Can Anyone Recommend A Pole Stand For A 40" Samsung LED - Off-topic

I really hate traditional TV Stands. I live in an apartment so I can't wall mount or I'm in violation of the lease. I have a 40" Samsung LED.
Does anyone use a pole stand or other minimal stand for thier TV?

Hmm, Pre-order and the pictures are faked (charging lead plugging in the left hand side?). Best wait till after their September due date and check again, it looks like it will be a nice solution if it arrives.
I bought a universal car dock from ebay and whilst the phone fits (kind of) the streak is just so damn heavy it shakes about A LOT. It's usable, but very irritating.
Not sure what these 2 will be like though, but watch out for shaking
saving seller for future use.
Now they are on i am sure their will be more to follow ie China
ah, the chinese. good food, attractive women, cheaply made, cheaply priced inferior products we just cant resist. gotta love em
Yep that is all True and Yep We never Learn and we BUY BUY BUY dont we just love em
Considering the car docking kit from Dell is perfect, I don't see why anyone would consider a third party car station.

Sure... aside from the over-inflated price. I bought mine from a local Wireless Wave here in Toronto and it works just as well for $20 taxes in.
Dell car kit far from perfect
I bought the car kit from Dell, and no matter whether the device is hanging from the windshield or off the dash, the Streak bounces around like mad when I am driving. My car is nowhere NEAR that bad - it is a heavy device and an awkward mount.
I just ordered a GPS t-mount from ProClip that might work well. I will take the sleeve the Streak sits in on the gooseneck and mount that on the ProClip mount, then attach that to the vehicle mount made for my car. That should lock the device down.
It's an expensive solution, but I spend about an hour each way commuting daily, so it is really a necessity for me. My mount should be here on Wednesday, and if anyone is interested I will write it up and post a picture or two if it works.
pictures would be awesome.
Do you see anyway to have the adapter attached (jerry-rigged) to the mount so that it plugs in when you insert the Streak?
I am looking for a way, as plugging the cable in is extremely tempermental, and a pain, to be honest!!
I suppose you could do something on the bottom of the Dell sleeve to hold the cable. I will have my cable secured on the console and the mount, so it is no problem for me to plug it in the bottom of the phone when I put it in the stand.
The mount comes in tomorrow. Can't wait. Had to slam on the brakes on the way home today and it looked like my phone was on the business end of a trebuchet...

In the US it is only 39.99.... not too expensive if you ask me. Plus this car docking kit really is perfect for the Streak. The sides are flexible rubber that hold the Streak and on the back there are rubber pads so absolutely no plastic is touching the Streak resulting in no scratches. Plus you get a a cable with it.
Perfection is worth the 40 bucks. Although I would love to see images of the one you purchased and seem pleased with.
I have the Dell car kit and I like it. It seems reasonably priced at $40 since it comes with a cigar lighter-USB adapter and USB cable as separate items. One can never have too many charging cables or options. The mount does jiggle a bit however this can be cured by positioning the mount so the cradle rests on top of the dash rather than suspended in mid-air.
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
I'm looking to use the dell case inners for a car holder. I have some garmin mounts that will allow me to fix to the dash.
The issue with the ones from ebay (original post) the holding part is covering the power pdmi connector.
Sent from my Dell Streak using XDA App
Anyone thinking of making their own car mount should make clearance for the camera lens so it can be used as a dash-cam. Dell did not do this and it would require some cutting on their kit.

I acutally brought one of these:

The arm is solid but since it still sticks out a fair bit and the phone is kinda heavy, it does bounce a little (nothing compared to the flexi arms you find on most other phone holders). And since the Dell has a flat back, it sticks pretty well too (though I have had it drop once but I think that was cos my brother didn't put it on properly and due to the weight, it slowly peeled itself off). The pad only covers a small area of the back of the phone so you can use the camera, and there's also no clamps that would obscure the charging port or the buttons on top.
If the docking station was cheaper, I'd seriously consider getting another one for the car, that way I can easily put it on and take it off with super easy and I can leave the cable plugged in and just tuck it away (saves so much time when I do multiple deliveries and stuff).

I've seen the Dell car mount kit, and it seems to have a snugg fit to the dell.
my question is... can you use it with a case over the Dell, something like the form fit case from Dell.

How good is it really? does it pad really grip the device. I'ts an interesting concept, but does it hold onto the Dell through a long journey.

Wireless Charging

Is it possible to use Wireless Charging like this with HD2? Or metal cover on battary will disrupte signal?
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2013...ter-for-Samsung-Galaxy-Note-II/792485887.html
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/new-...rging-pad-for-Samsung-Nokia-LG/813009020.html
expect that one would be too big to fit under cover & cover would need be cut & plastic panel put in or source plastic cover to allow better charge signal.
Couple of people have done wireless charging on HD2 but using a receiver similar to this one could result in a very discreet & practical customization ...
You can search for Powermat Wireless charger for HTC HD2 to take an idea.
Thank you so much for sharing the post about the wireless charging, inductive chargers and how it works within consumer and industrial electronics. I wish to share the product for energy-efficient wireless chargers, it's come in all shapes, sizes and colors, so you can pick one to match your phone, which means you can use any wireless charger you like. Wireless Charger Damaging phone?

