When I bought my captivate through ebay I received a 1300 mAh battery. It wasn't Samsung its battery, so I bought a new 1500 mAh battery. Sadly it's life span was miserable, been using it over a year and it doesn't last for 6 with even medium usage.
Now I bought 2 batteries of 2000 mAh with an external battery charger:

Got this with all the accessories that came from Costco. Wouldn't think this would run 59.99.. Checked out amazon and it is that much. Damn what a rip off
Yea that dock charges the extended battery too. Gotta love costco on release day what a nice bonus!

I think the only other option would be the battery dock. It is overpriced imo, but I got it free with a bunch of other extras from good ol' costco.
Or, if your daring, you can get another charging cable and split the end to make contact with the battery's contacts. If you look online you should be able to find resources, but that seems impractical.
I got the Costco accessory kit too, love it. I find that it takes a long time to charge the battery outside the phone though. Almost twice as long. Are you guys seeing the same behavior?
Can anyone tell me about these batteries in terms of quality, features and possible problems.

I have a 3400 mugen (which I ended up paying $90) and one exactly like this one. Other than the battery cover, which is a hit or miss (replaced 2 covers already because the clips attaching it were broken), so except the cover the batteries ARE IDENTICAL in terms of performance and durability. I'm using the mugen cover though.

That's not normal at all, my Macbook charger gets pretty hot but that's got a large transformer inside, I think you should replace your charger Don't want to risk your new phones irreplaceable battery !

Mine is getting hot also... Had the UK charger. I think it's normal. The charger is small the transformer inside it would easily heat up and with the lack of space it would emit heat. And yeah it's unbearable most of the time.

I am also feeling the same way in my 9 month old 3T .. it's not only rapid discharge, but the charging time has also reduced significantly.. seems battery is deteriorating rapidly.. it's just my doubt though
Do you know guys where to get an OEM battery for the 3t tho? I remember I had a Google at it a while ago but couldn't find anything. Only for the regular 1+ 3.
