this come out a few months back, was the only reason I switched to the Amaze when my mT4G died instead of going somewhere else.
Their investing in bringing LTE and the 1900 AWS band to the network, the 1900 band should be here by the end of the year, therefore encouraging iphone users and other 1900 band compatible devices, such as just about every international device out there and LTE, well that is pretty obvious why.
I logged in online yesterday and a pop up about this came up. So retarded.

Maybe some people didn't know. You know, the ones that don't listen to the news, read any newspapers, blogs, anything.. I know t-mobile subs use more data than every other carrier in the states but apparently its cause we're watching netflix and hulu on our smartphones. lmao
It's new because they're trying to reassure customers that they're working on getting they're service to it's peak, better signal, faster data speeds and also by implementing the 1900 band enabling customers who want the iPhone to be able to use it and get 3G/HSPA speeds with data, after all they lost a lot of customers when they slacked off during the merger period. They're trying to win those back and insure that they keep all others that are currently still with them.

Na, think they're building new towers for that, adding LTE infrastructure to the current network as well, that new band is to enable other devices such as international and devices from networks like AT&T to work on their 3G/HSPA and soon LTE network, hence no more 2G only on iPhones anymore.

Hello,
I am going to buy an international note.. what are its speeds for web browsing..
Speed test pics would be appreciated and videos

anyone have speed test pics??
It would really help me out.. I don't know if I should spend 700 on the pink note. If I'm gonna have super crappy internet

Well the speed for web browsing is really fast on HSDPA+ (The highest one that you can get here in europe)
Found a speedtest on a german android forum.
http://fs01.androidpit.info/userfiles/411957/image/galaxy note 749.png
Edit:
Remember, that's not the highest value. HSDPA+ can reach up to 21,1 Mbit/s here.
This was with an international note?
But idk if it be the same for T-Mobile since were on 1700mhz
If 9mbps was reached there.. hopefully here as well

So buy a pink case or those sticker covers and you can make it pink. I'd rather have a fully functional device than a colored device. That is only if you need the speed. if not pink it up! Where I live I only get 3G. Not hspa+, when I go downtown I get hspa+ so it's not worth it for me nor a deal breaker.

I use an n7000 on tmo stateside. Its only 2g so speeds are horrible... roughly 100 to 150kbps both up and down. This doesnt really matter to me however, as im in wifi 99% of the time. The 2g works fine for gps, email and mobile versions of websites. But forget about youtube, or full version website surfing. One thing i havent checked is pandora streaming... might work ok.

I have the international note, and for the most part I get around 256k speeds at best. Depending on where you are located though they have repurposed their 1700 band into their latest hspa+, so if you happen to end up in one of those area data will be really fast. (sorry never ran a speed test with one of those connections) The problem is that is was mainly an experiment and they most likely won't continue not that they are moving to LTE, and the areas with this working are fairly rare.

Out of his ass....must have Sprint confused with T-Mobile. Sprint home coverage covers somwhere around 70% of the U.S. geographically and around 85-90% of the population currently. When NV is completed, around 95% of the population will be covered by 800,1900,2300mhz (tri-band)LTE and 800mhz voice.

Verizon has LTE in practically the entire state but their pricing and customer service are so crappy that I would not even consider switching to them.

The plan is that anywhere that has 3g will have LTE by the end of next year.
Sent from my Sprint Galaxy S4 using Tapatalk 2
One of the problems I have already been seeing is that you now get charged extra for data roaming in places where it used to be included in your plan. A lot of peeps I know are getting let out of contracts because of that. And from what I'm hearing it actually doesn't seem like roaming signal in general is as good as it was just a few months ago.

Highly doubt it... Verizon is operating LTE on 700 mhz (the latest article I saw was that in 2015 they will plan to shift some EVDO to LTE on 1900). The Sprint HTC One only supports LTE on 1900.
Just because Sprint hasn't officially announced LTE in that area doesn't mean they haven't been doing the update. They have a ton of location that have spotty (and even complete) LTE coverage that aren't even officially on the LTE list.
The n.ispsn is something new also.