Hi, I'm using my fast wireless samsung charger. I was told by someone that the magnetic field can damage your phone??? And with the new FAST wireless charger, the magnetic field is even stronger which enables the fast wireless charging. Can wireless chargers actually damage the phone?
P.S. I'm using it with my Note 5 (N9208 Taiwan Import). I have to use a travel adapter on the plug because taiwan plugs are 2-pin and UK plugs are 3-pin.

In addition, the magnetic waves can cause brain damage, genital reduction, and cause you to grow hair between your toes.
...Or maybe not...
Just something to keep in mind: The entire Earth is surrounded by massive magnetic fields. I wouldn't worry about it.
Let's just put it this way, why would Samsung make a feature that would destroy their phones and then have to deal with customers with broken phones? The electro magnetic field will not harm your phone (it can get hot, but that's just the way it is).
Try not to listen to people about tech if they don't know anything about it, like how there are still people who think sitting closer to a TV is worse for you. (It's not btw, simply a fear that carried on when TVs used vacuum tubes and xrays)

Spare Galaxy Watch 3 charging dock

Is there 3rd party one available that doesn't overheat watch?
I am also interested in this.
Related - is there a wireless pad that could charge the GW3 as well as a phone? The included puck won't charge my S10e.
Although now that I have a metal band on my GW3, I'm pretty limited (i.e. watch has to wrap around the wireless charger because of the clasp, as opposed to the original leather strap that completely disconnects).
ever since the moto 360, all my smartwatches have had a metal clasp/band.
i use the duo pad from samsung, but i hang the duo pad over a table so the watch can hang...

Hello ,
i use original charger with this :
Galaxy Watch 3 Night Stand S352
Spigen’s Night Stand for the Galaxy Watch 3 (45mm/41mm) is made entirely of scratch-free TPU for minimal aesthetics packed with smart functionality. It features a bottom lip that cradles your watch on its side for stability that prevents your watch from swaying side to side. An exact charger...
www.spigen.com
Same thing Galaxy watch 46 mm .
Best Buy has the original Samsung Charging Pad on sale for $14.99.

You can 3d print or buy a stand for these
Here's a link to a 3d printable holder for the charging pad. It's my favorite and if you print it at 100% PLA and add some small stick on rubber feet to the bottom it's heavy and stable enough to stay where you put it.

Agree with Best Buy options...
I'm using this one. Works with phones and watches https://www.samsung.com/uk/mobile-accessories/wireless-charger-pad-p3105-ep-p3105tbeggb/

Hi, I just found out that my old Gear S2 watch charging cradle charges my Galaxy Watch 3.
I haven't used it to fully charge the GW3 yet but hey, it actually charges, will try it next time the watch needs a full charge and see how well it goes.

If you just get a few tall stick-on feet, the watch band will go right under the charger. I've always preferred the metal bands and this was the first issue I ran into with them. This works great. Notice the one foot in the center of the fan, be careful not to block the air flow.

Question Best magnetic wireless car charger + case combo?

I have been looking at Mous but they are very expensive. Are there other options? Also, possibly nicer cases that work with cheaper mounts? I am open. I even heard people doing hacks with metal/magnets and cases.
I'm using Samsung's fast wireless charger and Samsung's S-Pen silicon cover and works great. I also tried SPACE transparent TPU cover and didnt cause any issues with wireless charging
Moue or pitaka, if you want smth that is designed to work together but both are kinda expensive, pitaka is more like a skin and don offer protection so mouse look much better for the price. Or just get any case you like and Xiaomi Wireless Car Charger 20W or similar.

Thanks, I have looked at both Mous and Pitaka. I would have gone with Pitaka because the price point is acceptable, but I agree that the case doesn't offer enough protection for me. I am trying to find something that only uses magnets for the convenience. I have been using one now and I am spoiled. I wonder if there are any cases out there that will work with Pitaka mount or a mount that will work with the Mous case? I can't bring myself to spend $100 on the Mous mount. I also don't want to have metal on the outside of the case. I want my cake and eat it too.

That looks cool and I may get it, I am specifically looking for a magnetic car mount that can charge wirelessly that doesn't cost an arm and a leg like the Mous Limitless 3.0.

Oh my bad, didnt read the CAR part.. sorry aorry
Has anyone tried ohsnap with their wireless mount? It sounds economical and could work but I heard it doesn't have a strong hold and doesn't always charge right. It also sounded like those people may have not taken the time to put it on the right spot in the back.
Have you seen this Unisynk holder? You can use it with any case..
