ICS or GB

Can somebody tell what is the difference between ICS and GB.
Secondly how can one install ICS if he is on GB.
Thirdly games such as modern combat, NFS HP, etc HD games and other GB Apps will work fine on ICS.
Lastly benefits of updating to ICS or disadvantages of Updating to ICS.

upgrading depends on what rom you want to use and if you are rooted or not?
your third part is not really a question by I guess you mean does it work? and the answer is yes they should work fine.
Benefits well you get all the new changes, downside is as there is no offical release most of the roms are still buggy
Thanxxx man but i know i posted earlier ques in wrong section but its not so serious matter how people r reacting they can simply tell to post ques in other section.

people get like that because it happens far to often its not a attack at you or anything just at people not reading the rules and posting in the right place
Biggest differences are under the hood. ICS uses GPU UI rendering where gingerbread is still using cpu. Other than that the theme as changed. Better stock launcher and more unified look.
Read this for a pretty detailed discussion of ICS (its a review of the nexus in addition to ICS, but gets into details about ICS and what's different)

Hsdpa jellybean bug?

I hope I have posted this in the right section, I have noticed a strange bug when using jellybean roms, with every jellybean rom I have tried, when I am on Gb and Ics when I go into settings about phone it always states network as hsdpa 11, but when I am on jellybean roms it always states hsdpa 8 , what is this all about? how is that possible? is it a bug on jellybean and will it affect data speeds?
You can't post this in the development section.

why not? it concerns development on custom roms, every single jellybean rom I have tried has this same problem surely only a developer can answer this question?

No. This section is for development. You have a question. Questions go in the Q&A section And development goes in the development section. Simple.

Ok I will post this question there as well, I hope somebody can fix this issue as speeds are awful when tethering, hopefully somebody will have a fix, thanks anyway

He can't? But he did anyway )
But, I can ensure you that this number has no effect on the network speed in any way.
Oh yes it does. I have tested this theory and jellybean is roughly 1.5 to 2 mbps slower on download and .5 slower on upload using category 8 compared to ICS category 9. Quite a significant difference. Enough to ditch bean if you use tethering regularly.

[Q] why

why is it that other devices with locked bootloaders get custom roms yet we cant.
Because this is the only device that ever was made that is so perfect it needs no Rom to be perfect. and lg also made specially so that you have something to complain about because otherwise life wouldn't be perfect.

[Q] About custom roms for Z1

Hello friends! im from Brazil.. , there is any stable and pure custom rom for Z1 ?
I see a lot of roms on the forum but I am unsure of what is the best and no bugs.
Thanks
The answer you will get: try them for yourself and see which one you like, they're all very similar and it's up to you to see
