[Q] Hardware Problems After Flashing ICS - LG Optimus Black

I think that my phone is not working completely after i flashed the 4 ics roms.Probably it was because of the hardware accerleration in the ics rom because after i tested out the roms and flashed back to gb roms, strange problems have appeared(the phone completely does not respond for 2 seconds). Its not the problem with the gb roms as i flashed zeus,cm7,miui,lezo roms and still have this problem.Im wondering if anyone have experienced this problem and if anyone knows how to fix this problem,PLEASE HELP !

There's currently no hardware accerleration in the ics roms.

Do this, and your problems should be solved.
After I flashed miui 2.3/ics (I can't remember) my kernel logo is visible for 15 seconds, so the boot process is much longer.

wtf.....................i think you don't understand my question.I did not brick my phone , it can boot up as normal , just that the phone does not function properly. It just doesn't respond for 2 seconds and then goes back to normal but it happens all the time so im getting frustrated.Don't know if anyone has a solution to my problem....Thank you for responding anyway

I understand your question.
So, if you do this procedure, you phone will be completly restored. (No more SU, Root, CWM etc.)
Then you can completly screen out/exclude software errors.
And if this not works, it's a hardware problem.

when i use the phone or play games more than 7-10 minutes , it gets hot.

blue screen error
after flashing to ics ,after 3 to 4 hrs of usage blue screen error and CWM not working the error is, its showing an error occured while attempting to run privileged commands !!!

I have happen to see that blue screen that you mentioned but no strange things going on over here, and I have been flashing to ICS and restoring to GB all weekend just to compare. I know it may sound as a silly question but did you do your wipes before all those roms you mentioned?

G1 Problem [Look out for the Monster]

Hey guys,
I upgraded my G1/Dream from an older cyanogen version, to the newer one 4.2.15.1
and now for some reason my phone keeps restarting Any reason why ?
Can you please tell me how to fix it?
I've taken battery out & Also 'green+home+red' . Same keeps happening.
It restarts when it wants, can be 2 minutes, 10, 30.. but lately ever 1 minute or so..
What can I do?
Bump
bump
Anyone?? please
I'd recommend a full wipe and reinstall of your desired rom from scratch. Sounds like kernel panics to me.
my g1 was freezin up alot on cm4.15.1.... before it died and i had to get it replace....try unrootin and then root again and if it doesnt work it could be a hardware prob.

Why would you completely unroot and reroot? That's just too much work.
Wipe, and reflash. Also, a few apps have a problem with custom ROMs, try disabling apps that run in the background one by one until you find that your phone no longer reboots.
However, if you didn't wipe, I highly recommend that as the person before me said.

Boot loop after CM7 & Baseband 15

Hi Guys,
I had a reboot loop problem in my X8 after installing Viber from a Wifi connection and decided to mod it. I successfully unlocked the boot loader & rooted my Xperia X8. Flashed it with CM7 RC1 V4. I rebooted the phone to see the Cyanogen Mod screen with the skate board and it proceeded to ask me a question about the setup wizard or market option, I made a selection and the phone went dead. It rebooted and started hanging on the SE logo. I thought it was due to Baseband 15 and flashed it but no luck.
I have Clockwork Mod on it and can randomly enter it also. I would appreciate any help and pointers, is this an issue due to using the wifi and is the hardware at fault. Once the boot loop starts the battery drains pretty fast I can see the Cyanogen battery status icon and try to wait for it to charge completely
Many thanks & regards

* Did you factory reset it from CWM before installing the ROM? Boot loops are common when one doesn't, particularly if you're coming from another ROM (from what you say, I guess you're coming from stock 2.1)
* It seems that you flashed baseband 015 AFTER flashing the new ROM. AFAIK it should be done BEFORE flashing a new ROM, while still on stock 2.1. If that's the case, you'd have to go back to 2.1 using SEUS (or Flashtool; there are stock ROM images here on XDA), THEN flash baseband 015, THEN root, THEN flash CM7 again.
---
As a side note, you unlocked your bootloader but didn't install a new kernel, which is what one normally unlocks the bootloader for. Unlocking the bootloader isn't needed to flash a ROM as long as it works with the stock kernel (most don't, but yours should.)
Mod issue or battery or hardware fault

Many thnks for the reply mate, what you said is right. I might have missed a few things. But I reflashed Baseband 15 yesterday before your reply to my post and now it seems to be booting into cyanogen mod happily but each time it takes only a few seconds and through a few setup screens before it reboots again. This is exactly what was happening even on the stock ROM before doing any Mod procedure and the battery gets drained too. Could this be a hardware fault.

