I know there are some tread asking the same thing but those didnt give me a good anwser.
So my question is: Is it possible to have the touchwiz music player from Gingerbread roms on ICS?
It's the only music player that i really like, because of it's very simple but effective features.
I also would love this!

Dont know if its possible, but what functions exactly do you need?
Or its just the visuals?

I'd like the complete music player just as you can find it on Samsung Gingerbread ROMs
there's no such player at this time. you could try miui player or double twist. they are also lightweight and simple.
how about Apollo music or Google music ?
I like them both... they are so ICS ^^ and have lockscreen controls
There is a modded Google music, the CM9 music player. But i think devs abbandoned to project.
It was FC for me, at random times
I've got doubletwist now its an ok music player but ill keep looking for the samsung one because thats still my favorite .

Hey Guys,
I just entered the world of Flashing Roms and is completely taken aback by all the amazing ROMS available here.
The one thing I hate so much in my TP2 is the default music player. The way the library is managed is just awful. Especially due to the lack of scrolling by alphabet feature.
I know there are other music players out there that does a better job. But I was just wondering whether there are any stable roms out here which has tweaked the default manila music player?
Please dont bash me if this has already been discussed. I did a lot of search in the ROM Development thread and couldnt find anything relevant.
Thanks in advance
Hi, I don't know if it's any ROM with a modified HTC player out here, but I think the easiest way is to just install a player you like, and use that.
I think HTC player is nothing more than just a slightly modified user interface of the windows mobile player. It's the WinMo player that sucks unfortunately. I always experience the device running slow with the music player and would love to use a better player.
I think installing third party player is the best option.

Nitrogen is a really good lightweight music player, with some amazing skins as well. But I don't want a lightweight one. Man.. I wish there was a music player for WM with all the functions music players should have, like: Playcount, search, nice organised libraries (not just searching your entire storage card...), nice playlist setup etc. I'm gonna try out MortPlayer soon, just after I get these ROMs uploaded

+1 for Conduits Pocket Player.
I'm using the Sense interface when it comes to music, you just need to organize your favorite sings into playlists Makes the player a far more usable imo.

I setup MortPlayer last night, it's pretty awesome as well Just have to get a new theme. iGloss and Blob (or something like that) are both really brilliant.
Music App for Windows Mobile
S2P is a good music app with alphabetized song, album, and artist listings. It has a nice layout with full screen album art. Really easy to use.
What's ur preferred music player and why?

Since the stock player is crap I'm looking for an alternative. I don't mind paying.
Poweramp looks awesome and got a lot of 5 stars

Stock 2.2 > Power Amp > Honeycomb player WinAmp much of a muchness .
Hoping for VLC media player soon .

VLC would be great. then i could do loads of hd streaming from my pc to my phone
everyone needs a dream
AOSP Music.apk
I like the "vanilla" Android music player (the one from the Android Open Source Project). It's simple and fast. Here's a market link: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.jrtstudio.music
Side note: make sure you're using a kernel with Voodoo Sound drivers included, your music will sound a lot better regardless of the music player app you use.
Honeycomb music player is not available for all regions.
i find its interface nice but it dont have 5.1 surround and equalizer
Two on test and like both .
Player Pro trial & MixZing basic both on the market .

PlayerPro is great... but I stick with Samsung's stock player - it's excellent... it's the only player that allows you to switch between Bluetooth and Phone outputs... (since those are device specific)
No player is able to handle the Album Artist tag properly...
Hello
I'm looking for good music player for my Galaxy S.I've been using PlayerPro but it started to play up just like this.I don't really like PowerAMP so please don't speak about it.Player must have an EQ and should look quite nice
tried a few different players: ended up using Music Folder Player Free as my preferred player
poweramp
10 char
ubermusic
or google music
poweramp is very good
I'm quite happy with miui's stock one (from mintberry).
Has great integration with the system, a great lockscreen widget, plays a folder (this is a must for me, i don't bother with tagging) and an equalizer.
The only downside is if you're not running miui, I don't know if/how you can use it.
Ps: lol, did anyone even read the part where he specifically does not want poweramp?

Just try the 3 'cubed' player, its wicked, great choice of displays, equaliser, lock screen widget, no dodgy background service running after you stop it, fetches all art in one go, manually select folders

poweramp for me as well, the absolutely best I've tried, you could manually select what folders you want included and a builtin equalizer that works ok. Well worth buying also.
Hi ! Downloaded the rom today. Very nice. But no ICS stock Music Player! Downloaded Android Music player from market. Nice but since its not a default player, I am getting the control options on the lock screen . Pls can someone assist me here as to what I should do in this case ? Thanks in advance !

my question is... is there any single music player that integrate all the three function above..?

I don't think there's any media player that integrates all these functions in it.

Why dont you try out Poweramp player?
I love it.
It has an integrated equalizer too, I think it might just play those files your talking about.
I would suggest Rocket Player and N7 Player, Both work well and I think they might be able to play those files
Try It
