i like the look of the 32 tablet, as i was tempted to get an ipod touch at one point but if i can get this instead i defs will
These are all actually pretty decent tablets, I've been watching them closely on youtube. The Resistive screens for the 43,32,28 are quite responsive.
Resistive example clip:
The 101 is guns blazing awesome:
I would love to see a project picked up for these. The hardware is pretty nice, OMAP 3360 chipset, ARM Cortex A8 1ghz (everything above modules 32,28)
The 32,28 have an 800-mhz processor.

archos have done really well to bring these well priced tablets to the world!
i clap my hands to them!
I want a proper tablet dammit.
I want a 10.1" 1.5ghz running Android/Chrome OS.
Thats really not too much to ask is it? 7" is just too small for a tablet. And 1Ghz just is going to be outdated by Christmas.
I'm liking the view sonic viewpad 10 to be honest. the dual boot part is a greta option considering I want to replace my laptop! (and having android on it will also be good )

I'm definitely watching for these, but my biggest concern since getting my TM2 is touch points.
Someone mentioned the Viewsonic Viewpad 10 dual boot. On Kmart.com/Sears.com for $399.99
I am waiting on the Archos 70. Played with the 7 home tablet at Best Buy and the Velocity Cruz. Cruz felt and reacted well.
My MacBook finally met it's tragic end, so it's time to get myself a new laptop. I likely won't be getting another Mac, as a lot of the software I'm using in my classes has me run Windows 7 anyways, not to mention I'd like to not spend $1500. Ideally:
* Build quality. My biggest factor. If the build quality sucks, than I will not buy it.
* Build. Another big factor. I'd like it to have similar height dimensions to my MacBook, so around 1.02 inches tall.
* Good screen, good resolution. Another fairly big factor. It doesn't have to have the BEST screen, but a decent resolution would be great.
* Snappy processor. Speaks for itself.
* Price: $800 is my upper limit.
Thanks guys
Congrats for leaving the forbidden fruit and coming to the7 windows
I have 4 laptops from HP ranging in size from 14-17 inches. All dv series. All have been very good performers and the most I paid for one was 750.00 for the 17in screen.
Intel dualcore processors, 4gb ram, 500gb hard drive, blue ray player.
Hp laptops are garbage , made of the cheapest plastic to be found , and the cool factor is also in the negatives , op needs a Sony and he knows it well , decide whats series ud like and buy it from ebay for better price

toshiba sucks! build quality is terrible!
On my experience all the contrary, only good experiences with Tosh so I´m loyal to that brand
I have had HP, Dell, Toshiba. HP flat out sucked. It just seemed like an all around horrible buy. Dell is great for work computers and that is it. (IMO)
I currently have a couple different Toshiba's. (Laptops & netbooks) My very first expierence with a Toshiba laptop was when I went overseas for the first time. I bought what at the time was a middle to upper end in store laptop. That laptop made it through extreme heat, sand, etc. It took a flat out beating and still to this day works great. Granted its some years old so it's no longer on the top end but for what it is, and how it still works- WOW.
My personal opinion would be Toshiba but this is because of my expierence. Everyone will have something different to say and I'm sure there is probably different arguements where it comes to the actual hardware.
Good luck!

Quad core Phenom II 1.6ghz per core(don't let the clocked rate fool you though, it's pretty speedy for a mobile platform)
4gb of ddr3 1066
ATI Radeon HD 5730 1gb ddr3
500gb sataII(Not sure if it's 5400 rpm, or 7200 rpm)
6-cell lithium Ion battery.

Been using XDA for a while now for my GNex and GTab10.1, but I've got a PC question for you guys. I'm looking to build my own PC, and have done as much research as I could to make sure I'm picking the proper, quality parts. I just want to run my build past you guys to see if anyone has any suggestions, or if I'm spending too much money on a certain component, etc. Also I want to double-check that everything is compatible (Can I use those 2 monitors with my GPU? Do I need a miniDP-to-DVI adapter or can I run one from my MOBO? Will everything fit well in my case?) I'll be using the computer to multitask with different types of software, along with some gaming.

I wouldn't recommend Crucial M4 SSD ( at least for now ) since it's having random freezing issue and it's taking forever for them to release a new firmware update.

thats pretty hardcore hardware right there
If you go with and AMD cpu it will save you money, I have a 3.2GHz dual core (i believe) and it's a good one. mind you I think the total for my computer came out to almost $900.
and I think for the HDD western digital is usually cheaper and it's really all the same. I have western digital and I'm most likely gonna buy a green HDD 1TB; I saw one for about $90 which I think is a pretty decent price. I've seen those seagate barracuda ones going for about $10-20 more
Personally I LOVE the Kingston HyperX SSD's. I have one in my desktop and I have never had a single problem with it. I tried both Intel and OCZ SSDs and they both failed on me.

