Why cant Devs port HTC ONE V Vanilla Rom? Same specs...
hey guys i would like to know why there has been no talk of porting a one v rom as there are so many similarities eg.
Screen Size, Ram, Camera, GPU, CPU, etc
i was thinking it would be best to port a vanilla ROM as sense would have increasing problems but also a stripped down version would allow the Rom to adapt to our small internal.

go to nexus one developing section.
there's sense 4.0 ROM.
It's much faster than sense 3.5
Nothing similar.
The CPU is the same as Desire HD/S/MyTouch 4G, being 1GHz it's still a different architecture and considerably faster than N1's.
The GPU blows the N1's away by a factor of 4. Nowhere near similar.
The storage is eMMC and not NAND, which means - different boot.
The camera is way different.
And even with One V's almost complete similarity to the older family above, without a proper HTC kernel the above mentioned devices don't have completely functional port, just like N1 doesn't have.

is ics rom compatible to salsa if made?
that depends on what its built on...sure there are many around, like my xperia x8 for instance, they not long brought out ics to run on it....very buggy though no wifi etc.
takes a lot of building to make an ics rom, so it will take awile to geet one fully made up bug free
On that note. why aren't there ant CM7 ports?also the sense builds churning out now are all on 2.3.3 while the latest version is2.3.7
Anyway there is a wildfire S/salsa rom in the development forum. the creator just puts some salsa bits into it to get it working on the salsa.cant the same be done for CM7 since the wildfire S already has it?

er...NO lol, im helping with dev of that sense rom...and its not easy....latest gingerbread is 2.3.5 is the furthest available at minute on the salsa+
., and as for cm7.....it would be nice.....but we lack in other areas before cm7 can be ported.
like im testing kernels out.....each time failed...again from wildfire s
wildfire s roms made for salsa....failed
we are where we are at the minute.....please dont ask for something we haven't even got a dev for!

I have rooted using [TUTORIAL] Unlock Bootloader (India)+Root+Increase Internal Storage.
What is the ROM installed during the above process?
Is the latest? If not which is the latest stable ROM?

Well, with my ROM you get loads of nice options in the installer for a start
Installed the 4.2 Photosphere on my Vibrant running SlimBean 2.8 (which is very stable) and the camera works but lags to no end, even after changing the bulid.prop, so Im assuming this is due to our older hardware... yes or no?
Most likely yes. The app is built for the nexus 4 which has better hardware than the galaxy s3. The image/camera processor in the krait is definitely much better than the one in the hummingbird.
Photosphere doesn't work on vibe because it doesn't have a gyroscope. The camera should work fine without a build prop edit.

sorry to say, but ur question seems to sounds like ur doubting our DEVs ability here.
As far as i know, every devs here struggle their best to make something awesome for U guys eventhou they sacrifies their own RL time to create something better for u. So why comparing thems?
As for me, every single custom ROM out there are magnificient, incredible and all DEV are should get their credits for their works and i never n ever will comparing their works as i think if i even try to compare, it will be rude for me n for them
Comparing doesnt even makes sense for me as all human are equal.

when i started to flash i used to ask that too.
but now, with a running titanium backup, it really isn't that complicated to switch between many different roms.
my favourites have been remics, helly and mackay
mmmmmmmm....which rom is perfect....???? the answer of these question is ,,It depends in every one Opinion ,,...
and my opinion is..... i tried a lot of roms but i love cm 10.1 which based in RC4 its so smooth .. and stable and i have no problem with it till now....

Hi all,
I finally decided to sell this old phone. It's time, it's time...
Perhaps I've 2 persons interested onto, my problem before show it to them is : WHAT ROM FLASH ?
I've tried all the roms released this year. Baaaaaa, terrible. Every rom is a disaster, lag, slow, bugs... I've to return in the past ! But where in the past ? I've to flash a rom that who'll buy my phone may use. No excuse on this, an usable rom. I've to flash simply a JB 4.3 ? What kind ? What rom ? Or I've to go beyond, 4.2.2 ? Or even 4.0.x ? And the same, what kind of rom ?
Please, help me to flash a rom that is able to make my phone "normal", "standard", "usable", it doesn't matter what rom is, just 4.x.x :highfive:

Hi everyone umm this is my new and first thread . I just wanted to tell those guys who have been putting in so much of hard work for us . For such awsome roms thankyou very much ol the nougat based roms are cool . It was just a thought that in all nougat roms cpu is overclocked i don'tknow y because when i used miui 7 kitkat cpu was from 200mhz-1.21mhz in miui kitkat based roms i never faced heating or battery drain issues . I think because of overclocking cpu tht might be the problem just keeping cpu at its normal processing . It would be honour if developerslooks towards that and i just wanted to request just stretch the screen on time between 5-6 hours thats it like normal use of whatsapp and some browsing then everyone will use these roms only. Thankyou again for all the awsome roms guys. Your custom roms are by far the best miui cant match these roms?❤. RR❤Aex?and many more

In miui 8 5-6 hours in custom roms 4-5 hours

Yup . But miui 7 kitkat is also best but it doesn't have much customised ui like miui 8 .
You can use mokee release android 6 or htc remix(gives 6hrs of SOT)

No its awesome ?i had swtiched to kitkat for just old experience but go bored of android 6 because of pixel launcher in custom roms???thats y . Htc rom is awsome?just flash the rom then update clear cache & dalvik then flash gapps pic . Done reboot n enjoy
