how to upgrade cooked rom .rar?

All the cooked roms end with .rar. After I downlod the cooked rom (bepe) the file ends with rar. According to the trinity giude it should have ended with zip so that I would be able to extract the files (see section 4, upgrade rom - Open the folder where you unzipped the files and click on ‘ROMUpdateUtility.exe’). However, there is no exe file but only rar. How do I upgrade then? I m a beginner in this and I need your help!!!!!

Download WinRAR and extract the Files.

[Q] Pull app from ROM archive

How can I pull an app from an official FW archive downloaded from samfirmware? The file downloaded was *.tar and if I extract it I get a *.rfs that has 271MB and some other small files... Is there a way to extract an app from those files?

Use LGKS360 Utils it partially works.
It can extract kdz and wdb.
During extraction it at one point it asks for firmware ver - thats it !
I can't go any further bcoz I can't seems to find firmware ver.
But its not impossible to extract CP and AP bin files so that we can use with SFT.

Hi guys, I want to extract a flashable zip from stock firmware of XT1060... I followed the instruction from this post :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2387941
but I get nothing in the system folder after I extracted it, and the kitchen gave me an error

Error: No /system/framework folder found!
So I want to ask how to extract a full flashable zip from the stock rom downloaded from sbf-droid (e.g.: VZW_XT1060_4.4.4-KXA21.12-L1.26_CFC_1FF.xml.zip)