I've been using my OCZ for a few months now with no problems... Running my systems and as many games as I can fit off of it and it's been great. One note to make about SSD's (in case you don't know, if you do, hopefully I'll help someone out) but you never want to defragment because this adds unnecessary writes (which kills the drive) and you'll gain no performance. Right after I installed windows, i had 25% fragmentation.
As far as your build it looks solid. No matter what you get, you'll hunger for more haha. Make sure to get something crossfire capable so you can crossfire your Radeon if you want to expand the video life of your PC. You may want to look at upgrading your power supply to at least a 750 if you ever plan on running another video card.
I just built a new rig a few months ago and I used Asus's sabertooth 990 series since I went AMD Bulldozer ^_^. 16gb of G. Skill ram DDR3 1866, an Nvidia 550Ti and a 120GB OCZ SSD. So far there has been nothing I've thrown at this PC that it couldn't handle. Skyrim, Deus Ex, SWTOR and Diablo 3 all play at full settings all AA turned on.
What are you paying for that setup if you don't mind me asking?

Thanks for all the tips guys. That GPU only has one DVI out on it, and my monitors only have DVI in... Will I have any problems if I run one monitor through the DVI port and one through a MiniDP-to-DVI adapter?
As far as memory goes, I'm just going to start with 2 DIMMs and buy 2 more sticks if I feel like I need it. The programs that I'd like to run to multitask include Ableton, Photoshop, a couple medium-high end games (at max settings, of course ) a stock-trading platform, an internet browser with several tabs (though Chrome hardly sips any memory anyway) with MS Office stuff. I really want to take advantage of dual monitors!

No problem, glad I could help
I recently shelled out around 12 or 13 hundred for my setup, but didn't get anything for storage besides my SSD since i had 750gb worth of storage that I migrated over from my old machine. I'm an AMD man myself, and I'm loving the UEFI bios on my ASUS Sabertooth 990FX. The software that ASUS includes with the board allows you to monitor Also, you can't beat 8 cores I was able to overclock using the stock board settings to 3.9GHz on my 8120 FX proc. Its only 159.99 on newegg right now and all FX series are black edition proc's which means complete control over your proc settings. I'm using a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo for my CPU cooler. Its pretty big, so if you look into this cooler make sure your case has room for it, but im running a steady 34C and haven't seen it go above 40. Some people report as cool as 18c.
As far as your Video card, there are tons of cards out there with multi DVI support, you may want to look at another manufacturer, as I don't see you getting true video performance out of a usb adapter. Although I've never used one, I suspect it will be a huge bottleneck.
Here are a few images of the AI Suite included with the Sabertooth 990FX (used splashtop to grab them since im at work hehe)
So i looked around
people say i5 is better because its cheaper
but in my case i7 2nd gen is cheaper than i5 3rd gen
so should i buy it?
also i7 has a vidia Geforce GT 525M graphics card included
i5 only has the regular intel graphics
I am talking about laptops
OK, so the i5 is going to be cheaper to start off. Newer so more efficient and better on battery. Depending on whether it is an ivy bridge or sandy bridge would make a difference too.
The i7 is going to be more powerful, but also hog the battery slightly more.
The i5 might not be too bad depending on how high you can clock it.
Personally I would go for the nVidia graphics card over a standard Intel, but depending on what you are doing with it, you may not need the processing power.
I wouldn't know what to choose really... any more specs? And what are you going to be doing with it?

Thank you so much for the reply
so let me explain my situation a bit more
you said an i5 would be cheaper
but in my case it WILL NOT be cheaper instead it will be more expensive
another thing for my to consider is that i5 3rd is hp envy
while i7 2nd gen is dell inspirion but on the plus side its $50 cheaper and it has the nvidia graphic card already included in the price.
The main thing will be casual gaming, web browsing, school work
but then again these can be statisfied with a i3 so im really trying to get a laptop which will last me a long time and can do whatever i throw at it.
also the rest of the specs are the same

thank you for your advice
the build quality of hp is far superior
so that is a major plus on their end
I will definitely use your advice
I would say that both are sufficient for what you want to do. Even if the i7 is cheaper, like above, go with what you like better and how the build is. Both should last you for a while, but not if you get something that feels flimsy. This isn't exactly something you want to spend your money on and still have to worry.
Overall, both are fairly nice laptops spec wise, so I would really just go for what appeals to you most
