First and foremost I take no credit for anything contained in this ROM. I have taken bits and pieces from various ROMs I like and rolled my own.
The base is Binny's stock ROM.
LauncherPro from unrevolved by ozzeh
Has Both HTC and Android Music apps (in case someone, like me, prefers the old one)
Rosie and All Rosie widgets removed
WiFi Tether
TouchFlo port from Samsung included (choose launcher for yourself)
Again, all credit to the Devs listed above. I am no Dev myself, only a chef cooking up something to my own liking and thought I would share.
Anybody wanna test for me?
Download here
Installation...
Copy TouchOfPhotons-v1.zip to your SDCARD and reboot into Clockwork recovery. Then Install Zip and Choose Zip from SDCARD.
Be sure to take a Nandroid Backup and WIPE FIRST!
So far everything seems to be working fine for me...WiFi, BT, etc...
I would recommend Hydra's Undervolt with Wireless-N kernel here. This just needs to be installed like any other zip using Clockwork recovery.
Also I would recommend the MultiTouch Keyboard DANESHM90 managed to pull from the Droid-X here. This can be installed with Astro or an equivalent of your choice.
Thanks to all in the community. I am glad to be a part of it!
UPDATE.... Kernel link above may not work consistently so I am attaching the zip.
For those requesting it, I am attaching the TouchFlo Launcher. Just install via Astro or similar.
UPDATE - 7/7 --- Thanks to bowtiedeuce for pointing out the fix scuccia found for the Facebook constantly syncing issue. I am attaching that patch here (full credit to him, of course). Just install it like any other zip from your sdcard using clockworkmod recovery (install over your current setup, no wipe) and it should resolve the sync issue. Future releases will not have this bug.
No screenshots? It seems like most of the android roms have no screen shots.

Yeah,
Sorry about that. Was headed out the door and wanted to get something up for you guys before I left.
Anywhoo, here are some screenies. You can see I'm using TouchFlo primarily.
Oh, and the MT keyboard I provided a link to...
BTW....
The Live Wallpapers work great with the TouchFlo launcher.
I think I'm going to have to try ,this sounds great thank you looks good to
The rom is actually really nice an smooth. But its just not for me. I do recommend to at least try this rom. Good work man keep up the great work.

I'm loving this ROM! Just got everything set up on it...
Couple things though... I'm having a hard time pushing a custom bootanimation.zip to /data/local
I had no problem doing it on a just a plain rooted Inc, but I can't with this...
Another would be requesting to get the 2.1 lock screen and not the HTC one... Thanks! Awesome work, keep it up!
each time i download this file ROM and i try to install it, i get an error when it is trying to write to BOOT that says E: No Room Left on Device, failure at Line 394. Has anyone else seen this and if so, have they figured out how to fix it? I have wiped the boot partition and completely formated my whole system. Still the same error, i also redownloaded the file 3 times and still the same issue.

i am not really a nUbcake either...so that is making me kinda mad. I even messed with the update-script file to see if i could comment out the line that was erroring out, but it was to no avail. Could someone post a nandroid backup of the rom that i could try?
to clarify it is giving me an error saying "Error writing to Boot"
EDIT: got it working by removing the write_raw_image line at the end of the update_script

That's strange. I'm getting an error trying to use that kernel link on my PC but if I click it on my phone (using the XDA app) it downloads. I'll try to get a mirror up.
EDIT - Actually just attached the kernel to the OP.

Using this ROM with the Droid-X boot up sound and animation and the undervolt-N kernel. Very nice! My favorite so far and I have tried them all.
Thanks photonmedia!
Im had the same issue as ejlax did. However after the reboot everything seems to be there. Is there anything that didnt install after that error?

IF anything, I would says possibly the kernel (based on the error he says he got), but I would recommend you use the kernel attached in the OP anyway, so....
Really I don't know why you two are getting those errors and not the others who are testing, though. You are wiping before you install, right? Always the best practice: Nandroid Backup + Wipe.
I've been using it for most of the day - no issues. Phone, Google Voice, SIP phone, BT - looks flawless, so far...

