hi guys. Ever since yesterday I one click odined my device to un-semi-brick it I can't get into download OR recovery....

(flased with Kies)
Kernel version: 2.6.32.9
root (at) sep-35#1
build number: FROYO.XWJPA
rooted and with Ryan's LagFix.
my question is: Is this the best FW for i9000?
I flashed with JPA, JPK, JPM, JPO...
and I can't say which one is the best (faster?)
Can someone please help me with that?

FYI, you do not need to root this, as you should update it to Gingerbread first, but if you must, just install Z4root app and you will get root or you want to update it...just follow this guide you can do everything

You can just flash SpeedMod kernel and your Froyo 2.2 will have root and CWM recovery. Simply follow this guide:

Gingerbread is indeed better OS but if you like 2.2 just do like in the guide.

I'm from Malaysia. Currently using a g.note n7000 android version: 2.3.6, baseband version: N7000DXKL2, Kernel version: 2.6.35.7-N7000DXLA1-CL886914 [email protected] #2 & build number: gingerbread.DXLA1.
My problem now is I can't update my software. When i install the update file, it stated that instal fail & try install using Kies. What should i do so tat i can update my android version? as i know, android version should be 4 right?

I couldn't find my answer by search (i found one thread with exact problem but no answer.) Just updated from froyo to 2,3,5 gingerbread through samsung kies.
My question is which CF-ROOT file i should use (from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108 ) to root my sisters Galaxy S I9000. I know theres a hint in the thread but I still don't know which CF-ROOT. Maybe because my english is bad ;/

Hi devs, i am confused in flashing Custom Rom. I have rooted my phone and have cwm recovery installed. I want to update from Froyo to Gingerbread. Where to get the gingerbread rom that i can flash? Should i download any rom and just flash it in CWM directly? Or i need to do some thing special? Please help me. i followed this tutorial and now i am using gingerbread
