Hi, I was wondering whether this problem happens to anyone before.... I am now on XXJW4 with Kernel by semaphore.
What I discover is, whenever the phone is connecting to the internet, wifi or 3G doesn't make a difference, the phone will freeze like hell. This happened when the Wifi fan or the 3G symbol on the top is grey. When the symbol turns to blue, the phone behaves like normal and fast.
Does anyone face the same problem or does anyone know why does it behave like that and the solution of it?
Thank You
Does anyone know about this....?

Hi,
Has anyone had the same problem as this?
When sliding out the HW keyboard, the GSM signal always seems to disappear and then when sliding back again the signal returns to its previous state.
Anyone have any suggestions?
Cheers
That's a weird one ...never had that myself (just tried again before posting of course)
Is it the signal itself, or the icon / indication of signal? Just wondering if a custom icon set might have something to do with it?
Edit: just noticed you're on a custom ROM ...definitely worth asking the question to the "Touch-IT Experience 4" gang specifically (am on stock ROM2AA myself)
Is the signal completely as cannot send SMS when in landscape, occasionally it decides to come back but at a very low level.
I'm running itje's Touch-IT V4 which has the FLNix custom icons, but I can confirm that this also happens on a completely stock ROM when I first purchased my handset.
I'll wait and see if anyone else has any suggestions.
Mine used to loss signal on keyboard mode, not anymore after the second update of rom
I tend to lose wifi signal when I pull out the keyboard, but only if I have low signal to begin with.
i started noticing this too :S its annoying and weird

Same here.
This is a bit weird. I'm on MIUI 0.10.22 for what that's worth. The issue is that if I make my N1 a wifi hotspot with a password, after a while the phone hangs and I need to do a battery pull. If I do the same but leave the hotspot open, unpassworded, it ticks along just fine hour after hour. Neither use causes the phone to warm up unreasonably. Anyone has experienced this?
using CM 6.1 RC1 and have none the issue.
MIUI is still in testing, probably it's a known problem? can anyone confirm?
Hi,
After being an android fanboy. I decided to try out WP8, and got a lumia 520.
All is well except for one problem that is driving me up the wall. The wifi disconnects when the screen turns off. It is persistent and no matter what I do. It will disconnect as soon as the screen turns off. Due to this im always offline on viber, skype, whats app..
Yes, I have disabled battery saver, and yes I have enabled "Keep wifi on when screen times out". Even then it disconnects wifi when screen turns off.
I have done a hard reset (the one which deleted all my data) but even that did not fix the problem.
How can I fix this?
P.S. warranty is not possible as I bought this phone in UK when I went there on visit, I am now in my home country.
The "keep wifi on when the screen times out" option is the only one I know of relevant in this situation, and it should prevent this problem.
Another way to ensure WiFi stays connected is to keep the phone plugged in.
Finally, do you just not have a data plan or something? Apps and background services will general switch smoothly between WiFi and cellular data.

I have the same problem with you with lumia 720. Did you find anything to fix this?

Yeah.
It was a firmware problem. I managed to fix it by installing a fresh WP8 image using NSU for retail: you can download it from here: http://wmpoweruser.com/nokia-softwa...ilable-as-the-ultimate-bricked-phone-rescuer/
OK say I have paired it with a Sony Xperia Z1 compact.
As soon as the screen turns off it loses connection with the phone. It still thinks it's connected (there is no cloud with a line through it on the watch face screen) and when you say ok google it tries to interpret but then I get the screen that says
disconnected and to the right is a little icon of a cloud with a line through it and underneath there are options for built-in functions like "show my steps", show me my heart rate" , etc
If I manually disconnect and reconnect using the Android Wear app on the phone it works again straight away.
Anyone else seeing this behaviour?
I had that problem right at the start. Can't remember how I fixed it
Restart both devices? Uninstall and reinstall wear app on phone? Update to latest watch firmware?
Do you have stamina activated which us turning your Bluetooth off on screen off?

