Could I get some guide to resolve my problem, please?
For the start, I have unlocked bootloader and rootet my Galaxy Note but I cannot get raid of the the Yellow Triangle with the black exclamation sign. However, the device works fine.
Just a moment ago, I received the notification to download the stock ICS update. It goes through the rituals of downloading but returns back to Gingerbread 2.3.6 after installation.
Baseband version: N7000XXLA4
Kernel version: 2.6.35.14-ver.4.2 ([email protected] #3
Please help me!
Regards
Danny
update:
After 2nd attempt, I received this message:
Software Update: Failed to update firmware. Try again using PC software (Kies) or visit a Samsung service centre)
I think you'll need to flash manually. Not sure if OTA updates work after flashing a different kernel than the default one
Thanks, lukasspro777
I am not entirely sure if the update is located on the sdcard though. I will check that. thanks
i believe there is a way to get rid of the yellow triangle but its risky its called triangle away you would have to search it then i would download the rom you want with something like checkfus and flash it with pc odin
@anubis1126
Many thanks. I am trying the firmware upgrade via Samsung Kies. I will check it out later. Regards
The problem with ICS updates is that they are non-wipe and assume everything is fine on the phone and when it isn't then you get problems.
I would flash XKL8 which does a full wipe and gets rid of errors then flash the non-wipe UK rom.
Sincere appreciation to all
@Gaugerer, @anubis1126 & @lukasspro777
The firmware upgrade via Samsung Kies resolved all my problems, including the removal of Yellow Triangle.
New Info include:

Hello! Last week I tried many firmwares but I decided to restore the original one using KIES.
To restore the stock firmware I downgraded to JF3, than used Kies's test mode to update.
After having turned the phone on I went in the info section of the settings and I get these data:
2.1-update1
I9000XXJM2
Kernel version 2.6.29 [email protected] #2
ECLAIR.WXJM3
How can be possible that after 2 odin flashes and a kies upgrade I still have root? How can I remove it if I have to send it back for warranty? Thank you very much... have a nice day!
I forgot to say that I used the CSC CSC_I9000HUIHUI that I have found here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7822645&postcount=167)
Where are you from? i didnt think JM3 was available over Kies anyway? try flashing again and check re-partition in Odin.
i used the JM1 from here:
https://www.wuala.com/Samsung Galax...ginal Firmwares/Europe/July/?key=AfzUZSU4SpKU
and it worked fine with no root, make sure u flash CSC, PDA and MODEM
I am Italian... and I updated using Kies_1.5.1.10071_32
you cant have flashed properly, read the steps in the BIG FAQ under app development in this forum. or just do what i said above
I flashed using re-partition, with
s1_odin_20100512.pit
CODE_I9000XXJF3_REV03_LOW.tar
MODEM_I9000XXJF3.tar
CSC_I9000OXAJF3.tar
than I updated via kies
I don't think the "root" in the build details means you have a rooted phone - I believe it's because it was compiled by someone logged in as root on a computer at Samsung. Root on your phone is really just a matter of having the su command and the Superuser Permissions application.
Do you have that application? If you run a terminal emulator and type su, does it work?
I didn't try the su command also because I didn't have the the app in the list. Anyway this is very strange!
I agree this isn't strange at all really, you should only be worrying about this when you actually need to send it in for prepare anyway

What is your kenel version?
Does anybody know how can I change it?
[email protected] #2
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
is your phone rooted too?
Rooting your phone has nothing to do with that '[email protected]' string. That is from the firmware developers, probably was there on the JF3 firmware you put on, or was given because you used the test mode.
Rooting your phone doesn't change that [email protected] or [email protected], it is absolutely irrelevant. Your phone is not rooted unless you did it yourself.
is that a problem when you send it for warranty?

Probably. You have installed an experimental beta firmware. But again, it always depends on the guy at the shop.
but I updated via kies o.o

Euro Tab
Just installed the Gingerbread official firmware from forums but Kies will still not show current firmware, when I installed a ROM before it changed the format.
Is there a way to put the Tab back to stock firmware so that it works with Kies again now that we have an official release rather than using Odin
Thanks in advance

