anyone tried this phone? is this a good phone? im planning to buy a cheap extra phone and i saw this... it looks really good because it looks like an iphone 4s, i just dont know how is the performance and quality of this phone... any feedback guys? thanks in advance...
It's CPU is a 650mHz cpu, so don't expect miracles, even if it have 512MB RAM. It's a fake (chinese?) Iphone, so it will have a lot ot flaws. I rather suggest you to NOT buy a this phone.

Might want to have a look at this one instead.. Newer processor working at 1GHz.
http://android-sale.com/goophone-y5-retina-screen-1ghz-mt6575-processor-smartphone.html
It has been lowered in price from around $250 to now $210 - so it is just $10 higher than the one you have looked at..
And the Goophone Y5 is supported at my best at my site at

I don't care about the dual-core. I am talking about more powerful GPU.

hopefully they push out higher rez screens along with that GPU
but back on topic, it really worth 3 bucks?....they really should let the dev choose the return window

hmmm im on the edge, im all for paying money for games when its due but iono, for a game im unsure if ill like or play, hard to judge
On a whim, I purchased the game. Pretty solid game with some moderate camera quirks. Soundtrack is nice and I experienced no lag. For $3, I say it's a deal.
I want to get it but idk
One thing I really liked about Windows Phone 7 games, it requires a free demo version in order to be an "Xbox Live" title. Android should have the same requirements if it wants to compete with WP7's gaming prowess, which imo, is the best mobile gaming you can get.
Does any1 know how good the game performs on a HTC desire ?

is $2.99 the regular price, or was it higher?
seems like a good quality game to keep in the phone... but wasting 700 MB on this, and not having an External microSD is a big decision to make

Finally an unreal engine 3 game on android ...downloading now
I have been playing it for a while and I have to say it is one of the best games on android.
very good game and well worth $3. Playing on NS and the only problem I have is some of the screens seem to not fit properly. Almost like the resolution of the screen isn't high enough to support all the menus in their native size.
Dual core processors are going to be more for efficiency than power. Better battery management and faster processing will in theory reduce battery consumption. None the less, you can count on me buying one
Any mid range phone that has multi touch a better processor and a biggerscreen? Any phone better than X8 and has a price between 300$ not more than that. Help guys need your opinion. Im planning on Galaxy Ace. Is a go or no go?
Hmm maybe you should look for reviews about your target phone to buy. I suggest you post this in xda general area for you to have a satisfying comments comes from the different phone user, coz most people here are all using x8 so we cannot compare.

wait for xperia minipro.1ghz cpu with multitouch
I'd not suggest Galaxy Ace if you have x8.
Because if you overclock and use custom rom on your x8,
the specification is almost the same.
We have multitouch modules, also you'll have real multitouch if you are the lucky one to have Cypress touchpad.
My friend is using Galaxy Ace,he benchmarked his phone, and it's about ~700 point.
Our custom rom can reach ~800-900.
So,I think you can wait for xperia minipro or buy a higher level phone.
Edit:Mid-range's phones are usually use Qualcomm's MSM7x27 series processer,so it's hard to find a mid-range phone with better processer.
if i were you i would increase the budget and get a nice htc, search through the threads and see which phone is getting the most attention from devs, at least then you will always have something new on your device.
My brother is gonna buy a Nexus S ^_^ I am f***** jealous.A month ago, it cost 800$ but now it costs 450$. If you have a higher budget,I think you should byu that sssssooooo good and nice smartphone

I'm looking for good performance, for a little bit less.

It depends. What do you plan on using this rig for?

Currently i7 rules but bulldozer and ivy-bridge may change that
Also it'll depend on ur budget and what you plan using the rig for

Well if i7 is out of your budget an AMD Phenom II x6 is real cheap right now with bulldozer around the corner (This is what I currently have).
I honestly would wait for bulldozer so you aren't feeling buyers remorse once it comes out. I highly doubt you will be able to afford ivy bridge if you can't afford i7. Intel is soo pricey.
if ur budget is less than 500$ than amd if more than that move to intel..

Have a first generation core I5 processor coupled to am Asus motherboard !! Overclocked from stock 2.8 ghz to 3.5 ghz with just the right air cooling products and a good processor fan and heat sink combo !
Tapashocked via my gt-I9003 with a random keyboard of my choice !
Amd. Will not buy intel.
-My life is a shooting range, people never change-
had you asked this question 2-3 years ago I would have said Amd hands down. On-die memory controller used to make all the difference. Now that Intel has on-die memory controllers with their core i3/5/7 line, Amd is definitely lagging behind in performance. I'd still recomend a black edition phenom II x4 or x6 for someone who loves to tweak and game out, but if you've got the cash, Intel sure seems to be the ring leader lately.
I had a 9550 BE phenom I, in a nice desktop system, ran it at 3ghz stable, was a fast box. Was given an hp dv6-3050ca which has an i5 in it, with the fancy on die memory controller and video acceleration. Wow was I EVER impressed at the progress intel has made, I even managed to run fallout new vegas at 15-20fps on low settings on this thing. We're talking intel graphics here, integrated. They've made leaps and bounds in the past few years. I currently have a Core i7 720qm sitting in a asus g73jh; I'd say it has a bit of a low clock speed with all 4 cores engaged, but with 8 threads, what's the difference. Takes a Phenom II x6 to match the same level of performance. Though either can be had new for about the same price.
Intel i7's are pricey as all hell, and unless you've got cash to dump and are looking for extreme performance, you'll probably be more than happy with an Amd. If you're looking to game matching up a nice Amd/Ati motherboard with an Ati video card, really does wonders in terms of compatibility, I've built a few myself and they were painless builds. Intels tend to be more efficient, expecially in the mobile arena. There's something sexy about a 140W cpu though, and that's where the phenom II line shines, they chew up power like nazi's chew up amphetamines, and they chew through like raped apes.
All in all amd is a good start/middleroad for the money, but for true high end power, or mobile efficiency stick to intel. I've noticed a trend across all cpu manufacturers, the more on die cache, the better. 2mb extra cache is worth more than 600mhz, imho.

I think the biggest problem of AMD is compatibility. Usually They don't work truely in some Linux Distros.
Pure preference. What's your budget?
Hmmm, sounds like i5 it is. Thanks guys!

around 11,000 rupees(approx 185$) i visited sony showroom and they said i can get a new only if someone have it in their stock. but i dont think buying it brand new after the productoin has been long stopped is a good idea. specs wise the phone seems promising. a little modification in the os will turn the beast out of it.
