You can go to system/media folder and delete the bootanimation.zip.

I think he is not asking about boot animation. if you want to window & transition animation just go to settings/developer options there you select 'animation off' under window animation scale & transition animation scale. Hope it helps

[Q] How to disable weather animation?

Hey,
im using Energy ROM Standard: Energy.TOPAZ.21916.Sense2.5.Oct.08.7z (quite perfect ROM for my needs
I would like to disable weather animation on home screen. Help pls.
T.
if you select a wallpaper as "animated wallpaper" (it can be a non-animated wallpaper), your weather animation will be disabled.
in another words, if you do not select a wallpaper as "weather wallpaper", there will be no weather animation. you can select an ordinary wallpaper as animated
Thanks a milion times
I already tried that, but on the list i had only 3 animated wallpapers. Thanks to you a give it a one more try, and now i tap on albums and woalaa ...
i meant that also, if you select from one of those 3 animated pictures, the animation also make the device slower. the "animated..." word distracts users I think
nice to see your problem is solved

Solved: Go Launcher with ICS transitions

Can someone know how to change animations of Go Launcher to ICS transitions.
Right now it shows usual Gingerbread zoom animations.
Re-edit: Here Go Launcher Ex v2.58
Uses ICS transitions (if you have them on your ROM)
TRUE Wallpaper modes: Scrolling and Vertical mode, TRUE because they change the cropper in Gallery into Landscape Cropper or Portrait Cropper accordingly. So No need of Wallpaper Wizardii.

[Q] [WeUI] Homescreen & Lockscreen Wallpaper

Is there any way for me to set my own wallpaper for my homescreen and lockscreen without using ICS's crappy cropping tool?
I know there's an app for your homescreen, but when it comes to lockscreen I can only go into the Themes app and set it from there. Even then, it is majorly zoomed in and blurry.
If it still like GB MIUI, go to lockscreen wallpaper in themes app and hit menu button, choose from gallery and there bam!

OK, now it won't even show a crop tool. It just automatically does whatever it wants for the lockscreen wallpaper. When I try to change my homescreen wallpaper through this method it still uses ICS cropping.
Try the free app QuickPic- when you go to set your wallpaper, it should come up as an option alongside Gallery or whatever. It has its own cropping tool and recognizes your setting for wallpaper, i.e. non-scrolling (fixed) or scrolling (scaled across homescreens) and allows you to crop accordingly.
edit: I am on an AOKP-based ROM and the lockscreen option lets you choose which cropping tool to use- not sure if your ROM will allow this...

[Q] How to get iPhone/MiUI-style animation

Hello,
Can someone tell me if it is possible to change the transition animations of our android ROMs with the iPhone/MiUI ones?
In my humble opinion, iPhone/MiUI animations (just animations) are better/smoother than other android animations.
Home Launchers just change animations for homescreen.
I have already tried the anim-mod app.
I don't like existing transition animations packs.
Android_Stock, Bounce, Drop_In__rubiX_, Flip, Fly_In, Fly_In_and_Flip_Mix__ApeX_, Fold and some others..
I have already tried all these packs in my framework-res.apk.
Are there other packs that have animations like MiUI/iPhone?
Thanks in advance...:fingers-crossed:

Your best bet is to install a third party Launcher like Nova launcher because you have about 10 different animation options for the home-screen that way. Other than that, I'm not sure you can change the stock Sony animation.
