[Q] Is there a bug in GingerDX v019's Market?

Im just asking if there is a bug in the market?because I cannot download an application, Can someone help me about this please.

What's the problem? you can't open the market, or what?

Have you tried re-install? I ran into some bugs the first time i installed GDX, but after doing a full wipe on xRecovery and then re-installing v019, the whole system just works fine, no bugs, no crashes, including market...

I tried to download the facebook for android phone in the market but it says "Error downloading" something like that but if I use the browser the internet is fine, got any idea about this problem guys?

Wifi is not that stable for me. Sometimes I need to turn it off and turn it on again manually.

I did the same thing and since then Market is working flawlessly.
for me Wifi is working alright. Only problem is when I try to connect it to my laptop's Ad-hoc N/w. X8 just can't get the IP Address!!!
BTW I've got GDX V019 on my X8.

I never use stock market so idk...i always install v 3.3.1

I can download from android market normally

I have never had any problems with GingerDX v.019 up to now.
But note that I also use LinuxDX with it.

if u have connect with ad hoc try for not protec wifi with password or set in WEP not WPA2

Got connected for the first time using WEP.
But then X8 got rebooted suddenly. Now mobile is showing 'Network not in Range!!!'.

the main bug in gdx is that it does not runs HD games like sandstorm

hi all , i am using GDX v21 it's great and all but the problem is ...
-it keeps rebooting by itself!
-at times when the screen timeout it wont turn on ...i am forced to remove the battery to reboot the phone
at first i thought it'a bug so i full wiped my phone restored with tita backup
about a day later boom! it happened again!! AND I CANT TAKE IT!!
it happens when i
-open wifi
-downloading songs
-or open wifi in general
THAT IS WHY IT'S SO ANNOYING I AM DOWNLOADING SONGS AND IT REBOOTS i lost all my progress!! ARRR
so is there a solution?? or is there going to be a bug fix in the next GDX version?
i am considering a new rom ...what is the most stable rom out there? i tried froyobread 2.2 but the link i am unable to enter ...help please!

have you wiped it WITHOUT doing a titanium backup?? it could be an app causing it.
also what kernel version you running?

erm..imma using stock kernel~ i full wipe throught cwm ...i cant enter xrecovery too with GDX ...i love GDX really...but this is quite serious

have you done a re-wipe and installed NOTHING? dont do a titanium restore.

tried before when the 1st time this problem occured...back then i have no tita but no use

is your bootloader unlocked? you could try a custom kernel it might help. or you could try a different rom to see if you still get the same problem.
also do you know how to use ADB? if you do could you do a adb logcat -d logcat.txt and upload it for us to see?

no no unlock bootloader for me! hard brick my phone once and dont dare to do again ...

oh..i know whats adb...u mean terminal emulator? type that code in my w8?

basically if you want to have a gingerbread rom try kuya droid
ginger DX is full of bugs.
and if you want a really stable rom try froyobread

Check the review of the app, it doesnt say u can tether phone to phone .

No, Killjoy is talking about the more-or-less discontinued CyanogenMod for the Xperia X8 (from the FreeXperia Team).
If you want to install it (not recommended, the ROM is highly buggy and feature incomplete), you need to unlock your boot loader to install the FXP kernel to make the ROM work ... as for installation ... simply search the forum, there are some installation guides around.
You could also give WiFi Tether a try ... I had it working on GingerDX v019 through v021 by using the 3.1 Beta version (though in my case it was the 3.1-pre105).
NOTE: If you're on Stock you at least need to root the ROM!

Barnacle work fine for me, other phones discover me normal... gdx 19-21

yeah i was talking about the rom B.Jay was talking about, i've used it for months and found no errors or bugs so far, it does great at what i want it for which is music, texting, general internet use and wifi tether. Barnacle is so slow on my X8, which is why i changed to this, make sure you turn on the "Auto Associate" in the settings then it'll refresh every 5 second util a device connects. if not, try PDANet and use wired tether.

i would greatly suggest unlocking bootloader + nAa kernel + cm7-2.1.6!!

Joyos problem

ok it is said that there are no bugs in joyOs... i have two problem
1st is my wifi didnt work... when i try to on the wireless button it automatically goes to off.
2nd is problem in importing contact from sd card which i already asked but no rply yet

Maybe you should get a logcat so the dev would know where to look?

Try a different rom..
You can install the same launcher for free in the PlayStore.

That's very weird. I've been using it with full app load for an entire week and got no bugs. Try wiping or something...
None of the bugs you posted applied for me, so that obviously isn't a bug in the rom

On the contrary, I recommend Alfs v08a CM7.
It has MUCH better overall performance than nAa and benchmarks prove it.
I've never had a problem with Alfs and I've tested both kernels on many ROMs, so I know.

no improvements frens....wat to do...should i change the kernel??? if yes then plz send me link of that kernel....

How about posting your present kernel?
Anyway, there shouldn't be problems with kernel if you use Alfs CM7 v08a or nAa 13/14
Do you have a .vcf backup on your card? That's necessary in order to be able to restore contacts.
As for the wifi...maybe even a kernel problem. Try reflashing one of the aforementioned ones

A-B works,camera isn't laggy,+ other things I don't remeber. I was on Alfs too but now I'm on nAa 14 for long time. And battery is very good-about 5 days!

That counts for Alfs too! I had nAa for a long time and decided to switch to Alfs because it performs much better in benchmark, esp. the uncapped version. No problems with nAa kernel, but. Alfs is still fully functional and very fast.

i had the same problems. here's what i did:
For contact problems:
1. wiped out everything in recovery (full factory reset)
2. re-installed joyos
For wi-fi (do this after you have re-installed joyos because if not you will have the same wi-fi error):
1. turn on wifi and try to download anything from google play
2. turn of your phone while your wi-fi is on and DLing.
3. turn on phone and see that its downloading.
hope this helps, if not please don't blame me.

[Q] Need help with CM10 4.1.2

Today I installed CM10 on my xperia x8 the nAa kernel which ending in .32
Everything is normally installed, the phone started but WiFi won't work
Whenever I activate it, it turns off automatically and I can't connect to the Internet.
Do you have a solution?

Maybe you've flashed wrong one, flash nAa-5 or 6 kernel because it uses newer wifi driver.

I tested with 05, wifi won't work :/
