Out of nowhere my vibrations stopped working. There's no vibrations at all, that means when i touch the screen, when i receive a message or a phonecall, when i reboot my phone. I was running miniCM7 with nAa kernel (latest versions) and it worked correctly, but then it just happened. I reflashed my x8 to stock 2.1 - no luck. Flashed nAa v11 + miniCM7 2.1.9 - nothing's changed. My phone didn't fall to the floor or anything, but yet I think it might be hardware problem. Correct me if I'm wrong. Any suggestions guys ?
Regards
EDIT: Of course I performed a full wipe multiple times.

Eclair, Froyo or Gingerbread it doesnt matter as long as you have a stock kernel and stock rom. Lock the bootloader too. They might replace it hopefully

Hi, my X8's manufacturing date is 11W35 => so i can't unlock the bootloader as far as i know.
So which custom roms (maybe looking like gingerxperia or gingercruzt) work with a locked bootloader?
Thanks in advance
even i had a locked bootloader (11w41) W8 phone earlier, used gingerxperia v23 without any problems! With xperia active launcher! Nice combo!
Check any ROMS for stock kernel
You'll find the list in threads such as
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1425240
And many more...
there's a PrimeHD that work like a charm
On topic the developer show the requirements - Stock, nAa, Alfs kernel.
Just try LinuXperia for stock
and see yourself
Thanks everyone but i found out that gingercruzt runs on stock kernel, so i just installed it and it runs very good.
kuyadroid was nice any stable (dony know why developer isnt updating it anymore)
im really sorry for people with 11w29 ++,,unlucky guyz...OooOoo

Hi, does the FM radio move from headset to loudspeaker (back and forth) easily with that stock rom?
As I am running PrimeHD and it gets locked on one or the other and won't switch back - also will randomly jump to loudspeaker when out and about - a touch embarrassing when Billy Ray Cyrus comes blasting from your phones and you can't get it back on the headset
If so - can you post which version of gingercruzt you flashed?
Cheers ..

Yes easily moves from loudspeaker to headset and back, no problems there just tested it to be sure
I flashed v8.4 with stock kernel.
Another question; What is the fastest rom for X8 with stock kernel? Should also be battery saving and not ram consuming, but most important: FAST

On the contrary, I recommend Alfs v08a CM7.
It has MUCH better overall performance than nAa and benchmarks prove it.
I've never had a problem with Alfs and I've tested both kernels on many ROMs, so I know.
no improvements frens....wat to do...should i change the kernel??? if yes then plz send me link of that kernel....
How about posting your present kernel?
Anyway, there shouldn't be problems with kernel if you use Alfs CM7 v08a or nAa 13/14
Do you have a .vcf backup on your card? That's necessary in order to be able to restore contacts.
As for the wifi...maybe even a kernel problem. Try reflashing one of the aforementioned ones

That counts for Alfs too! I had nAa for a long time and decided to switch to Alfs because it performs much better in benchmark, esp. the uncapped version. No problems with nAa kernel, but. Alfs is still fully functional and very fast.

i had the same problems. here's what i did:
For contact problems:
1. wiped out everything in recovery (full factory reset)
2. re-installed joyos
For wi-fi (do this after you have re-installed joyos because if not you will have the same wi-fi error):
1. turn on wifi and try to download anything from google play
2. turn of your phone while your wi-fi is on and DLing.
3. turn on phone and see that its downloading.
hope this helps, if not please don't blame me.
It's sad to watch all these new ROM'S and kernel's here knowing you can't have them because u can't unlock your bootloader....
And ROM'S compactible with stock kernel are sometimes(70% of time)slow.
I've realized that now aftee getting motherboard with date number 12W03
Now I know how it feels...to be limited :'(
Don't think I am complaining because I'm not,I just want to bring back a little development for stock kernel to show us,stock kernel users that we are not forgotten.
With this thread I am asking someone of you developers to make really lightweight, smooth ROM.
I know you are busy with developing for nAa or some other kernel but I think that other stock kernel user, will agree with me.
Sorry for your time and thanks for reading this!

Well, stock is ungrateful and painful in development. I don't like to re-stock 50 times, root 50 times, put recovery etc. and still don't know what's going on because logcat doesn't even start. So I wouldn't expect so many ROMs.
And hey, it's 2013 adn X8 was released in 2010 so it's like using Celeron 433 MHz now

I don't know what you mean by lightweight. GingerDX is pretty standard when it comes to the apps that come with it. Besides anything you don't like can just be uninstalled using Titanium Backup.

If you have followed the instructions correctly then the most common problem is that you are not on eclair(2.1), but donut(1.6). Go to settings>about (or "about phone") and see the "baseband". If it doesn't end in 015 (xxx015) then that's what causing the problem.
Follow this guide to get to eclair (2.1) and try one more time to flash a custom rom, hopefully this time it will work:fingers-crossed:.

Yeah, that's normal, custom kernels don't work with stock rom.
Don't let the phone to start.
Boot into CWM (while on kernel logo hit the back button repeatedly) and install the rom. Also make sure to full-wipe, follow the installation instructions.

Mate, you are contradicting yourself.
At first you mentioned that you had soft-brick while flashing the rom, then you mentioned that you had problems while flashing the kernel.
At first you mentioned that you had stuck at the logo, then that you don't see the logo.
Lets make things clear, have you followed the installation instructions?
What have you done exactly and were is your problem?
Have you ever booted on CWM?
If you read my first post again then you will find a guide about how to revive your x8 from soft brick, use it.

If you mean the one that you can download from cm site then I think its better to consider flashing another cm7-based rom as there are better options.(like gingerdx, minicm, etc)
If I remember correctly this rom needs the FXP kernel.

Generally speaking, you will find this info at the first post of the rom's thread you want to flash.
Typical procedure for cm7 based roms is the following:
flash kernel(if the rom requires stock kernel you just skip this step, in other cases you flash the kernel that the rom works with)
boot into cwm
full-wipe(factory reset, wipe dalvik cache)(no need to wipe battery stats unless you have a problem with the battery percentage)
flash rom
(optional)flash gapps
first boot may take up to 2 minutes...
Ok..thanks... have you any suggestions for me but for roms with stock kernel...
