I hope it's OK to ask a question here ...
What is a good program/tool to use to change the color of multiple .png files all at once? I am trying to convert a blue theme to a different color and have tried FastStone Image Viewer with some success but it will still require modifying a lot of files one at a time. For instance it changed the entire stat_sys_wifi_signal_2_fully.png to the new color even though only the bottom half should convert. When previewing the new images it also looks like the transparent background was replaced with a white background and when I opened the image in gimp the background was indeed white instead of transparent.
I know I could change the color with gimp but I'd have to do them one at a time which would take a lot longer than I'd like to spend on this theme. Thanks for any help.

I installed Facade and chose a green theme.
Anyone knows if it is possible (and how) to change the background color of HTC apps (comm manager, for example), so that they better integrate in the new theme?
Or my question how to just change them completely?!
The connection manager has a bunch of .png files in the \windows directory on the device. These should be hackable with a graphics program and be displayed after the device is reset.
To customize the rest of your normal (non-HTC) WM programs, see http://www.modaco.com/content/Smartphone-General-Discussion/236832/Homescreen-guide-for-beginners/
Most of the styles are saved in XML files which you can edit with web page writing tools. As such you should be able to see the path's to the graphical files and then just change their color.
Would think so, havnt looked yet but I am planning on changing my home screen to a nice blue. I like the HTC look, but a soft blue would be better than grey IMO.
Well, at last it seems it was rather simple changing the colors of my Facade theme: I've converted it from green to grey editing the xml file and modifying a few gifs with Gimp.
So it's all grey now, and HTC apps are again integrated with the overall style.
Thanks.
post us ur theme. would be cool
Here it is.
But it's no other than the original facade style, with changed colors and a cool (I think) background...
(I didn't change the profile gifs cause I don't use this plugin)
Hello i need help with a .gif file i want to change the color of.
i have opened it with adobe image ready and changed the hue on all the layers to the color i want but it only lets me save it as a .psd file and not a .gif so i re-opened it with photoshop and tried to save it as a .gif but it only saves the single layer thats displayed,i wanted to change the color to match the blue of the manillia 2d background.
If any one can help me with this i would be most grateful...Oh yeah the reason im doing this is because it makes a great s2u2 wallpaper with the top curtain disabled and the gif animation se to 10.
Hi all,
This program is called "Knob Man"
http://www.g200kg.com/en/software/knobman.html
It is originally created for making animations for synthesizer knobs used in environments such as syntedit and synthmaker.
It can be very handy for creating complex animations with 100+ frames, for battery charge frames for example.
It also has various Color -> Color or rotating masks etc so the first frame can be green and gradually reaches red (empty battery).
The only downside is that the frames are saved as a .png strip which will then have to be divided by hand, or with some other software.
Alll the best

just found this thread, as i had to see if someone had mentioned Knobman here on xda before, and there was
well, for the export image function, it can easily be exported as individual png files, instead of the long all-in-one png file.. just watch my small tutorial
best viewed at 720p and fullscreen..

Im trying to resize a set of icons in photoshop.
They are circular, transparent background PNG files.
As is, they are clear & smooth.
Upon import they are automatically distorted, beyond belief.
At this point there has been no editing, i have simply opened the file in photoshop.
Im not sure if its relevant but they are opening as index, locked.
Its not a universal issue, other images open fine.
Any suggestions would be welcome.
Also any other advice on what im trying to accomplish;
- resize canvas up (to enlarge transparent background)
- resize image down to original size (to give the effect of a smaller icon)
Im aiming to batch convert a group, ive already defined the actions in photoshop so if i can get around the issue within photoshop that would be my first preference.
Cheers.
Let's say I have a theme I really love except that the background for apps/widgets is plain black and I want background to be the same as the home screen wallpaper. Given that there is no setting for this, I assume I will need to learn how to open theme, replace plain background png files with appropriately named wallpaper png files and reassemble theme. Yes?
I unzipped the apk and found numerous wallpaper variations (resolutions and sizes) for home screen, messaging and so on, but not for app/widget backgrounds. Where in res folders would they be and what might they be called? Or are there none if background is black and I would have to either make them or edit xml to call appropriate wallpaper file?
I've searched and read but this particular task is not described...or at least I can't find it. Any info to get me started would be very nice.
