I downloaded the compatibility checker and my Revolutions not compatible. Is there anything i can download to make it work? Any help would be legendary

Unfortunately there is no current way (doubtful if there ever will be one) to have the sixaxis compatible with the LG Revolution, same goes for the Wiimote. Something LG has done with the bluetooth settings has made it impossible to work.

Hi all,
I have heard that the Nexus S works with Wiimote controller.apk and that users are succesfully using the wiimotes with their devices.
I am under the impression that both devices have the same bluetooth and wifi chips, does anyone know if any smart person has worked out a way to get the Wiimotes working with galaxy S, or ported the drivers etc?
I am using DArky V8 and BT mouse/keyboard are working well.

Bump. This would be nice to get working with n64oid.
subscribing and bumping! this will be the icing on the cake if we can get this resolved. And no CM7 is not the answer as tv out does not work, at least not at the moment.

I have tried tons of things to get this to work and even killed three rom load outs. simply replacing files wont do it.
as of now with a 2.2 rom you can see the wiimote and get all the way to where you are asked to use a passkey, but the passkey is not skippable. Also the apps that are in the market are no longer either supported or updated, but now that Galaxy S devices have the HID capabilities it would be nice if one of those dev's look at the device to get it to work.
Isn't it something to do with TouchWiz????
I think I read that somewhere
It works in cyanogenmod7.
Any progress

yes but CM7 is not stable yet.
I dont think any1 want to flash a new rom just to play some games with a wiimote and then flash another rom to use the "needed" parts of the phone, like the camera, 2g/3g etc.
To bad i would give a good donation if a dev would support this on the sgs
Any progress?

Here are both the APK and the DRM files:

Anybody up for the task of managing to get the instant watch working on our incredibles? Everything else already works
Edit: $15 towards bounty if anyone else wants to
I'd definitely donate for this.
This only work on the Evo roms or will this work on anything for the incredible? I installed the apk but can't seem to get it working. What do I need to do with the DRM odex?
It only works on the revolution. This is a thread deticated to getting it to work on other phones such as the incredible.

Also, I'd gladly put 15 towards a bounty.
According to a post I read somewhere, the apk requires a processor that is netflix supported. So what I'm thinking is that there will either have to be a dirty hack to get it streaming, or a kernel mod to trick it into thinking it is running on the correct cpu. I have no knowledge as to how to do that, but just thought it made sense to throw that out there.

I got it working on mine now. Not the streaming obviously, but the other stuff works.
I'm not running revolution either.

our cpu is compatable, it has some sort of security that has to be built into the cpu and every snapdragon has it pre installed
this apk may not be compiled against our specific cpu so it might not work still but i do know thats why it wont
If you move on over the themes and app section, I already have thread going and will try and give update as I find them.
Would also donate for a fully working app.
Ok so I rooted and romd my lil bros evo and somehow yesterday got it to put out to both our ps3s and we both playd black ops online now with my hero will that work and I've tried it is it not working cause I'm not running sense this has been bugging me for a while I mean Before we couldn't get the ps3 to recognize it then I flashed the miui gb for him and bam now it actually connects using 3g and running fine on black ops

There is a guide that a user just made in the general section. Comment on that and see if we can work it out.
Make sure
1. You are rooted
2. You have BusyBox
3. You have Super User installed.
4. Not using SetCPU or Overclock widget.
After that Install the Pre9 Wifitether APK (attached).
If that doesn't work then flash the new Radio Image for the Hero (also attached as 2.42.02.10.29.zip)
And then flash Kifno's tweaks for Preformance and Network speeds (will double to triple DL and UL). [MP] This tweak is incompatible with SetCPU
disclaimer: I am not liable for anything, and I did not create any of these. Although I have not heard of anything going wrong (when followed correctly). If anything does happen let me know and il do my best to help you.
Omg!!! Does this work for the cdma hero cause if I can use it for black ops I will b forever grateful im on cm7

