i gone through that post but I'm not rooted. is their any app to do that without root?

There is an app called "Sensor Camera" that will allow you to turn the shutter sound off amongst other useful things like using the volume key as the shutter as opposed to the touch screen.
It has been a little buggy for me though, so I would like to hear other non-root suggestions as well.

So since the update the stock camera (for me at least) has been much better. I used to use Camera Zoom FX but i deleted it and use the stock since it's easier to switch between camcorder/still shots and i can actually mute the shutter sound.
But as I was playing with it I randomly noticed that you have to use 6MP to get a full screen shot, vs. with 8MP it's kind of centered in the screen. I also noticed in another thread someone mentioned using the 'ok' button on the keyboard could help force the camera to focus vs. waiting for its slow zoom in/out routine. This kind of sparked my interest to what settings does everyone use to get the best pics? Do you still use 3rd Party Apps? Any tips/tricks you use? It's my main camera since i don't own a separate digital camera so any input is welcome
....you can zoom in and out with the volume control buttons.
hmm nobody?

Simple setting.
Open the browser and click the menu touch button and go to brightness. now disable the auto brightness option.

Thanks for reply but why do I need to disable auto brightness I never had to in gingerbread or ICS...its not a big issue just wondering why it does this..

In ICS as well browser and video player has its on brightness settings.. So disable individual auto brightness to make it dim and light up as the other screens
My stock ics has its own video and browser brightness and its auto brightness. So even when i am on auto disabled mode like in the dark room. Its sometimes annoying.

I did a brief search but didn't find anything useful. Is there a way to turn off the shutter sound when taking a screenshot?

I read somewhere...Sprint required that the camera sound not be able to be turned off (i dont know if that is true with the screen capture too )...

Turning off your ringtone volume is the only way I can think of (on a stock phone at least.)

You can turn off the shutter sound for the camera on a stock sprint phone... it's in the camera's settings menu. not the screenshot sound though
Can somebody make an xposed module or maybe a hole new camera app where we will be able to set the ISO in camera manually??
Sent from my C6603 using xda app-developers app
The ISO settings can be modified via the camera app itself.
just change your mode from superior auto to manual and you will be able to adjust ISO and other settings
I meant in the third paty apps.. Sorry cause i forgot to mention it and thank you
After reading some of the reviews, this phone is supposed to have some kind of face detection mode for taking pictures of yourself. When the rear camera detects your face, the power button is supposed to flash green so you know to take the pic. I can't seem to get that feature to work. Also you are supposed to be able to use the volume button as a shutter button as well but it also doesn't work for me. All it does is zoom in and out when I'm in the camera app.
Go to camera, then settings, then focus, and select auto detect

Worked. Thanks!
Welcome, also change the volume key from zoom to capture. That's also done in settings