Force roaming causing 4G detection isn't anything new, actually. If you put the device into LTE mode only, it achieves something similar. The device would much rather stay on Sprint service if at all possible and will take a weak LTE signal if it can (even if it would normally prefer a nearby Sprint tower providing 3G coverage).
The speeds you've posted are in-line with a Sprint 4G test/slow rollout and would frankly be rather laughable on Verizon's 4G network-- if we get around the obvious hurtle that it is not physically possible for your phone to pick up Verizon's LTE, full stop.
Eliminate what's impossible (by hardware) and we have a series of at least possible alternatives.

Sprint 4G on initial release in an area or an a tower is very wonky. It's off and on, slow and only works at a short range. Just be patient and you will get it really soon. They just activated it in a couple areas where I live also. They tend to put them near Sprint Corp stores.

Why is it unbelievable that Sprint is bringing 4g to Arkansas... They HAVE TO do the NV update on every single tower that broadcasts Sprint Signal. It is cheap as dirt to just add the LTE hardware into the NV station once the NV upgrade is completed. This is a nation wide requirement since they are about to do some wonky ass things on the 1900 MHz PCS bands (when they start to reallocate their allowed bandwidth to different techs, it is an across the board FCC license).
I'm from Arkansas too and have been keeping up with the 4G there because that's where I travel to every chance I get. Jonesboro has sprint lte and it's been planned for little rock and Fayetteville to get it for months. It was only a matter of which day. I'm surprised it took them this long. But it was expected. I'm so happy to hear this wonderful news

Spring will be seeing many more Verizon customers in the coming months. S4/Note 3/S5 all locked from here out will bring more over.

Then you're lucky, because there are still TONS of places that don't have LTE, including major cities. I was in Denver a few weeks ago and still had to make do with 3G just like I do at home. Also, 40-60 mbs is unheard of, even on Verizon and AT&T. My home wifi isn't even that fast. If that figure is even remotely accurate, you're definitely a (very) rare exception rather than the rule.

Either a typo or BS. If anyone is actually getting those kinds of speeds on ANY mobile network in the US (let alone Sprint), I'll eat my own face.

My boss routinely pulls 40-45Mbps downloads on his Verizon GNEX at work (Cleveland, TN)

As I pointed out earlier, that is very much the exception and not the rule. Also, you'll never get speeds like that on Sprint LTE.

Maybe burst speed, but not steady speed.

My wife has vzw note 2. Here in indiana we have equal lte coverage but vzw speeds is usually 3-4 down. My sprint phone always whips vzw here. Dont dog Sprint. I avg 10-20 down and hit 30-40 down alot. This is all from our single band only phones. The only edge vzw has is lte building Penetration. All will be solved with tri band lte devices.

Idk OP, my service and bandwidth on Sprint's LTE is pretty solid, speaking as a recent convert from Verizon.
Ohh, I remember the good ol' days before Verizon lost their way. I was a Verizon customer during the release of the OG Motorola Droid, and that phone was like a development catalyst. I discovered xda thanks to that phone's development following. Everything I came to love about customizing kernels and roms came from that phone. ****, I remember what now seems like an ancient version of CyanogenMod for that OG Droid. I remember that phone out of the box was underclocked of all things, from 550Mhz down to 450 which made overclocking that thing to a meaty 1ish Ghz seem so beastly at the time lol!
Ahhhh good times :good:
Decent Sprint LTE speeds in College Park, MD
I get decent speeds (15-23 Mb down, 7-10 Mb up) on Sprint in College Park MD according to Speedtest.
Won't the speeds for the Sprint LTE towers drop for an individual once more people start utilizing it? I suspect some people are getting very high speeds because not a lot of Sprint users are tapping into the LTE bandwidth yet?

Close - it was a 600 mhz CPU underclocked to 550 mhz. I remember there were kernels that could overclock the thing all the way to 1.3 ghz. I've still never used another phone that could be overclocked that far past the native clock speed (by percentage, at least). Good times.