I think the PS3 patched Ad-Hoc networking, WifiTethering on the Hero Relies on Ad-Hoc, The Hero doesn't support regular netowrking so i guess we're screwed. If you have a computer in your house you can use USB tether and create a network from your computer via Ethernet, and theneither plug that to the PS3 or to a router to create a "real" network.
Damn ya my x she has both my Linux and windows satas so till I get that prob fixed I'm just gonna go crazy I guess haha

i realize i've posted a few q's lately but already figured out the a's to all of those before you guys even replied(is it really that slow here?)
heh.. anyway, i figure i'll try another & see if things turn out differently this time.
so far, i've rooted, updated to latest .901 radio & tried out both the liberty & eclispe (901 friendly) roms. on both i was not able to pdanet to work(or the clockworkmod tether)... which was unusual, as before i switched to a custom rom pdanet worked just fine.
anyway, i'm currently reverting back to the stock rom & going to try again that way and see if something got fux0red.
but curious though, does pdanet actually work on these custom roms?
[EDIT]: well not sure what was going on with the roms, but reverting back to the stock rom(w/ 901 radio) has pdanet working again.
I'm rom'd with Eclipse 2.0 on the .893 radio and its working fine for me. Are you trying to Bluetooth tether or wifi?
Sent from my SCH-I800 using xda premium
neither. usb
What app are you using?
Pdanet or easytether?
Have you tried an app called wifi tether for root users or something like that
I'll post link later
Here's the link to new updates
http://code.google.com/p/android-wifi-tether/downloads/list
I've been using this on stock rooted 886-901, eclipse 2.0 & 2.1 rc beta, kintex 1.0 & 901 patch
All works great
I'm still using the pre113 and it still working great
Give it a try
For those asking what tethering app he is using, you really should take the time to read his post as it states what tethering app he is using. He says he's using PDANET. No reason to ask a question that he already answered in the original post.
I highly recommend using Easy Tether. I paid my $10 for their app and Verizon better not dare block me from using it. Their tethering fees are crazy for how much I use it and I bought easy tether before Verizon even brought tethering out.
Now if someone could make an FM modulator app that would allow us to.stream audio to our car stereos (not all of us have Bluetooth in our cars)

Anyone have problems getting their touchpad to find a mobile hotspot from your android phone? If not, what app do you use? I'm rooted and have tried open garden and one other that I forgot the name of. Both didn't show up on my touchpad when scanning for a wifi connection.

Ok, I'm bringing this back up because I still havent really found a way to wifi tether with my Droid X2. I have done some research since posting this thread and found out that my Droid X2 only puts out an ad hoc connection which the TouchPad doesnt recognize. I have came across a couple possibilities though.
One is a patch that modifies wpa_supplicant. Not really sure what or where that is since I just found it and havent been able to play around with my TouchPad yet. But I think that patch is device specific and needs to be modifies IF it is to work for the TouchPad. Not sure. Here is a couple links.

Patch on XDA:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=755254
Another possibility and probably the easiest fix is downloading the app "zt 180 ad hoc wifi switcher" from the play store.

I will try the app when I get around to messing with my TouchPad which might not even be until tomorrow. But if anyone else tries either of these methods (or any other that works) and has success, please let me know.
Try Wifi tether for root, they have in the Google store. I have not used the latest one but if you have problems with it go to there web site and find the 3.0-pre12. I use that on my Droid Charge and have not had any problems.

I've tried a bunch of wifi hotspots apps, including wifi tether. The problem is my phone only puts out an ad hoc network which doesn't show up on the touchpad. I don't know what the Droid charge puts out.

I use foxfi and use the wifi and bluetooth options
You need an app to access the hotspot from your phone? I always just turn my phone's hotspot on and connect to it, never knew you needed an app. Interesting. Done this on gingerbread and ICS roms for my Inspire 4g.
Dunno what to tell ya... I have an SGS 2, a Dell Streak 5 and a 7 and A Galaxy Note... on all of those the only thing I use is the native hotspot tether with no issues with them putting out a signal to any other device I have
Maybe you oughta look at some type of wpa_supplicant tweak for the Droid X2, not the TouchPad, that you may need to implement to get tethering functioning correctly

Well I managed to get it working with pdanet on the touchpad and foxfi on my phone. But that's the only way it works. Weird. At least it works one way though.

Stock WebOS cannot see Adhoc networks. I'm not sure if the Droid X2 supports AP tethering.
