Hello guys! I haven't had any 3G/4G connection for 3 days now and I couldn't find a fix
I tried the battery/sim-card pull and *#*#4636#*#*. I'm running on the 5.9.902 version (stock ROM) and never really flashed anything after I rooted the phone months ago. What gives?
Any suggestions to fix this? I tried to boot on another rom but it too has no 3G/4G connection. Wi-Fi works fine on both though.
Please help!
UPDATE: I installed a newer version of the Eclipse ROM (2.2) and I can see the 4G icon. I'll test it out. I'm still wondering why I suddenly lost my connection on the stock ROM?
This happend to a friend of mines and my brother. Some how they had just turned Data off in Settings -> Battery & data manager -> Data delivery -> Data Enabled on/off
Oh, I'll try that when I boot on the stock ROM. Thank you!

Hi guys,
I'm being annoyed by my SGS about his data connection. Hope someone could help me!
Few days ago I flashed MIUI Mintberry 2.1.20 and everything was working like a charm, but this morning data connection switch failed several times.
I've tried to wipe everything, re-flash Mintberry and even to flash JVU stock with Odin, but I still can't switch on my data connection.
I can't even see any icon on the status bar.
Any idea? Is my phone broken?

Hmm this is strange, so you turned data on but theres no symbol, right? Have you tried installing another kernel (maybe also applying the Kernel Cleaning Script)?
I' ve tried everything with Odin, and at the moment I have a beautiful black screen of death.
Odin cannot recognize my phone... I'm very frustrated
EDIT: Upgrading Kies'drivers, I managed to connect the phone with Odin again, so I've flashed the lastest official stock firmware to check my antennas. In the worst case, I'll be able to go to the shop for assistance without problems.
Have u tried typin ur apn maually?

Sounds like a settings issue. Never heard of anyone have this problem before - I've flashed every version of mintberry including betas.
I just had this issue
I just had this and figured out what is wrong, its a easy fix too! Just go to settings and wireless and change the access point for your mobile connection. I had 2 access points and just switched it to the other one and my data started working again!
Hope I could help
Hi guys! thank you for all these answers!
I've tried to set APN manually, to change custom ROM and custom kernels and coming back to stock too, but still no data connection icon (neither data connection itself).
At the moment, I'm on JVO, the latest official italian firmware, everything is fine but 3g data connection.
Other ideas? Shall i need of Samsung customer service (I hope no!)?
Solved...
MIUI default settings fault: SMS notification has ran out my money and my provider has blocked 3g connection.
My phone is safe!
Hey guys,
i recently rooted and flashed my sgn with ICS stunner 4.5 following the instructions found in these forums. Its been successful apart from the lack of any data connection (3g/H+). I can call and text just fine, but even though I've activated all radios on the euphoria settings no luck...
I searched around and know the solution to be flashing a different modem files, but i do not know which one is suitable: i have an international sgn and im in India if that information is useful.
Thanks in advance
I just flashed 5.0 coming from 4.5 and i have network issues too. i can share my internet data conx via wireless tethering but cannot use the same internet on my galaxy note (host device)..i can call.etc but cant browse the internet or even login into my google account. thr signal icon is GREY in colour instead of BLUE.please help.
Maybe stupid question, but worth a shout. APN settings?
my APN settings are correct, everything was working fine while i was on 4.5 but now on 5.0 the 3G/HSPA mobile data is unusable, like i said yea,i can do wireless tethrering FROM the NOTE to other devices BUT i just can't use my mobile data on the note itself..could it be an issue with something obvious im not seeing? please help guys.
I had audio issues with 4.5 and went back to 4.3. But I did not have issues with my data connection with 4.5. I'm currently enjoying 5.0.
The first post in Stunner mentions that 5 is a major upgrade. To me, that means a complete fresh install is required. I re Odin Mobiled the ICS repack, CWM installed the Stunner 5 zip, entered my broadband APN and reinstalled my apps with Titanium. Sofar, no issues and data is working fine, both wifi and 3G/H/H+.
same problem here, 4.5 H+ with good connection. Here its greyed out with no data whatsoever, just wifi.
@All - Try this-
Try doing a clean install. Start from flashing the cf-repack LP1 through Mobile Odin keeping all the options in Everroot checked. Reboot and let that rom settle. Then reboot in recovery and then wipe cache and data and then flash ICS Stunner 5.0 and immediately after the LP6 modem (with rebooting) Then wipe cache and dalvik and data again and then reboot.
Hope this helps! Hit thanks if you want
Finally. OK. No matter how many times u reboot, it won't work. U have 2 go to settings and mobile networks and see your access points. I had a different one when I was in 4.5 which gave me perfect access to mobile internet network but the one in 5.0 was completely different, all u have to do is revert back to 4.5 copy the access point APN details and then in 5.0 make a new APN with the exact same details. Hope this helps you. Don't forget to use the thanks button