For the most part I was just looking for the wifi tether app. So I did one click root and everything was still good. Downloaded rom manager, everything was still good, installed the clockworkmod. Phone rebooted and I had to do the update thing. Phone rebooted, still good. Installed busybox and lost the ability to usb tether my phone. Removed the busybox and got tether back. Downloaded the beast update and told rom manager to reboot into recovery and installed update, rebooted, update didn't take, did it again and still nothing. Finally booted phone and manually entered recovery mode and ran update. This one took. Now I go to try run the wifi app and it force closes. Tried to run super user app, force close. Tried to run rom mananger to restore last backup and super user fails there too. Any ideas?

Ok, so I used the one click root and took it back, re ran unleash and still same problem. According to the post it should install busy box at the time of the installation. It didn't, I downloaded it but it won't install.

Ok, I downloaded the VZW/LG update on 8/4/11, but once downloaded it reboots into recovery.. I have Clockworkmod Recovery installed. I don't know where the downloaded file is to install it. I assume if I had stock recovery that it would have automatically installed. Can anyone help?
After reboot from CWM, the update screen comes up and says Update Failed or Incomplete.
Also just a note, the update isn't Gingerbread, it is bug fixes and a couple system app updates.

Anyone wondering about the OTA please read this!
If you have CWM installed, you won't be able to take the OTA.
For now, I'd suggest staying away from it until I get a chance to look it over first.
Also, if you're running my decrapified ROM, installing the OTA would bootloop your device since decrapified is deodexed and the OTA would be odexed.
In the next day or so (whenever I get access to the OTA zip file), I'll disassemble it and see what changes it contains (like if it has a new recovery, or new kernel, or changes the board configuration) I'll post back here to let y'all know.
UPDATE
It appears that the update is safe to install for those running the revo stock (not decrapified) ROM.
It makes changes to quite a lot-- new boot.img, new LTE RIL, new CDMA RIL, new LTE baseband ROM, changes to the recovery system to bring it in line with normal Android (still not very 'normal', but normal as in "now contains an installrecovery.sh that android can use"), and a bunch of new ODEX files.
Let me stress this and make it perfectly clear: this update will NOT work if you're running decrapified ROM.
In the next day or so, I'll make an updated decrapified ROM (see? I was waiting for a good reason to make an update ) that will include the OTA in it.
Until then, relax and keep hitting that "ignore" button
Hey, what does the new boot animation look like? The only other thing that interests me, is the keyboard pop up in messenging. I hate that.

There are several things that I do not like about the Decrapified ROM
1. The 3 buttons on the bottom (Phone / App Drawer / Browser) sometimes vanish. Only way to fix it is to reboot
2. When you dock the phone into the car mount, the Navigation doesn't do anything. It would be nice to launch your own GPS app or the Google Navigation app. There are other activities that do nothing.
Everything is is great. Love the Google Integration and Love the missing Verizon Crapware on it (VZ Navigator, VZ Music, etc)
If ur using adw go into adw theme settings and reapply your them and the bottom buttons will deappear

Just flash it via revotoolkit...
The baseband image doesn't appear to change much at all, it's only a minor change it appears...
Mine wouldn't take any deferral time greater than 24 hours....and out of the blue it started about 10 hours after I deferred for 24....
Mine rebooted to Clockwork, I selected reboot, it came back up, displayed a page noting the failure, and everything appears to be working fine -- 30 minutes and counting. We'll see if it tries again...