i didnt get it, when on setup screen you mean when it tells to add your email.....and when you are finished it reboots?!
if i understood well, there is no hardware problem, go to cwm, full wipe-factory reset, advanced>wipe dalvik, reinstall your rom(install custom zip) and it should work:fingers-crossed:

Thanks for the reply stamatis, basically its just shutting down because there is no battery left to power it, it seems. At times it reaches upto the setup wizard (shown when booting for the first time), the next time it could go up to adding a gmail account or language selection screen. I have even seen it load the home screen before it shuts off. This all started happening after downloading some apps from a wifi connection. I have done that before wiping and re installing but will try again. My presumption is that since it was happening on stock ROM and now on CM7 too then it's probably a hardware issue

ok i see now, your problem is battery drain,
is it that extream? i mean, you charge to full and when you open it up it shut down by low battery?
have you try to opening while charging?is it the same?
are you sure its charging?
that way too xtream to be software problem so its more likely that its hardware...

yes you got it right. I do charge it fully and when it boots the CM7 UI for a few seconds the battery goes down half or even less or nearly empty. I have tried opening it while charging and thats when the above happens, yes I can see the Cyanogen charging icon. So you think its a hardware issue and I should not pursue it further

yea, i guess your battery almost dead.....and i dont think its a good idea to by new battery, you better buy new phone,as the batteries are quite expensive if you think that the worth of the x8 right now would be 50 euros....
Try ebay bro

Having trouble flashing roms on my phone...

Just thought i would ask if anyone else is having issue's with flashing roms through there cwm on there phone...
What i mean is i have been able to flash and try a few roms and i've found something i'm happy with but everytime i tried to flash it would take maybe 3 attempts the phone would freeze sometimes early on in the aroma process sometimes later on completely random i would have to hold the power button and reflash maybe 2 / 3 times before it would work..
I've never had this on any other phone htc or samsung...
Any ideas or does it just happen ???
All seems to be installed properly ie cwm / rooted etc, i know all phones are different and maybe its just my phone or do other people have issue's too ?
Thanks...
It's just Aroma... All we can do is be patient and use the volume and power buttons which seems to reduce crashes.

[Q] Galaxy S I9000 won't boot and turns off

Hello Community,
I'm new here and hope you can help me even if it is only a little bit
So I have a Samsung Galaxy S I9000 with stock rom 2.3.6, root rights and cwm flashed.
Before I did this I had some problems with my phone, e.g. if I hit (gently) the back side the phone turns off =/
My new at the moment real problem is that I cannot turn my phone on if I only use the battery. (onlly the Samsung logo appears for a short time)
I can only boot it if the phone is pluged into my computer. When it runs and the display turns off, the phone will go off also. (not instantly but atfter 2-5 minutes)
Does anyone knows something about such a problem?
Thanks for your help.

p.s.: I am sorry for bad english =/

I can exclude the battery. I have tested two of them and I can be sure that both are well because they work in another Galaxy S I9000 without problem.
To flash a custom rom with plugged phone into computer will be tested tomorrow.

Good luck:good:But I would suggest to flash stock gb rom first just to make sure its not a software problem.
I remember @xsenman has mentioned a solution for this problem about two months ago..... I am sure he will write you soon here.
I had the same problem with my phone, it would reboot if i tapped the back of it, i found out it was a dodgy app i installed so i uninstalled a couple of apps i recently installed and it solve the problem.
So know I have tryed to flash with connected phone. I do not know whether it works because the phone won't boot the system, only recovery and bootloader.
In cause of this I have reflashed with Odin again. Now I get at reboot this screen:
image: s29.postimg.org/bu61r7md3/PZv_PCPk_Txs5a_Xl_G_z1a22_Odgumodl7_HN6v_Ksy3_Q5_MNPm_s.jpg
sry but i cannot post direct links =/
I understand what there is written but I don't know why, the only sdcard is my internal there is no external connected.
So there is a new problem and I would be glad about new ideas =\
(I tryed: reboot, wipes and reboot, wipes and new flashing (same problem))
@tetakpatak if my system boots again I would search for his post thank you

i also think so beacause its 2.5 years old phone
My old 5830 has started locking up and acting wierd too. It was fine on a stock kernel so I think its software related.
Start over from scratch if it bothers you that much. Flash a stock rom and then remod it.
