Unlockroot.com Rootp

I used the root tool at unlockroot.com. I am fairly new to this. I couldnt get the root to work using the zergrush exploit for my specific firmware. I was granted superuser access so I am assuming it went well. I guess my main question is how do I manage/add roms to my N7000? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

This program doesn't work on the last couple versions of 2.3.6, the exploit was patched.
I don't see anyone really trying to find exploits in GB with ICS right around the corner
So does that mean that the root didn't work? I have super user access. I need a good way to manage rooms. Maybe I should just revert it back and wait on ics?

Check once your superuser access by installing any app that requires it like Titanium Backup. If everything is fine you should also be having CWM in ur apps and if u dont have it then flash the CF kernel specific to your firmware from this thread- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
After you are done with all the check then you can go hunting for the available roms on GB and leaked ICS in this forum - http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1349
Read the posts....and the features u get in each rom and flash the one you like
Explore and make the best out of your already awesome Note!
Thanks! That helped a lot. I ended up rooting with galaxynoteroot.com instructions and I am running criskelo ics rom now and its great.

Quick and easy root check?

Hi guys. Just followed the guide on how to root LQ2 and all went well I think. Whats the quickest and easiest way to check that I have root? Super user is installed and opens.

Just look if you have "Superuser" or "Super SU" installed.
You can download titanium backup for example and check if it requests root access. You can also try this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.joeykrim.rootcheck
Guys thanks for quick reply. I downloaded root explorer and it asked for access. This was a bit of a daft thread but I had a total mind blank on easiest way to check.it.

You should be able to paste a file to the system folder if your note has root. Use a program like ES file explorer to enable root and write on the system folder.
This is the one thing I am having a problem with actualy. Trying to move the S3 contacts into system folder but get failed message. Any idea?

any ideas to bring him back?
What do you mean by lost root? Is there no super user or supersu app? Did you try installing these from the play store?
Use root checker to see if you are rooted or not
You could also use voodoo root keeper for keeping root after ota update
Anyways just check for the root if yes install supersu from market

If you can get into CWM, just try flashing a new ROM. Just make sure you backup your data and apps and wipe system, data, cache, and dalvik cache.

Busybox?

I just rooted with the non downgrade method and busybox doesnt seem to be installed, is v1.20 and above safe, or does it cause bootloop like in ics?

Just took the plunge

Hey just bought my wife a note 3 for Christmas and it is my intentions to allow all updates and then root with kingo. Root is required due to the need for tethering.
Next question is there any reason why I should not update and if so which one is desired. I do like having an Odin file... if I don't want to update what app should I freeze? It appears mj1 is what I want but what are the differences?
last question after I install kingos su can/should I attempt to install a different superuser app and then should I uninstall the kingo su? From what I can tell I really just need to install busybox.
Thanks a note 3 noob.

If you get rid of the Kingo SU you will have no way to unroot if you need to. As the Jingo SU has the unroot process built in to it..
Use foxi app if u don't want to root your phone.
