key binding

I'm sorry, but the only thing I can think of is to cut the ribbon cable coming out of the volume down button. Just open the backcover (find a tutorial in YouTube) and use scissors or a knife to cut the cord coming out of the volume down button. Only do this if it's severely damaged and you plan on getting a new phone anyway! Then you can use a volume app or press the volume up button and adjust the slider. I'm unaware if you already fixed it, but regardless that's my two cents.

LG G6 won't boot, loops Lg startup Screen.

Forgive me if this has already been answered, but stick with me here. I am not tech savvy so any replies will be much appreciated, although try to keep them step-by-step. My lg g6 is stuck on the lg screen and loops that, sometimes it after the lg logo appears the tmobile screen pops up but then the screen goes black and everything repeats. I have tried booting the phone into recovery, fastboot etc, but i can't seem to.
-Backstory
The phone originally had water damage, so i replaced the battery. After doing so i realized the phone started up really slow, but once booted everything ran fast as normal. I immediately realized that the microphone and speakers did not work, on top of not being able to make phone calls or record video as it would freeze the screen and then crash the phone. I was also not able to play some types of media like youtube (even though it was able to play youtube before the incident), with it giving me a playback id number. This little sub issue was also stated on (https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g6/help/audio-media-played-h872-t3793006), but i cannot find anyone else with this problem or solution. But first things first, how do i get out of the loop?
In future regards, thanks for the help.
Honestly, it sounds like your phone is on its last legs. Try factory resetting the phone.
1. Press and hold the Power Button + Volume Down Key on the phone to force a restart.
2. Release the buttons when the screen goes black.
3. Immediately press and hold the Power Button + Volume Down Key again. You'll only have about a second to do so.
4. The LG logo will be displayed and, afterwards, it should boot you into the System Recovery Menu.
5. Release all keys when the System Recovery Menu screen is displayed.
6. Use the Volume Keys to scroll to the Factory data reset option and press the Power Button to confirm.

So I am having the exact same issue with my phone. It is brand new however. Loops on LG screen. I tried this solution, however after the phone restarts, repress the keys, and the LG logo comes back on, it shows the unlocked bootloader screen, then goes back to the lg logo. It then cycles the unlocked bootloader screen and the LG screen infinitely. Do I have a brick on my hands?

I do not know how to enter recovery so I have not tried any.
Just press the power button longer than 10 seconds.
If you start the vehicle, and straight away hit the car into reverse, then out of reverse and back to first, you should get past the boot up logo screen and bypass that lock, it worked for me long ago.
Geeze I hate that.
Try to hold the button for a long time, you should get into the internal settings and there you can solve this problem.
Same problem
Any luck with it?
bootloop here to....any luck? i,ve tryed lots of thinks to enter recovery ...but no succes, unit with only reset buton sucks

Apparently just keep holding the button or shift between reverse and 1st. With a friend you could try doing both.