hey guys,to ALL experiencing the same 3G issues/mobile data issues i experienced...this is how i fixed mine.
---> the APN settings i used/had with 4.5 were ''almost'' the same..but i noticed a ''slight'' difference in my APN TYPE. it was changed from ''internet'' to ''default'' (depends on ur network provider though),plus i was using proxy settings while on 4.5 so what i did is NOT to change ANYTHING else in 5.0 APN settings...ONLY deleted the PROXY address and PORT (8080)...saved the updated settings - finito!
so the problem is in APN settings,if you use a proxy as part of the settings just delete the proxy & port, save the settings then u should see the grey signal bar turn blue automatically...i hope this is helpfull to all.
big thanks
king, thanks a lot, your method worked for me very well

Hi guys,
Because of the performance issues 10 days ago I decided to install custom rom so first I rooted my phone. After that I found the installing custom rom is diffucult (because I am noob) so decided not to do it.( i really didnt do anything except rooting).
2days ago because of performance issues again, I decided to reset my phone to factory settings by the option in the settings. During the prosses phone reseted itself and stayed at lg logo( light and lg logo came and went continiously). So i gave my phone to technical servise and they fixed it. (probably reinstalled the system).
But now I have problem with 3g and wireless. For example, wireless and 3g is switched off in settings but I still have internet connection( so stupid) and when i try to connect my wireless connection at home it fails until i open 3g. After opening 3g, it connects wireless and shows signal strength of wireless but after closing 3g, it doesnt show signal strength.
Does any of you experienced such problem and know the solution ???? Help me please.
Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi, I never had this problem. My suggestion is to root the phone and try to flash a new rom. Search "Django Manouche 1.2 Renaissance", based on stock kernel v20q Gingerbread 2.3.4. I try it for a long time and i think is a very fast and stable rom. For install a rom you need tp flash a custom recovery. In XDA forum there are many posts that explain this. I hope to check out was helpful
I recently installed both AOKP and CM10, the most recent versions on my Verizon Droid 3. Now, i have no service. I downloaded (via wifi) the app "lte on/off" to get a look at what was happening, and the radio keeps rapidly switching on and off, on and off over and over again. This happened with all the AOKP versions i tried and both CM10 versions I tried. Ive rebooted, re-flashed, tried different download links, reflashed again, wipe and reflash. Im at a complete loss here guys, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I had the exact same problem. I went insane scouring the web for hours trying to find a single person with the same problem until I finally gave up. Does anyone know the last version that actually worked?
I also have this problem, do anyone have any idea how to fix this problem?

I had similar problems on cm10.1. I have no idea if this will work (I'm outside the US, and my phone asked me to activate the phone), but I also had no service, no data. I changed my network mode from GLOBAL to GSM/WCDMA auto. Now I have service and data (Data after applying the correct carrier apn settings)
I hope this helps you all
P.S. after this step I made factory resets without the need to do the above step again (You only need to put the correct apn settings again if your on networks other than Verizon)
