I tried to apply whiskybro's JM9 version of Dena's Galassia Theme(sorry if not spelled right) onto my i9000. After copying all the files over, and replacing the existing framework and settings files, I had the theme working, but I could no longer add widgets or wallpapers without the launcher (both Tw and LP) force closing. Also, my settings application seems to have disappeared. It seems obvious that there is a problem with the settings.apk I put, but I can't figure out what to do? Do I have to reflash my phone to get the original files back or can I download the 3 files from somewhere?
Thanks!
My settings disappeared to while using [ROM][S.U.R.F.A.C.E. 3.2] ♣ JVR ♣ Sam's Ultra-lite ROM Fast And Completely Expandable. did you happen to find a solution?
Same here
I'm also running [ROM][S.U.R.F.A.C.E. 3.2] ♣ JVR ♣ and have just had the same problem after updating from one version of Galaxian Kernel to another using SGS Kernel flasher (I have done many updates before without any problems).
The phone seems fine except when you press Menu key --> Settings nothing happens.
Did you find a solution?
Thanks
Jez
Hey, I was just wondering if any of you had problems installing Jbed on your Minis. Mine doesn't seem to work, and I could really use some help.
I already tried google-ing and it turned up a tutorial(place libjbedvm.so in /system/lib and Jbed.apk in /system/app), but when I run Java it just force closes.
I also tried the flashable version from mohammadN but it does the same as above.
BTW, I'm running tj-style's overclocked CM7, if that would change anything.
hey the Jbed app doesn't seems a system app just try user app its work for me... move it into data/data/app.... or use titanium backup(edit : i using cm7 music by crazy_k_p and squadzone's OC
Thanks, but I already tried it as a non-system app. I'm still going to try it again though
I hate the stock music for CM9 ICS, so I want to replace it with my old SGS music player.
I have the APK, and I've tried replacing the music.apk file in the system/app folder. It deleted the current music app, but it didn't replace it.
I tried installing it, but it gave me a "Application not installed" error.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Replace music.apk in system/app (dont instal) the file music.apk must be rw--r--r--
and reboot
Thank you for the reply. I tried that with root explorer but no dice, still isn't installed. Is there any way to install it via cwm?

I'm pretty sure the Samsung music player uses the TouchWiz framework and has no chance of working on a non Samsung ROM.
I flashed my galaxy note with the rocket rom ,but the music player app is not working. I can open the app and browse through my music collection but when i sellect a song to play it hangs and says music player has stooped working. I have tried re-flashing the rom 3 times and formating my sd card and internal memory before flashing but still wont work. How can i delete the music player and install a fresh one? How can i generally fix it? Thanks.
Try going to apps and clear data and try again
it can be removed by going in to system/apps and check for the music player app and replace it with another
Here you can find all the fixes for rocketrom

Download the music player from the above link and paste in the /system/app and set the permissions to rw-r--r--
I'm running this ROM which is based on AOSP 4.0.4. I know that AOSP doesn't include, by default the toggles on the status bar, but I would like to know if there's a way to get them anyway without installing an app (need to save memory)?
The apps that install the toggles are not heavy at all..you can install it without use much memory, otherwise for add the toggles without install any app you need to modify systemui.apk...if you don't know well how to do, it's quite difficult
Thanks you. Since you talked about modifying SystemUI.apk, I think I'm going to try using the SystemUI.apk file from another AOSP ICS Rom which include these toggles. I'll make a backup in ClockworkMod before, in case it doesn't work. I tried to use Notifications toggles from the Play Store but it doesn't work.
I tried to flash a zip, in order to replace systemui.apk, but it didn't work, it led to systemui.apk force-closing itself after booting the phone. I had to restore my previous config from ClockworkMod recovery. Then I tried Power Toggles from the Play Store, no force close this time, but after rebooting, I still didn't have any toggles on the status bar. Can anyone tell me a good app from the Play Store which will work on Android 4.0.4 AOSP?
I succesfully decompiled (using apktool) my current working systemui.apk from my oldDroid AOSP rom. Now, what do I need to add to the source code to get the toggles?