Yeah, I PM'd you on that.. revo tool kit not working, download file only 36k, even attempted to download the .tar (via Windows7) described in the output in the program and the countdown just keeps looping. There may be something wrong with the files or the file host...
disregard.. just attempted download in Dolphin Browser on my phone and it is downloading the 6.73mb file recovery-stock.tar from 199.167.134.110/private/iomonster/files/revo-cwm/recovery-stock.tar.gz
So i should be able to follow same instructions I used to manually install cwm to install this, correct? Or I could just wait for the new decrap ROM, but I am very impatient.. lol
I am giving up!!!!!
ok.. getting really mad now. I successfully and manually flashed the stock recovery image and verified that with revo toolkit. So applied the update and it boots into stock recovery but not even half way through the arrow becomes an " ! " and reboots and says update failed or incomplete. So now I will put back CWM and wait for the next version of decrap.

I'm running Decrap1.1 and couldn't stop the attempted upgrade, since mine wouldn't respond to any attempts to defer. So, I went poking around under the hood. Just on a hunch, I used Titatium Backup to freeze a program called Verizon Package Installer, thinking that might interupt any attempt to actually update. The update loader ran and failed, gave me a warning, and I haven't seen it again since. I also am having ZERO problems with the phone. It's like it went away and isn't coming back.
Do you think my package loader freeze might do that?
My buddy, has an OG Droid. It's a 'spare' phone and not activated...its mostly used as a web browsing (wifi) device. Well, I rooted it for him and got him a root-enabled application remover...well, he 'accidentally' removed dialer.apk. He is not sure what version of android he was on, but I assume it was 2.2 (the latest official firmware).
Can someone either a) post a version or dialer.apk or let me know where I can find it so I can walk him through putting that back on the phone by way of adb. Or b) let me know what I can do to help him with this. He told me he did do a hardware reset, but it made no difference, dialer.apk is still missing.
Now I'm not exactly sure he did a true hardware reset/recovery.
Any ideas? suggestions?
Thanks in advance....

I have tried hard reset and this did not work. I also was not paying attention so I did not backup Dialer either

If you let me know which sbf you are using, i can extract it for you. btw, is there a dialer.apk in droid? Because the milestone only has Contacts.apk and Phone.apk. I thought dialer.apk was there only in motoblur devices. OG Droid is not one of them.
IF you dont know which rom you are running on your phone, just go to Settings->About Phone, scroll down to the bottom and post a screenshot of your screen.
Update : I just downloaded and unpacked the original Verizon Droid 2.2 sbf from here and i can confirm that there is no dialer.apk in there. Also it is odexed. You are not running the official 2.2 update.

You have the following options.
You can flash the official sbf using rsdlite.
If you have installed clockworkmod recovery, I can make a flashable update for you.
You can use rootexplorer to copy the contacts and phone apps to your system folder.
You can use adb to push the apps to system partition.
Best option is to flash sbf. You can then root your phone using z4root/universal androot or superoneclick root. Then install rom manager and then flash whatever custom rom you want.

Use the attached guide to flash the official 2.2 sbf if your phone is a verizon droid. Follow procedure and please note that all risk that comes with this is yours. If you follow procedure, you shouldn't have any problems.
I'm not to worried about contacts or apps because this is my 'gaming' droid.Even though the Ram(if that is what it is called) is a bit small and can not run every game.Atm I have downloaded rsdlite 4.5.3 and will try to begin to 'flash' this droid. This droid was rooted before if that is any help.

I have 2 of them one which has ev_tenderloin-nightly-2014.11.22.zip and the other cm 11-20141020 unofficial. Now as far as updating goes usually the Ev tablet alerts me when there are new updates and I download them. For whatever reason I have been unable to install anything past the 2014.11.22 rom. It hasnt been an issue. When the update gave me errors I would restart go back in and reinstall the 2014.11.22 rom and go back to my usual. I was cleaning up my device and accidentally deleted the only rom that worked and now when I try to find and download it again it isnt around to be found. I had been using the ev updater and when I checked the website it doesnt seem to be available there either. i was wondering if anyone has that rom available or know where I can find it to download.
any help would be appreciated.
