[Q] Insanity cm 041

Hi,
Just flashed to insanity 041 with semaphore and stock 2.3.5... JVS...
Having really poor battery performance... I've since read the Stock kernel is performing better...
Can anyone advise whether this is the case or if there is better option?...
Also, can't find any links to Stock 2.3.5 kernel, can anyone point me in the right direction?...

You need to check the cm7 thread for stock kernel - it is NOT jvs though!

You are already on the stock kernel! Poor battery life is the reality of cm based roms but they are getting better. Give it a couple of chargingcycles and it will improve. You can also try Pimp my Cpu and undervolt some.

Ram issues

Hi. I am using 2.3.4XXJVR in my sgs. I flashed it wid faryaabs galaxian kernel V7(look of sgs2). My phone works perfect but m getting only 334MB ram. So my phone freezes often n i hav to reboot it every time. Tell me any way to increase my ram n also battery back up. Thanks

Try to use last jw4 firmware if you need more ram.

What is IMM76D ELITE V9.1?? N if i use ics than will i lose sgs2 looks ??

Dont know if sgs2 theme is released for that new firmware yet, u tried semaphore kernel for gingerbread instead of galaxian?
Semaphore with high LMK works nice with free mem.

[Q] i need help

hello
so here.my friend has samsung galaxy s I9000,and he gave it to me to flash it.now, wont have problems with flashing since im experienced in odin and cwm,but i would need someone to tell me wich kernels and roms should i use.
what i need:best gingerbread kernels,and best ics kernels.ill try many roms in this two days i would have this phone,but my only concern is the kernels.
i am also thinking about to make MegaBassBeats for GS gingerbread users.but i would need your help then.thanks

All ics kernels are great, midnight, semaphore, devil and glitch. Personally I find midnight and semaphore most stable.

That's for gb, I don't see the point in using gb still.
ICS is stable and by far superior, slim ICS with devil or midnight kernel. Anyone would love that combo.

I tried both,and cm7 is faster.and got everything working.you need to understand that 3.0 kernel on gingerbread isnt a small thing.its above-average

Try using devil/glitch kernel.

Semaphore 1.2.3s... stratosk implemented some parts of linaro with toolchain..... he owned it...amazingly fast kernel

There is only TEST version of 1.2.3 Semaphore Kernel.

U can use s vrrsion if u have f4k patch ....
sgs i9000 = god

I am also using RemICS rom 1.1
i flashed kernel script cleaner and then Semaphore 1.2.3 (without s)

i flashed 1.2.3 ....... its amazing
great game performance . great benchmark . really smouth
but i want to reflash it after the kernel cleaner script .(in case there's some mixed up stuff) . can you guys please give me a link to the kernel cleaning script ?

I am currently running the CM10.1 (Android 4.2.1) with stock kernel. I've been searching for a kernel to install but that's where I've encountered a problem - I'm pretty new here..
So, what are your suggestions for a kernel? The only thing I care is performance!

+1 for semaphore 2.9, 120 live OC stable with mackay ROM 2.3.2. Benchmarks around 4400...have achieved 4600 once.

i use semaphore 2.9.0s they is very stable on my phone with 120% live oc and the Lazerdroid Tweak from Lenarox
I tested 3 Roms with this combination

Use Mackay kernel its faster than sema

Test both kernel and then you see what goes better with you

I've tested all kernels and for me the best performing is Devil.

I prefer semaphore.
