Ok so my phone is playing up abit. When i put the charger in it disconnects and connects constantly. Its fine if you dont touch the phone but as soon as you touch the screen it starts disconnecting again. I put this down to a faulty charger dock and ordered the part so i can fit it. However after fitting the new dock the problem still persists. Ive changed wires, plugs, charger flex and charger port. What could this possibly be?

That link is in french, can you explain a little bit what it says. I have same problem as OP but I bought 4 different USB Flex replacemments and they all dont work. No sound from speaker except for a little popping sound. I think something in the link talked about the back of them being grounded or glued, can you explain it a little please?

using both original charger.. 1 from IS itself.. another from sensation se.. same issue
Then may be ur micro usb port problem.. Reach service center..

First issue is because of battery symbol loading animation. In Cm10/9 you can change to a battery symbol without animation

Well my cable crapped out on me and I can't seem to find another one. I looked on amazon but only found knockoffs which usually die quickly as well

Currently both my cables charge slowly than they should and the rate jumps around alot.

Why not send it back to sammy for replacement? I swear some of you guys go round robins barn looking for replacement this or that when all you gotta do is send it back to sammy. Even if you bought it second hand, I'm sure they will replace the cable. I've taken my phones into other carriers and had them replace trivial stuff... Like dead cables.

I just buy a bunch of cables from monoprice. They're cheap and I haven't seen any difference compared to the original samsung cable. Since all the phones in the house are android phones, it's easy to just buy micro usb cables in bulk.
Why buy anything if you don't have to? I could have that cable and wall charger replaced with a 5 minute phone call. That's my philosophy anyhow.

I called verizon they won't replace with anything but a 1amp charger and want my.OEM one back which was a no go. And I never knew you could call Samsung. Also as far as going to the carrier last time this happened to me they replaced it with a 1 foot generic cable that didn't even work my store sucks. Will be calling Sammy today though thanks everyone

For what it was worth I just ordered mono price premium cables since that was all o needed anyway. Samsung wanted my whole charger and its a two week turnaround I don't have a spare charger to use.

any cheapo USB-microUSB will work to charge the phone. I use the one that came it it a lot, but I have extra cheapo in the car, in a bag I take to work, another in my backpack for school, a few more around the house.
For charging, they're fine. To transfer data, just fine too. Where I notice a difference between cheapo and the one that came with the phone is when I WiFi Tethering and using the MHL adapter while streaming a movie or sporting event. Neither can keep the phone charged, but the cheapos, the GN2 drains the battery faster. 20% per hour vesus 10%.
Thus, if you have a cable from other phones you don't use anymore, just use it. Although, I like the calling Samsung idea.
I bought this one and has worked like a charm

Mono price is the way I'm going I'm gonna take it your a long time customer? I'm going for the premium cables since they just look nicer. I've heard the touchpad charger is great I may pick one up as a spare.

My dad and I have been using them for years even movie theater equipment top notch stuff I recently ordered a premium 6 foot cable with the hp touchpad charger and my phone chargers in 1:30 hours and the phone last longer

Mono price is awesome. Just tried the premium cable and it fits with a case on the phone the cheap cables don't latch in all that great as it hits the case. I usually shave it down with a razor blade

I have noticed that some phones seem to kill charge wires... At least that's my experience...
To test... Plug in the wire... And the GENTLY push the wire/plug towards the back of the phone... If the charge light turns on... Blame the wire
Sent from my Vivid 4G using Tapatalk
By wire you mean the actual USB cable? I have at least half a dozen cables and when the port fails it starts by getting picky and only working with certain ones, but with in a day or two it won't work with any of them. I replace the charge port and it works fine again for a couple weeks...

I have to make sure I don't move my cable after I plug it in to the wall, or else it will stop charging. Also, when my vivid died at my friends house, we tried a cable for a rezound and a few others, but they didn't work... the original cable will charge my phone. Just my two cents.
One question! Today i decided to charge my phone with its original charger for the first time! I plugged in the charger and after 20 mins or so i smelled like something was burning! Went to check the charger and it was halfway melted but the phone was still showing like it was charging! I disconnected it immediately and continued charging it with another charger! Now after fully charged my battery drops like a stopwatch! I wanted to ask a question ! Has anything happened to the phone or it is just a coincidence??

I have it since august but stock charger was never needed! Phone works ok but dont know if it has done any damage
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
get new oryginal charger and test it, but dont hold device in hand and watch whats going on, record this mate, 100% won case
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
Well if it still charges then it's ok. I had a similar issue but it cooked the USB port on the phone end. Give it a few full charge and discharge cycles. If the battery is draining quick then I'd do a warranty job

Battery seems ok now after a day! Same screen on time and everything seems ok! Guess htc have implemented a safety mechanism on chargers end to protect the phone!
