Kind of bricked my touchpad while trying to install TWRP and I cannot boot to anything, however moboot is working, any help guys?
If you can't boot into webOS either then you ate probablyb gonna have to use acmeinstaller2 to reinstall Android.... and I don't understand how you borked TWRP.... in GooManager you simply tell it to install the recovery and poof... I mean it couldn't be easier

Fixed it by doctoring. I used the app and install and when I wanted to see if it was working, i manually restart and all the boot just say loading OK and stops there.

sounds like he filled his /boot partition, i had the same issue when i had CWM, WebOS, CM7, Ubuntu and then tried to install TWRP, and it wouldnt boot...i ended up doing a full manual partition since i needed to reallocate size for ubuntu apps anyway

Nah, I only had CM9 , WebOS, CWM. I found the problem, Goo manager downloaded a corrupted .img for me, as seen in the sdcard it only was 7.34 kB. I had to manually download from the website then flash using CWM. I think it is my ISP fault that it does not allow me to download properly, I had to retry loads of times before the download prompt appeared. Now its working fine

Well I got to compile the last non-touch recovery and finally is now possible to mount both SDcards (internal and external).
Work:
Installing from ZIP
Factory Reset
Wipe Cache
Backup Nandroid
Internal and External SDCard
Untested:
Fix Permissions
Battery Stats
SDCard Partition
Download: CWM 5.2.0.8
Thanks to TheManii for the help.

What ROM did you use it with?
Could you also upload your source files? I'd like to take a look at what's changed.
I plan on working on it more mid may when my semester ends.
I'm also gonna remirror it off streakdroid.com. I assume you dont mind.

Just wondering if one could do an Android restore from files created with CWM 4.0.1.4 using say CWM 5.0.2.8?

Going to give this a try with ICS B4 and see if it can handle it.

Try this recovery for ICS maybe work. If boot work maybe in ICS the problem is recovery.fstab
The partition is different of HoneyComb?
Greetings
I just tried it on ICS B4 and get the same "Can't mount /data!" error after backing up the boot image, recovery img and system that I got with CWM 4.0.1.4.
Backup to internal card errors with "Can't mount backup path". Whoops! I didn't mount the EMMC. Probably would get the same error as with the external sd.
Recs designed for HC wont wont on ICS as ICS has different partitions.
If we ever get an ICS build that uses the same partitions then the recs for HC will also work on it
Edit: 5.0.2.8 is mirrored and linked to the wiki now

Thanks.
Any with ICS, You can enter the recovery (CWM 5.0.2.8) and go to Advanced-> Show Log
After this reboot to system. Open Root filemanager and go to cache/recovery/last_log (To read the last_log must copy it to another route) & copy the info here.
And repeat the process with Stock Recovery of ICS (Attach ICS Stock Recovery of the ICS B4 of DJ_Steve ROM).
Greetings

What rom are you trying to flash?
Man, ok heres my story.
Actually iam trying to flash a recovery mode but there so many threads that i dont know wich one is better. I tried some of them but i dont know where to start. I only end up at the fastboot mode and not pass that.
Sent from my LG-P999 using XDA Premium App
and you ran "fastboot flash recovery ./recovery.img" ? And you made sure your device is in fastboot mode first?
ok this what i did, i Press VOL + AND POWER at the same time and gave me fastboot.
Then plug in the phone to the computer and the computer detects it but when i go to the computer devices it does not show anything available.
I do have the ROM MANAGER app Installed and flash the recovery mode but it does not show up when i press VOL - AND POWER, It just turns ON.
just type in "fastboot devices". if you see "? device" than you are good. If not you need to install the fastboot drivers.
A friend of mine suggested that I try Cyanogenmod, so I decided to flash my Galaxy Mini. The first problem was the bootloop, and no matter how many times I wiped the phone, it was always stuck at the Android text. So I decided to try the Honeycomb mod. Same happened. So I decided to flash it with Android 2.3.6 from sammobile.com. At last, it started working. However, Google Play still sees every application as "installed" (but of course they aren't), and when I try to delete from GP, nothing happens. After trying to install other applications, I realized that I cannot install anything from the market. Any idea how I could solve this problem? I would be very grateful.

Yes I did. I used CWM 5.0.2.6. The funny part is that after being turned off 3 times, Google Play started working But if there's a solution to the bootloop problem I would love to hear it. I searched this forum and the internet and nothing, even though I followed a cyanogenmod wiki's guide.
did you wipe two times before and after flashing cyanogenmod rom
How old is your sd card? because same happened to me. I needed to format my sd card.

