Screen wont wake after call on any Gingerbread

Hello.
Im having the weirdest problem and i am going insane.
In Gingerbread roms, stock or custom (darky rc3,rc4,CriskeloRom) when i try to make a call or when i receive a call, the screen turns immediately black and never ever wakes up.
No button works, nore do they lit,nothing...
I have to pull out the battery and restart.
Some times when i plug the cable in kies mode, its ok,it comes back the screen but thats seldom.
I tried to keep the screen on,nothing...
This happens only in gingerbread,if i return to froyo, everything is ok.
PLEASE HELP ME
Wait for official Gingerbread .
jje
You could try installing the official (NEE) Gingerbread.
Or flash back to 2.2 and forward from there.
thanx guys but did that too...
i installed official ginger xee and the same thing...in froyo everything works ok.
insane!!!!
Sucks to hear Hope it will be ok when the official Gingerbread gets released for your country. Allthough that probably wont work either.
ps. how do you update from Froyo to Gingerbread? Odin? Maybe try updating from Froyo with KIES using the registry spoofing tool and then installing NEE.

No such issues for me, had stock JVK now on stock JVB. Remove any lag fixes and do a factory reset + Format SD card and try.

[Q] Stuck in sleep mode

Hi All,
I've been searching threads but haven't found anything much on this. I have recently upgraded my captivate to the stock Rogers 2.3.3 firmware. I've been on it for two days and so far once each day I try to wake my phone up from sleep with the power button and nothing happens. Only way to wake is to pull battery and put back. Second time it happened I called my phone and it rang but screen was just black.
Has anyone come across this? Is it this stock rom or hardware issue? It's only happened since upgrading to 2.3.3. I was on stock 2.1, 2.2 and Serendipity 7 and never had this happen before.
Any help or feedback is appreciated.
Also, I re-flashed stock 2.3.3 again this morning and it happened again.
Did you try a Wipe Data/Factory Reset ??
yes, I did both before flashing again and just this afternoon I picked up my phone and tried to wake up but no go. had to battery pull to wake it up.
?? It may be a hardware issue. I guess if you flash back to Froyo you would know for sure if it was a hardware or 2.3.3 issue...
Thats true, if it happens again I may flash back and test. Thanks

[Q] Soft keys don't work?!

Hello, i have my Note rooted, and installed framework for circle battery.
I have baseband XXKJ4 android 2.3.5, besides that everything is stock !
At first everything was working great, no problems whatsoever but now from time to time my soft keys freeze and i must reboot device to get them working again.
So what could be the problem? Should i unroot it and take it back to get it repaired or is that normal? How should i fix it?
Tnx for advice !

It could be the framework changes you did with the battery.
Flash a stock ROM back on it, see if that solves your problem.
Im facing same problem.. Today was the second time the soft keys wuldnt work since i bought the note 1 week ago..after i ended a phone call it took me back to the call logs so i pressed the return soft key but it wuldnt take me back to home screen!! That's a known issue on 2.3.5
On a number of occasions it happens after a call.
Just switch to the latest stock in the 2.3.6 series and all should be OK.

He means: Just update your phone from Android 2.3.5 to 2.3.6
The forum has several threads about updating and rooting
OK, I have figured out that 2.3.6 is the android version. But my phone is already onto that version installed, so I can't upgrade to it to fix the problem....
Any other ideas?

WiFi problem

I was recently given a Galaxy Ace as I bricked my LG P920! When I connect it to my home Wifi, it works when for a few mins then puts the phone into a reboot loop and only stops when I disconnect the wifi. The phone seems to work fine at all other times including when on 3G. It's not the wifi as it works fine on the wife's HTC Incredible S. Phone has not been rooted. Does anyone have this issue or know how to resolve?
Thanks
I suggest rebooting into cwn and clear cache and then try again.

No luck with that, problem keeps re-occurring.
Flash Stock
Try Flashing Stock firmware with odin!
I guess you have stock.
There is a random wifi problem in stock which sometimes reboots the phone because the wifi driver breaks.
So try CyanogenMod and there wont be any problems!
Dont worry about rooting.
You wont brick your phone.
Only way to completely brick an Ace is to use Rom manager. So just dont use it!

Check for a software update on your phone. IT fixed The problem for me.
If that doesnt help set your wifi connection up with a static(?) Ip adres on your phone. Worked for me as well.
Sorry for my english
Good luck!

What version of android is installed? Best way to do an Official update is via Kies. If you get the same issue with kies as I have (Crashes on startup) use Odin or install a custom rom via CWM.
Also try changing the WiFi channel via your routers settings. (you never know, might work)

[Q] I turn WIFI on and it immediately turns off

Having a problem where when I turn my WIFI on it immediately turns off.
Has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution for this?
I cannot say how it happened but I can say it's been doing this ever since I flashed the stock rom - MB886_att-user-4.1.1-9.8.0Q-97_MB886_FFW-20-27-release-keys-ATT-US_BuildA.xml.zip
The first time it was fine but I had to flash it again after another failed boot loop in a custom rom and now it's not working at all.
Roms I have tried: Holo Blur and Carbon
I even restore my original ROM which was stock but I had been using for the last year and the WIFI still is doing the same thing. WEIRD!? X;
Is that good enough info or should I give more?
