[Q] ICS on Galaxy Tab with US Cellular SCH-I800 - Galaxy Tab Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a wifi only Galaxy Tab branded with US Cellular SCH-I800 and am wondering if anyone has tried putting ICS on this version? I am debating on using the method in this thread "[HOLY CRAP][SPRINT P100] Stock to ICS - Complete Walkthrough"
Has anyone done this with a US Cellular tab?

Anyone???
Good talk...

Yes, that method will work just fine. I couldn't stand to leave you here talking to yourself any longer.

my current provider is Mobilicity which uses AWS network(HSDPA 1700/2100). Tab must work well on this provider since T-mobile galaxy vibrant is working so nicely with Mobilicity.

Have some patience, that was just an hour... Anyway, did you flash a modem? Because otherwise it's not really going to work.

which modem should i flash to? is there any good rom that works with my provider??
No clue. Since you say TMobile tab works well, i'd suggest that one. However i'm not an expert by any mean, so you might want to look around/wait for more answers.

The T-Mobile US modem is the only modem known to support 1700/2100 AWS, so if you want 3G it's your only choice!

Dave
Look for the standard TMO 3G modem in Roto's modem switcher thread in the dev section.

[Q] VZW 2.3.3

Is there any chance VZW Galaxy Tab will get official 2.3.3 update? And in the way of Sprint Full ROM update?
Anyone know if us Vzw tab people can use any of the cm7 fascinate stuff?

Noob question... What version of Tab (Telstra) do I actually have?

Hi. My Tab is a GT-P1000T (note the T at the end). It was bought in Australia from Telstra. On the back, it has Telstra logo. Also start up logo is Telstra. It is branded but SIM/carrier unlocked.
Is this device actually same hardware as stock GT-P1000 and the T only identities it as Telstra branded? Or is it a different beast?
I ask this because I want to know if I can safely flash the stock gingerbread rom to it without it bursting into flames ;-)
Any thoughts on this? Anyone with the same Telstra branded model successfully flashed to gingerbread & ALL functions still working?
Thanks.

I have the same tab and have had no problem flashing overcome roms, good luck!
Its a p1000, the T is just for telstra i guess

About 3g freqency on new 2.3.3 firmware

Hi, I am a newbie here. I have a T-Mobile USA galaxy tab . I am wondering if I flash 2.3.3 rom, does 3g still work?
Thanks

It would depend on a rom-per-rom basis. I would imagine that many, if not most, would work fine. Read over the entire post of which ever rom you are interested in using, it should state whether or not 3g works. I'm no engineer, but I really don't think the firmware version would matter. It depends on the modem you use.

Dude, please try and use some common sense, We have a dedicated Q&A/General forum. This is the development section for posting dev work not the newbie help desk.
3g is alway working with tmobile modem (no voice).
