I got this deal from Dealnews.com. I actually bought one 2 weeks ago, and am impressed with it... it works well and since it doesnt have one of those long flexable goose necks, it doesn't vibrate my 6800 like my previous crappy ebay mount did. Here is the text:
Meritline.com offers this Adjustable Universal Windshield Mount for $14.99 before coupon code "SHP50POFF", $7.49 after. With free shipping, it's one of the lowest total prices we've seen for such an item. It features a 360-degree swivel and adjustable side grips to fit a wide array of items such as PDAs, MP3 players, GPS units, and more. Deal ends May 4.

will this still work if I have one of the extended 2400 batteries on my phone?
I wanted to share this link from Lifehacker with anybody interested in getting a car mount for their HD2 but not wanting to spending $25+ plus.
http://lifehacker.com/5593245/build-a-custom-phone-car-mount-for-under-10
I tried this out but substituted a dash mount for a windshield mount. I got a cheap hardcover case and the universal Garmin mount from eBay. Both items were less than $3 and I got them with free shipping. I also had to buy some super glue since I didn't have any, I just got a small tube of it for $1.50 from Target.
It's worked like a charm so far. I will say that the case I got is a bit tight so my phone doesn't pop out of the mount as easily as the example shown.
Cheers!
I have been looking for a TriPod holder for the Nexus One, I was wondering if anybody new of one they could recommend?
I found this: http://goo.gl/isBX but I am not sure if this would work securely for the Nexus One?
and here a guy who made his own from a car mount: http://goo.gl/b46x
I also found this one: http://goo.gl/xkci
Not sure if its what your wanting but..
I have this mounted on my motorcycle, fits nice and tight. It is not the cheapest mount there is but the way I see it, not exactly the cheapest phone either so... That being said, I did lose one phone but it was not because of the mount. It was shall we say, user error more than anything else.
She felt pretty bad too, but hey.. Replaced that G1 (2nd one) with my Nexus One. Miss the real keyboard on the G1 but the Need for speed requires it.
Check out www.proclipusa.com
Hands down its the best mount out there, anyone interested in buying one for a G1? Still have it but mildly useless without the phone. Using the Handlebar Mount with Tilt Swivel on it which would easy connect to the center bar of a real tripod mount but something could easily be hacked together and be waaay solid. Did a 10 mile trek on a washboard road on the motorcycle at high speed with the phone connected and never skipped a beat and that was with the G1 keyboard opened up and phone horizontal. Can send you a pic of you want.
Hey Everyone,
Just wanted to share a great mount I've been using the last 3 months. The tetrax X way is great for mounting your Dinc to the a/c vent. Comes off easily but holds like none other. Plus it's small and stays out of your way.
I've had no problems with damage to the vent and it has proven to be worth the cost. BONUS: it also comes with extra mounts so you can use them on your other devices you might wish to mount to the air vent.

Replace [dot] with actual "."
Note: I receive no monies from the Tetrax company, just thought I'd share.
Cool idea. Thanks for sharing.

if you watch the verizon stores you can purchase an OEM carmount really cheap due to clearance.... with the clearance discount and then my 25% discount ontop of that i was able to pick up the mount which also has a belt clip for around $12... it works great
Being from Europe, I spent ages trying to find one that didn't crucify on shipping. Found it on Tetrax Ireland with free postage. Thought I would share for anyone from this side of the Atlantic!!
Right now I have the OEM car mount, which I absolutely LOVE, but ill need to buy a new one every 2 years when I get a new phone. I like the fact that with this Tetrax one you can buy once and use it for multiple devices. What I'm not so wild about though, is the idea of having to attach small metal discs to the back of my devices.
Does anyone know of a good handlebar mount for bicycles or motorcycles? The ones i find on Amazon don't have any reviews, so i was just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience.
I haven't find any reviews on this topic. I used to bave a Samsung S65 bicycle handlebar, but the whole thing was wrong. This didn't meet my expectations. I suggest You a DIY concept, if You have the time and skills to do it.
Nite Ize
Nite Ize HandleBand. You can find it on Amazon (sorry it won't let me post a link)
Thanks for the input guys. I'll have to check out the Handleband. Thanks to the cold lately, I haven't been too rushed to find one, but I'd definitely like to get one set up before spring.
On my old original droid, I had a handlebar mount that was made specifically for it, and it was great. But since then, I haven't seen many phones with a mount made specifically for them.

I use this one with my HTC EVO 4G LTE and I have the [email protected] coming and will use it as well on my Buell Ulysses.
It is super sturdy, and tons of mount options...

Does that have an adjustable height? It doesn't look to be tall enough for the g2
I've been using one of these in my car for over a year now (with a Galaxy Nexus) and it's great. I'd imagine the handlebar mounted holder would work just as well. Currently have an Otterbox Commuter and it fits perfectly with the car mount I got from them.

Slip Grip - LG G2 (Verizon)
The slip grip looks pretty awesome. I have an incipio case rather than an otter box, but I may get the otter box so I can try that out. Thanks for the link
What I've been using is a universal "Spider Podium" off eBay/amazon for $7. Just a rubberized spider with legs you can bend however you'd like, great as a tablet stand also.
Is the spider podium pretty secure on a road bike? It looks like it would be a good option if it holds tight. Does it not easily slide or roll over on the handle bar?

I haven't received my G2 yet, I have my HTC EVO 4G LTE in it with a Seidio case. The lower arms are spring loaded to keep tension on the claws.
You can go to RAMS website and check all the mounts. I have 3 different mount for my bike. I can carry the Nexus 7 for GPS or my cell or both depending on my needs.
We used these in the military and I trust my equipment in them.