Hey that could be it. I do have stamina enabled because the battery in my phone is going down rapidly with the watch connected. I'll turn stamina off and see what happens. Cheers!
EDIT: I think this might be fixed now after turning off stamina mode. I'll need to test furtehr thugh. Thanks skitty
I'm still getting this quite a bit. Is anyone else still experiencing random bluetooth disconnects? It still thinks that they're connected until I try to do a google now search and then it tells me they're disconnected. I tried uninstalling the wear app on the phone and reinstalling. I also cycled bluetooth and that seems to fix it in the short term. Suggestions?

I'm pretty sure, for me, the answer was to disable stamina mode on my xperia phone. I very very rarely see the disconnected message any more.
Cycling BT also used to help for me but all that was doing was temporarily foxing the stamina setting. It always switched itself off again.
I'm having the same issues, here's my post in the general android wear help forum
"So I've searched around a bit and not really found anyone else having this issue... Is it just me or is no one complaining?
The Bluetooth connection shows to be solid on the phone "connected, running sync loop" shows in the notification bar and the little connection lost cloud is not displayed on the watch.
However, notifications will not push and if I try to initiate a voice command it spins for while and then tells me that it is "unable to reach the Google server" turning Bluetooth on and then back off will rectify the issue temporarily. And... To make things more complicated it will randomly happen a lot one day and hardly at all another day ( of course it always acts up when someone starts asking questions about the watch and wants a demo, which in turn makes you look like a gullable early adopting fool.)
I'm currently using a gear live with a nexus 5 running the latest stable build of cm11. Ive also tested with and without WiFi enabled, because I thought I noticed a correlation but there seems to be none.
Is it me? Am I doing something wrong?"
I have also tried running stock faces vs custom with no change
hasn't happened since 9:00 this morning.. today... yesterday I missed almost every notification
disconnect
Not sure if this is related or if anyone can give advice but for me (HTC one max) whenever my Samsung gear live is disconnected from phone...phone randomly restarts all by itself. Tried factory reset, was fine until I set it up again. Made sure android wear was off...just tried turning off Google now see if that helps.... Anyone else experiencing the restarts? Sorry on phone so messy post...
Woah sorry i forgot about this post. My issue was the stock kernal for cm11. When i switched to another kernal, my issue vanished.
I am having the issue where if my phone is asleep I cant do any searches. Now I know or at least I'm pretty sure that its not the watch or the app but something on the phone. Phone is a galaxy note 3 sprint version running temasek's unofficial cm12 rom. The watch is stock of course. When I get a notification the watch will happily wake up and tell me about it, but when I try to tell the watch a command with the phone sleeping is where the problem presents itself. The issue appeared after a few of the rom updates (happens even with a clean install) and I know he's a busy guy (temasek) but I would like to see if anyone here could help me figure it out to be able to provide a solution to others that are having my same issue. Any and all help is appreciated.
I have a Nexus 6, flashed with the 6.0 factory image.
I have my wifi set to always on (for tmobile calling). After then screen locks it shuts wifi off. This is great for my battery but bad for my staying connected. At work cell coverage is spotty and without wifi always on I can get 30min + delay in getting text/calls. This has caused a few problems with my boss thinking im off screwing around and ignoring him.
Anyone else notice this? or have a way to keep wifi always on.
My wifi randomly drops since I updated to 6.0. It is annoying. I am not sure if it is tied to the screen shutting off or not.
Yeah it's getting supper annoying. I'm at wits end with it. Might flash back to 5
Probably it is related to this bug: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=188909
When I turned off my WiFi, it was still running, showed in the battery history detail. It was OFF, so I expect it's also OFF there. But it's not OFF. Although today, I don't have that problem.
So please STAR that bug to get more attention.
Have you all tried HellsCore kernel with the "old" WiFi drivers that he built? Apparently it resolved issues for people.
Happen to have a link? Had hoped to stay stock for awhile but ATM its killing me.