English in the English forums please.....Whatever THAT language is it does not belong here.
Anybody
Still no answer is this not possible?
Just want to put tab back to out of the box state by re-flashing the tab using Kies.
I have done it using Odin and now have gingerbread but want it to sync with Kies for downloads again.
Well I did it.
I flashed Rotohammer v4 and used bootloader patch to see if there is a protected one. But as far as I know GB doesn't have protected bootloaders.
Then I flashed the P1000XWJJ4 firmware. Works for me. If this doesn't work try P1000XXJK5.
After that KIES recognizes your tab and offers you updates again.
Gtab DOES have protected boot loaders... They are generally loaded on from those official updates you seem to like... Be careful if you decide to put custom firmware on after reflashing stock as you might find you have a brick...
Can you clarify a bit more as I have flashed the official Gingerbread from Italy onto the device and it working fine apart from Kies does not show any firmware info.
Do I just need to flash the stock UK firmware including bootloaders when it is made avalible and then it should work again?
Tab states the following version info:
Firmware 2.3.3
Baseband P1000XXJPZ
Kernal 2.6.35.7 [email protected] #2
Build GINGERBREAD-XXJQ1
OK just tested again in Kies and it updated Kies to version 2
It now states:
This verision of the device can not be updated
Current firmware version: PDA:JQ1 / PHONE:JPZ / CSC:JQ1 (XEU)
Hopefully this means that when the UK update is released it will allow a force flash or something.
Hey guys, first post after a couple days of reading.
I have to apologize for the length of this, but I want to explain a full history, as it seems as this can be very important in many occasions (with existing lagfix, roots, etc). If you just want to skip to my current issue, please scroll to bottom.
I have a GT-I9000m on Sasktel, in Canada, which I was given from a friend after she got the s2.
It was running 2.3.3
Code:
Phone model: GT-I9000HKABMC
Firmware version: 2.3.3
Baseband: I9000UGKG3
Kernel: 2.6.35.7-I9000UGKG3 [email protected] #2
Version number: GINGERBREAD.GKG3
I was having the somewhat-common issue with the phone taking screenshots when i pressed the middle button. I read this was resolved most of the time by a touchkey firmware update.
After doing this, I lost function in both the menu and the back keys.
Since then I tried the battery pull, and factory reset. Now I have read to re-flash to stock firmware, then update touchkey firmware then update kernel in KIES or wherever. I then I play on rooting, and running CWM and having multiple roms if possible.
I have now rooted my phone, in order to install some software to find information about my CSC etc.
My phone is also network unlocked now, as I have done it myself and verified.
So my question is, to follow guides which say to "flash to stock firmware", what to they mean by stock. Just because it's on 2.3.3 since i've known, that doesn't mean it was always on this version. IF i want to reflash with odin, can I just use "I9000UGKG3-homebinary.tar" to flash to 2.3.3, then try to update the touchkey firmware again? Thanks in advance, hope to become a helper guru one day, too.
Well to anyone interested, i'm going to just try flashing kg3 and go from there. Will update ya.

Sign up and find one for your country or open Europe.
Ya i tried KG3 and no good, did the touchkey firmware update after and no change. Looks like ill try KC1 and see how that flies. Thanks
Hi everyone!
I have a SGS (GT-I9000) that I would like to flash with cyanogenmod7. But despite having read quite a lot of stuff about flashing and so on the internet, I have to admit I am a noob, this is why I would need some advice
I had the phone with 2.2.1. I rooted it with the one click utility and unlocked it with the market app few months ago.
Then I flashed it with Darky's 9.5. After a while, I decided to upgrade it with darky's 10 rc6 but something went wrong (and I have no idea what it could be). Honestly, it has been a while now and I could not say what exactly happened, I can just tell you what I can read on my phone:
Firmware version:
2.3.3
Baseband:
I9000XXJVK
Kernel Version:
2.6.35.7-I9000XWJVB-CL118186
[email protected] #Dark_Core_2.0
Build number:
FICETO.GINGERBREAD.XWJVB
I noticed something which I think is curious. I just intalled Kies in order to get the drivers for the phone, and I received a message:
A new firmware version is available...
current version: PDA:JVB / PHONE:JVK / CSC:JV3
(NEE)
latest firmware version: PDA:JVH / PHONE:JVO / CSC:JV3
(NEE)
But I always thought that when you flashed a custom rom, Kies could not update your phone anymore ?
So do you think that I can just flash the rom in recovery following the guide on cyanogenmod's wiki or should I revert back to stock ?
Thank you for your attention.
Just flash cm. Backup your application with TB, factory reset and follow flashing guide.
If you encounter any problems, you can always flash to stock then.

You won't be able to update officially as long as you are on custom kernel, first flash stock kernel for your stock rom and then update using kies. You can also flash stock GB firmware first and then update officially to 4.0.4.
You do not have to unroot to update using kies.
Jeetu1981,
Thanks. I think I'll go back to GB

That's great if you already have GB downloaded, if not then flashing kernel if much short and easy, you can do it using mobile odin. You may be already aware but still, do not try to wipe when you are on stock kernel. Better to wipe before you flash stock kernel, if you choose this way.
Not your fault

Boot loop is normal after flashing GB rom using odin, just boot in stock recovery and wipe data. But do it if you are sure that GB rom was flashed successfully? I mean did you get the "pass" message and all confirmation in odin? If yes then wipe in stock recovery.
No Joy

Your suggestion didn't solve the problem. I'm still stuck at the boot screen.
Mobile Odin initiated the reboot so I am guess it thought it had finished correctly.
Hope you have more ideas to share.

I have tried that too. Odin sees the device checks the files and then stops cold.
Thanks for trying.
Can you post log, what you getting while flashing GB ROM with PC odin
-Disable firewall/antivirus
-Change USB port, don't use extension cable for USB connection
-Rebbot into download mode
-Reflash GB ROM, and any error copy logs and post here.

This morning the nice folks at a Samsung service point, "fixed" my phone. We don't share a common language so all I was able to get out of the conversation was that it was "software" problem.
Here is how it stands now:

I assume that the changes resulted from whatever the service people did.
I would still like to get my phone back to stock but that seems like risky business to me.
My thanks to everybody lent a hand.
