Hi,
I'm trying to install 2.3.6 stock rom in my Galaxy S Plus but Odin always gives me same error.
This is Odin info message trace:
Download Start...

<1> e - unknown file - ""
<1> set download environment.
<1> reset pda..
<0> Started Timer
<1> Close serial port and wait until rebooting.
In a few seconds since process start Odin says e - unkown file - "adsp.mbn" error and device restarts with no changes.
I've tested with these three roms and no luck:
- I9001XXKQ7_I9001DBTKP2_I9001XXKPK_HOME.tar.md5
- I9001XXKQ1_I9001XXKPI_I9001DBTKP1_HOME.tar.md5
- I9001XXKPU_I9001XXKPH_I9001DBTKP1_HOME.tar.md5
I'm from Spain and my device has Orange 2.3.4 firmware.
I don't know if this could be important
Any idea?
Is there any pre-requisite to flash a stock rom, like phone must be rooted or something?
Thanks for your help.
Regards
Try to re-download odin 4.43, AriesVe.ops, ROM (least probable as you tried a few roms already).
Check step-by-step that you're following guide from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_Plus/GT-I9001#Flashing

No, you just have to get the phone into download mode.
Thanks a lot bro!
Now i successfully updated my phone.
I think i was using an incorrect *.ops file.

Juan

c) Try another USB port
d) Untick Protect OPS from Odin
e) Use an older version of Odin
f) Kies, LOL
Which never worked...

Your phone issent bricked,i had the same issue.
What worked for me is installing the Broodrom.
Here is the link : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1396837
Everything you need is posted by Broodplank in his first post.
Once you installed it, you can go back to any rom you would like, altough de Broodrom is a very good rom!!
If you have cwm installed, try to format your partitions first?
Hope this will help you in some way,
How can I flash BroodROM if I couldn't go to CWM at all, I don't see if there is odin flashable package...

Look better, BroodRom can be installed with Odin.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/broodrom/files/broodROM_RC5.rar/download
Follow the instructions in Cybertek's post.
I hope I was useful.

Hello,

I downloaded the Odin Multi_Downloader_v4.43_with_smd0425 + I9001_AriesVE.ops
I put I9001 to download mode, close all Kies proceses and setup Odin: [x]one package [x]auto reboot [x]protect ops [x]reset time 300
And now It's stuck on setup connection ... I gived up after 30 min ...
Code:
Download Start...
<0> Create File...
<1> StartThread Detected : 1
<2> StartThread Detected : 0
<3> StartThread Detected : 0
<4> StartThread Detected : 0
<5> StartThread Detected : 0
<6> StartThread Detected : 0
<7> StartThread Detected : 0
<8> StartThread Detected : 0
<1> setup connection...
What I do wrong?
Now the pfone boot to 'phone and computer with an explanation mark triangle inbetween symbol'.
Can someone help me to solve this issue?
Okay its not a problem its more of a bug.
What you need to do:
- Remove phone (YOU'LL SEE FAIL!! DO NOT FREAK OUT!)
- Close odin
- Open odin (as admin for 7 and vista) and add files
- Remove battery for 30 sec and reboot in download. Also remove sim and sdcard
- Connect phone. Use original cable and plug it directly on the motherboard of your pc
- Start
When it gets stuck again.. Just try agian, or flash broodrom and then stock. It repaired my phone some weeks ago
Thank you
First try [with stock rom]:
Code:
Download Start...

<1> big partition size!!
<1> amss.mbn download..
<1> e - usb is disconnected!!
<1> thread will be terminated.
<0> Destroy instant..

Second time [Broodrom]:
Yes this works! I'm so happy that my BF phone is working again :highfive:
Many thanks Mrjraider! :victory:

Try using another cooper.ops file.
Maybe the one from your last ROM.
