When will the official ICS be available? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Saw someone got updated. I have an international version. No update yet.
Sorry too many of these threads already
..........THREAD CLOSED...........

I'm 100% certain this has been asked more than once. Next time search, search and search. It depends on your region. Samsung are rolling out the update in Germany. Other regions will follow suit. For example, I'm in the UK. So I'm following @samsungmobileUK's twitter feed for any information regarding the update.

Built in news now US only

Since last week (when still on stock ROM) my news widget will only show me US based news, sports and details. I have set my location to be automatically determined and request UK news, but I still get US.
Since this started happening I have upgraded to CyanogenMod-5 & it still does the same (I did wipe).
Anyone got any clues, I have no interest in US news ....
Yes. This happening to everybody outside of the US. There are posts about it on the official Nexus help forum. Google have advised that they are looking into it, but no fix ETA or any more info.
Cheers, perhaps they want us to know more about US internal politics ? They might do better the other way around .....

Official overview of all Motorola firmware rollouts

Thought this might be worth a share, but pretty hard to find the right spot.
By accident i "stumbled" over the official Motorola road map, separated into device, countries and the planned or ongoing roll out of the specific firmware.
Hope this helps:

[Q] Where Can I Find Stock Firmware for EK-GC200?

I am looking to find stock firmware for the Galaxy Camera 2, but seem to have come to a dead end.
I live in China, and have bought a new Galaxy Camera 2 here. I love the camera, but the firmware installed is obviously region specific, and is missing many things that come as standard on Western stock firmware (such as all Google apps including the Play Store etc.) and Facebook for example.
I know I could just use Odin to root the device, take off the Chinese bloatware and side load the apks I wanted, but I would prefer to use a new stock firmware from somewhere like US or UK.
I've been searching for several days, including on xda, but can't find anywhere reliable with the firmware. Would anyone here be able to point me in the right direction? I'm pretty sure no ones asked this question before on the forum, but if I'm being stupid and have simply missed it, I hope you'll forgive my ignorance.
Otherwise cheers, and I appreciate any help offered. :good:
SamMobile has the US(Cellular South) firmware:

Hmm, not seeing US for the EK-GC110.

Hello in China! Unfortunately due to the fact that I'm new in this forum, I'm not yet permitted to place links in my posts and/or replies Which is no fun, especially when you think that you might have the answer for someone! BUT, hopefully you can find the page I'm talking about by doing an online search for 'regional firmware for ek-gc200' which should lead to the link I believe you're looking for on the very 1st page of google listed as 'Samsung Updates - Firmware Download Page' . OR you can always try Samsung's main site and search for an 'updates' section on there Hope it helps!

Without unlocking the bootloader it will be difficult ?
please stop asking questions nobody knows... it will be out when its ready.
Interestingly Huawei offered to update my phone beyond the Three UK v134 ..... But only if I sent the phone off to their engineers.

First, it was a legitimate question that somebody working at the appropriate place could very well know the answer to, second it is ready according to Huawei's own Weibo account.
I did hear from a couple of users that they've been told by Huawei Europe that the roll out of emui 9 will be on or near December 22 (Croatia and Serbia respectively).
I spoke with a Huawei Canada customer service representative who told me that the November 10 roll out was for Chinese models only and that no specific date has been provided for the North American release. They suggested following Huawei Mobile on social media for updates
?
So the more answers they give, the more questions remain.
If Europe is getting it December 22, the rest of the world can't be far behind.

Yes, Huawei Croatia said that roll out will be on December 22, and Huawei Serbia talk only about December (without precise day)
Conversely, you can try using Firmware Finder from the app store. I suggest watching a YouTube video on how to use it properly to install any available firmware for your Huawei device.
Given uk devices are still waiting on GPU turbo update that rolled out to other devices in the summer, I expect we might get pie by Easter?.... And I really wish that was sarcasm.
It seems the beginning will be 22nd of December, but national operators will hold it a bit, as usual.
I just contacted Three support to ask when updates (any updates!) are being pushed.... they responded:
"the android version are available on the Google store, Three provide with the phone and not android version."
Erm... what?!?!?!
---------- Post added at 17:11 ---------- Previous post was at 16:13 ----------
I've managed to speak to a customer relations manager - they are pushing an update next week, but won't say what version it is!
"As this point of time, the technical team are not ready to reveal that information. As they have been told by Huawei not to reveal this information till the software is realeased."!!
I have, however, managed to convince them to release me from the 24mth contract so I can return the phone. Fed up with the lack of development caused by the bootloader unlock issue, and the ridiculous lack of updates.
Anyone seen this?

The models listed in the article should be the same ones that have EMUI 9 available for download through the Firmware Finder app.
Unfortunately, my model isn't listed as I'm sure others are missing too.
My model is listed in the article but not in firmware finder for pie
Not sure about trying it myself
Supposedly there might be a release to a major European market by the end of next week. I'd wait before trying something that's uncertain. Hopefully Canada isn't too far behind.
Last time Three UK told me something was "imminent" it was security patches that were already outdated and no new features at all.

About updates in my country (CHILE)

Hello, guys!
Today something came up to my mind and I was wondering if you know anything about this...
A couple of months ago I changed to my actual mobile company (Entel), i was using WOM, but the thing is that I saw in SamMobile that there is an update available days ago for S10 and I can't receive it being in Entel, I'm always checking for new updates but there's nothing, I think that when WOM releases it I will be able to have it, but the question is...
Does anybody know how could I change this? Does it happen in your countries? If I'm registered in their servers as a client I would receive the update, wouldn't I?

firmware releases are put out incrementally by IMEI, but in the interim, if you want to update manually, you can. And yes, this also happens in the USA. I would not recommend downloading the firmware directly from sammobile.com/fimwares tho only because they take such a long time. Samfirm and Frija are both tools that download firmware literallt 5 times faster. it takes about 2 hours when diwnloading directly from sammobile vs about 20 min on samfirm or frija (ive used both many times and theyre literally the same)
