Reboot computer. Reboot phone. Use usb port in back of computer. Try different usb cable. If u r using Odin right click and run as administrator first and then connect phone to computer. Use correct drivers for Odin. U may have to uninstall heimdall drivers.

^That. I believe Biffmod is based off CM7 so Galaxy S drivers.
The only reason for nexus s drivers is for ADB to work. Odin is a Samsung made program so it needs the Samsung download mode driver not the vanilla google driver...

Try toggling usb debug mode on adjustments, applications, development options.
Also, try restarting your pc with the phone connected. Try another usb port, or reinstalling the drivers.
Good luck.

[Q] How to reinstall touchwiz

Hi,
My galaxy S advance started showing some problems with USB port, like stop charging and not being recognized by PC. I attempted to fix it doing a factory reset and wiping cache. The problem was that I had uninstalled Touchwiz (backed up using titanium) because I had another launcher installed and when the initial setups is complete a message showing that com.android.setupwizard has stopped appears and alI that I can access is the notification bar.
I know that you'll tell me to reflash the original ROM with ODIN, but my usb port isn't working well and my pc doesn't recognize my GSA anymore.
How can I flash the rom or reinstall the touchwiz or another launcher to access my cellphone again?
Odin uses different drivers. So it will work as far as you don't physically damage the usb port.

My usb has a problem which after I disconnect it from a pc/charger it keeps showing that the cellphone is charging or is connected. When I plug it to my pc its shown that the USB had a malfunctioning and the device isn't recognized. There's some way to flash touchwiz using the stock recovery?

That's isn't a hardware problem. Its a software fault. Reflash using odin!

Do you have force fast charge turned on? If you do simply turn it off.
You have to install usb samsung drivers

Yes, from developer option enable debugging mode as pic below
And about Odin don't recognize your phone, you have to download Samsung driver>Restart PC > boot your phone into download mode then plug it to PC it will be recognized.. If you have win8 installed and it still don't recognize your phone then install driver from windows update..
In win7 it install it automatically

I've already got those settings enabled. But My phone doesn't get connected
Usually it gives me notification USB Connected and then I could select it to turn on USB or not. But now it doesn't give me that nitofcation when I connect it even though it still charges my phone. Are there any drivers inside the phone Which may have got corrupted or something?

1-I know that you are using semaphore kernel so, Did you enabled fast charge? If yes disable it as shown in pic
2- try to unplug your phone, uncheck debugging and re-enable it again then connect your phone and see

No, its useless and consume ram
Try a new flash... factory reset. Wipe cache format system dir etc to get a clean start.
It worked for me to clear the problem. Just remember to back up apps and data first.... titanium or similar.

Hello Hussam91,
I can think of two things:
First - maybe you didn't see the message in the notification bar? (see attached picture)
(The button in the middle - tap it and allow the USB connection in the next screen).
If this was not the reason - maybe this can help you then:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2144709
I had the problem that I could not connect the phone in myPhoneExplorer via USB. The reason seems to be a new usb security feature.
Make sure you have the latest adb drivers installed, like mentioned in the thread.
I ran "adb devices" from the command line (like mentioned in thread), first the phone was shown offline. Then, a popup was shown on the phone that allowed me to add my computer's fingerprint. After that, everything worked fine.
Greetings!
