I had yet touch LPF and I already read here of this problem together with solution - change channel of your AP/Router and try.
I am interested in knowing the cause of this issue. Is it just that the modem with LPF ROM does not work on certain frequencies? Is it anything out of the five files flashed for this ROM? PIT file? Something is not making sense with the modem working fine for some and not for others when it comes to wifi.
Edit:
I flashed the LPT modem with no improvement in wifi, so it's not the modem, it seems. I am still looking to find the cause of this issue, so if you have any thoughts, please share. Thanks.
OK, this thread is reopened but not moved to Development?
/system/etc/wifi/nvram_net.txt
ZSLPF, due to being for a different region then XX, likely has a different ccode there.
ccode doesn't matter much for 2.4 GHz, but it is very important for 5 GHz as there is far less overlap between country-specific bands.

AT&T doesn't even have HSPA+ support yet. A lot of places still don't even have 3G yet.
Using the speedtest.net app I've hit 4885kbps (which is a lot lower than my best results with the x10) but it is HSPA+ territory if I'm not mistaken.

That sounds about standard download speed for 3G. But alas you didn't say if that was up or download speed. Hspa+ territory is 22mb and up I think. Don't feel like looking it up again so I may be wrong entirely

The only things that AT&T currently sells that are HSPA+ enabled/capable are those USB dongles for internet plans. Some are even LTE capable.
Hmmm, not really an answer to the question though. I've been all over the forums and Google trying to find out if there are currently any modem releases for the Captivate that will enable / support HSPA+ speeds.
There is no consensus. Seems that some folks think that HSPA+ is just having HSDPA and HSUPA enabled on your device with the likes of the TLJL3 and other modem variants that enable HSUPA.
Others say that there is no currently available modem that supports HSPA+ speeds. So I ask plainly, which is it?
If there is an HSPA+ compliant modem, where do I get it so I can port it over and get rocking and rolling?
Huh? No responses?
Is the answer just that obvious, or does no one know the answer?

Here is the radio from the French 2.1.1 sbf.
Download it here.
Works the same as 1.87 already posted.
Cheers!
EDIT: Apparently there are two versions in this sbf, this would be 1.92 for baseband, although 1.86 in the codegroup5 file.
Will this fix the wi-fi drop issue?
would like to know as well. im probably flashing the french sbf tonight anyways so il try it out and report back. the wifi issue is driving me nuts.
Never had that issue as such, sure if I am several rooms over from my router, but other than that, no problems. So not sure if it fixes it or not.
Cheers!
NF! you are supposed to know the answer to everything!
What are the benefits of flashing this instead of 1.87?

Please list details what phones will this work with whats the difference is the upload uncapped?
the radio is from the french sbf that works only on bell so im assuming that this will only work on bell as well.

Hard to say, just provided the radio for folks to try if they are having problems.
Another radio with unlocked uploads, version difference is 0.01, probably the same radio for most intents and purposes. Always possible some carrier specific change will be the difference for someone.
This sbf has only been tested on Bell, but like the other radio, it's probably no biggy to get it to work with ATT, just need to use the rdl1 and rdl3 from an ATT sbf.
And no, I don't have all the answers, lol.
Cheers!

Incorrect, the french sbf is not for AT&T but the radio that nfhimself is cross-carrier.

Nah I haven't tried switching any radios. I'm on gingeblur 3.1 with the 1.83 sbf update. Though I heard if you update the sbf way instead of the ota that everything updates except the bootloader but with the ota? the bootloader actually updates too. I wonder if theres any reason to update the bootloader or just leave it the way it is?? Oh well thats going off topic anyway. But still would be nice to know...
You guys still get 3G data disconnect with some audio streaming apps with this radio or 1.83?

That means that I could flash this to my At&t Atrix?
You should be able to, but without an ATT atrix I can't guarantee it will work since I haven't tried it.

