Support for Emily - Captivate Themes and Apps

A couple of weeks ago, a group of xda developers called the collective released an app that does nothing except donate to the American cancer society. The daughter of developer joedv was diagnosed with cancer and he was raising money for the Relay for life event.
Joe exceeded his goal, unfortunately his daughter did not survive to see him race. for those who still want to support a fellow developer, the app is still available and the money still goes to the cause of fighting cancer in Emily's name.

Call out to my XDA brothers and sisters

On 11-11-11 a 10 year old little girl very near to my home felt the need to commit suicide after she was repeatedly bullied at school. Her name was Ashlynn Conner. She was a very beautiful little girl who had a lot going for her. I am calling out to you, my extended internet family to please show your support for her and her family and join the anti-bullying movement I have begun. I did an interview for the Chicago tribune that will be published Thursday and her mother will be on the Today Show Friday morning. If you just search for Ashlynn Conner Foundation and show your support it would be so very greatly appreciated. Thank you very much...
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Several of my friends are depressed because they are repeatedly bullied to the point of attempted suicide. I feel your pain.
Rest in peace, Ashlynn Conner.

We will have an actual website up soon, we had to throw a page on facebook, just to get the ball rolling and the response is amazing. I knew my fellow flashers would step up, we r all geeks, til the jerk at work needs his phone unbricked. Lol. We are in talks with some very powerful government officials about amending some of the laws pertaining to bullying, but again we need your support, please search ashlynn conner foundation and youll see what I mean...
It's an outrageous travesty when teachers and parents turn a blind eye to incidents of bullying in schools, especially when it can so easily end up in tragic circumstances such as this.
If you have the opportunity to do so, please pass along our heartfelt condolences to the parents and let them know that there are those of us that wholeheartedly support their cause.
Kids will be kids and will eventually grow up, but i wish bad karma upon those adults who allow bullying to continue, right under their noses. Lets hope lives can be saved in future!
Ok,i think this is the point i stop with bullying...thanks,you opened my eyes :')

I've made announcements as to why there hasn't been any updates lately in all of my threads bro. I haven't had the time due to my 5 year old daughter being diagnosed with cancer. We've recently started her treatments. There will be updates coming sometime soon. Every time I think I get a chance I end up having to deal with more important issues lately.

The reason of this post is to raise the awareness among the XDA users about the "task650" situation . I am asking YOU an XDA user or visitor to donate as much money as you can to the "task650. "
His baby girl is diagnosed with cancer and I want YOU to help her to fight this uneasy battle! The medical treatments for her sickness are very expensive and by donating even ONE dollar, YOU will help this five years old girl to win over the cancer! I am not writing this on behalf of "task650, " it is my personal initiative! Being as a member of XDA forums and Android community in general, I feel that it is my responsibility to help the people who are in need as never before.
Here is the link for donations:
Paypal donation email: [email protected]
To "task650": brother, your daughter will get better, especially when there are so many people who are praying for her! Please forgive me for my personal initiative if I offended you by any means!

Movember

Hi guys it the month of November or as some as you may know it as Movember.
Men’s health is a cause I am passionate about but in order to make a difference I need your help. My commitment is to grow a moustache for the month of November and in doing so, raise vital awareness and funds for mens health including prostate and testicular cancer.
I am asking you to help support my personal journey by making a donation. The size of which isn’t important, every little contribution helps Movember to continue its funding of world class programmes. If you want to know more about what you’ll be helping to fund, you can visit Movember's Program Overview page.
To highlight the importance of what I am doing, take a look at these statistics:
• 1 in 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime
• This year 40,000 new cases of the disease will be diagnosed in the UK
• 47% of testicular cancer cases occur in men under 35 years and over 90% occur in men under 55 years
If you’d like to help change these statistics, please donate to me online at: http://mobro.co/jonathanfoster
For more details, take a look at the Programs We Fund section on the Movember website: http://uk.movember.com/about/funding-overview
Thanks in advance guys or at least for reading
You need a donation to help your moustache grow?
I think I might do no shave November too. There won't be much hair on my face though.

Then we can just donate directly to the charities that support prostate and testicular cancer and other men's health issues.

BiggsE Short Bio

Born in District Six, Cape Town, 69 years ago. Self- taught flute player/composer. www.soundcloud.com/brian-douglas-erasmus
Of limited means, subsisting via a state old age grant and the patronage of family and friends. Unmarried. Having escaped the tender trap?, still trying to figure out whether to be sad or glad.
Life journey to date, probably a mirror image of the sojourn of my fellow travelers. Days spent practicing the flute, drinking red wine, watching television. Interested in politics. Given the current international circumstances, who wouldn't be. Not much more to tell, I suppose...
Welcome to the xda family.
Cheers.
Thanks. Hopefully some kind soul will help me fix my phone.