Anyway, tour problem is the CWM you used, didnt u see the DONT USE sign in the version 5.0.2.6 thread? 5.0.2.8 would avoided those errors in flashing custom ROMs

So I downloaded the new recovery, flashed it via Odin, and now nothing works. When I enter recovery it says that it can't mount /cache/log and /cache/recovery (I think it says these two). I looked around and found that it could be stuck in a bootloop, but luckily Android loads. However, I can't root my phone due to several errors, so I can't install Cyanogen mod. I think I'll give up now But thanks for all the help!

Thanks very much Here is what I did step by step:
I returned to the stock recovery by installing the stock firmware. I rooted the phone with stock recovery. Then I installed CWM recovery 5.2.0.8, but I still get the same error in CWM: it can't mount a few things. I still tried installing Cyanogen without wiping, and of course it's stuck at the boot screen with the Android text (I had a feeling that it wouldn't work if the recovery is not fully operational, so I did not want to lose every contact for nothing again). I read that this problem can be solved by formatting the SDCard, so I tried formatting it with PC and the phone also, but nothing. So now I'm back to the stock firmware and recovery with my phone rooted and no idea how to solve any of the problems.

This was just a trial run due to the new CWM recovery. If you read back, I already wrote that I tried wiping both data and cache before and after flashing Cyanogen mod. This "mounting" problem only came up with the new CWM recovery, 5.2.0.8.
The basic Google Apps were all there, since I used a rom from sammobile.com, downloaded programs like poweramp were the ones that did not work.

Yes, I guess I will stay with the stock :/ Though I'll try again when a new CWM recovery and a new Cyanogen mod come out.
Hi,
I would like to begin by thanking all the CM 10 developing team for their fabulous work!
Also, I'm sorry if this is a repost or posting in the wrong area. I searched allover but no one has had this issue on this device. I finally had to make a account as this is my first problem that's why I could not post in the development question.
I recently got the HTC Vivid. I did everything required to install Cyanogenmod mod, i.e. install rom, (I'm S-On) fastboot boot.img, etc...
After I had the phone setup and apps installed, I rebooted the phone. The phone stuck on the Cyanogenmod logo. I knew there was a problem after it did this twice. So, I booted into recovery to reinstall the rom after a full wipe. When selecting "choose zip from internal sd card", it gave "cannot mount internal emmc". I knew I had to start from the beginning as this is a soft brick. So, I relocked the bootloader, reverted to stock, then did everything again.
Again it did the same thing but this time it mounted the internal emmc but it would not boot past the logo.
I tried looking allover, even in other device forums, I did not find anything. PLEASE HELP!
JUST FYI, I AM NOT A DEVELOPER AND ALSO NOT A NOOB! I have rooted all the devices I have owned and I know what I'm doing for the most part. This is the first problem I have ever encountered!
Thanks
mubby93

i tried it many times, no use.... im pretty sure, that this cwm (6.0.2.8 and 6.0.3.2) are buggy
CWM
Factory reset wipe
Mount and format system
Format sdcard
Mount system again
Wipe dalvik cache
Flash ROM
Flash gapps
The problem isn't cwm(flash it again and see)
I only had a problem upgrading to 6.0.3.2
The only differences I've seen are the cwm startup and background and it takes about 1 or 2 secs longer to format system but it works flawlessly nonetheless...

Did you try loading the Motorola USB drivers? Not sure if that would help.
I immediately rooted, unlocked the bootloader, and flashed CWM 6.0.2.8 as soon as I got my new AHD and haven't had any problems with CWM in terms of flashing various roms, backing up roms, and restoring roms.
BTW, I have looked around and I could not find a method to re-lock the bootloader. How did you try to re-lock?
You can't re lock it.

I don't know what the touchpad toolkit is - I had to use a script called ACMEInstaller3. You need to download that, the bootloader program called moboot (v0.3.8 is the latest i think), and also the recovery you want to install. Once you run ACMEinstaller, it will make the partitions and install the recovery. Then use the recovery to install whatever rom / gapps you want. I'd google acmeinstaller3 and you should find all kinds of info.
The TouchPad toolkit has cminstall 4 files + acme installer 3 as well I have tried it quite a few times and when run it says nothing to install as it already exists it's just that I can't get it to dual boot as before it's only giving me webos. If you look up touchpad toolkit you'll see what folders etc are in it. It worked for me last time ok