Can anyone Provide ATT shipping radio N_01.77.15P or the newest one if thats not the one just need the radio by it self so i can flash it and dont lose data. Flashed the N_01.87.00R couz ppl said it would increase speeds but speeds are the same and phone acually gets hotter then before under heavy use
I've been having issues for a while now (about 3 month) where anyone I speak to on the phone can hear their own voice echoing back. I don't hear anything on my end.
It started happening at a point where a made a few changes to my phone (upgraded to JB, new battery, replaced the charging circuit and flashed a custom rom) so im having trouble pinning down what is causing it.
Has anyone else experience similar issues and know how to solve it?

Open call dial -> call settings -> additional settings -> tic on noise reduction
OR during having a call, press menu -> noise reduction on
..
Makes no difference.
I forgot to mention that I'm on the Stunner 2 rom but have tried a few others all with the same problem.
try different modem, maybe modem issue? That usually doesnt change inbetween rom. Which modem are you on? Try reflashing it, or different version. At own risk

I have tried XXLSA, XXLSС, XXLSO and XXLT3 taken from this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1645202
You have just reminded me that since this started I have also had some issues with not being able to get a 3G signal in areas where I once could without trouble.

Ok if none of that helps, as well as new/different rom/kernels, maybe hardware.
Perhaps the modem with which you didnt have any issues if you can remember.

in that case you can try, but I suspect issues. Modems shouldnt matter at all which why originally they arent supplied with custom roms. I am really just guessing now.
I preferred lp5 with all roms untill Jb, now lt3.
I think maybe give mobile odin a try with flashing the modem, versus flashing the zipfile.
Also keep a lookout for logs, maybe it gives some details as to what is going wrong with your phone. Try logcat, elixer2 or android tuner (paid) for that.

No problem here... I do believe that Motorola's Wi-Fi radio doesn't play will with some routers, never heard of your problem before though. I have an Asus ac56u and it sees 5ghz fine.

Following up on your post here, channel 149 is picked up by my Moto X. Maybe give that a try and see if yours picks it up too. Strange I've never had to do channel specifics for any other phone though. Thanks for the info.
moto x is also ac compatible. I get 433mbps or 450 or something like that. Can't recall the exact number when I checked it.
Nice wish I had a router that handled that. I'm still kinda shocked it doesn't handle all N channels.

Ha about that I have a Moto z Droid force and Motorola Droid turbo 2 and they have a mysterious problem I'm using the phone overseas and here I have two different carriers one of them is GSM and the other one is CDMA , if I'm going to use that GSM carrier the phone with operate normally seeing the both 2. 4 gigahertz Wi-Fi and the 5 gigahertz Wi-Fi but if I'm going to use the CDMA carrier I can see the 5 gigahertz Wi-Fi no matter what I do to make the phone see it unless of course I put it in Airplane mode and then searching for the Wi-Fi
And that's the weirdest problem I ever met

I checked and Gomdolight is for Korean version (f340 I think), are you sure you can?
(in the thread of Gomdolight, 1 guy was successfully installed, but he said nothing different, hhope he did not mean about wifi)
Could you report your try here?
Thanks in advance
Yes, I did as well and came to the same conclusion as the Dev did regarding the post stating no real changes noticeable. I plan to pm that member later on to see if he has any more feedback/advice before I commit. From what I gather the more modded features involve Korean based apps and such so for a D950 user not to notice is not surprise. I should know more tomorrow evening weather or not it is effective or not. Would do it sooner but I need to stay connected today so..... I'll keep you posted.
For me, the wifi strength is important. The rom itself does not matter.
Anyway, waiting for your post
==== edit =====
I had some time to check Gomdolight. Actually it is not a ROM, but a Modifier (remove system apps)
I don't think they change something for wifi-driver, which I believe is the problem for the weak wifi.
but just let me know how it is improved with your Gflex
thanks

Hey,my apologies to all who were waiting on the results of my attempted flash of the Gomdolite firmware mod. I'm sorry to report that although it installed successfully( albiet in a limited capacity due to variant and build discrepancies), it did not resolve my wifi woes.I will continue running Gomdolite despite that fact. Off topic and my apologies in advance, but it has improved my devices overall speed and fluidity. Hope someone has a solution soon...Btw, since my D950 doesn't have to function as my primary phone as of yesterday, (returned to Samsung, Note4) I am willing to Guinea pig for the common good of finding a resolution to our issues.Let me know if you got anything to test.
