hello guys,
how about your experience , how fast your x8 to overclock in safely ??
share with me..
I think:
stock kernak: max 748

Thank you very much nAa!
Set at a rating...if it doesn't reboot is ok
Remember oc is generally dangerous, the higher you set it the more dangerous it gets.

Yep, u can put it as high as ur phone can take.. For me 748, but i use 600 and undervolt cuz my phone is super smooth at 600...
If you want stable for stock ROM(like seriously won't reboot at all...) you set 729mhz for custom kernel on Alfs you can set higher to around 768mhz but for nAa kernel for me max 748mhz...
Thanks guys , nice info , i think 691MHz fast enought for me

kkkkkkkkkk, sory, THE BEST ROM....
gingerxperia 2.3
minicm7 2.1.8 with nAa v10 kernel (ofc unlocked bootloader u must have) and overclock 787mhz 2000benchmarks score
Hello.
I dont know why but i cant overclock my phone more than 691 mhz.
Can some one tell is there any option to overclocked more ?
Its annoying because everyone can overclocked more than 700 but i cant ;(
Sent from my E15i using Tapatalk
which ROM you using? If there no option to set it higher than 691 then you cant.
Overlock
Install gingerdx v22 and alfs kernel v07 isc with libs.I have max 729mhz now i can overlock up to 748mhz.Try this.I with gdx swap 200 ,chainfire ,powervr plugin,748mhz i play gta3 nicley.Sorry for my bad English. When you didnt have unlocked bootloader, try the new overlock module for stock kernel didnt custom kernel.
xperiafan13's CM7.2 GINGERBREAD rom with ALFS kernel V7 ICS run stable with 806 mhz. And stable too in: gingerdx v22 , gingerx v24b. and nAa kernel: newest mini cm, gxr v4
Maybe You're using stock kernel. I think that every1, who OC their devices @700+ mhz are using custom kernels
It totally depends on your phone itself. But it could be more stable or unstable per ROM - Kernel combination.
depends on the phone I guess. I can go 806MHz with stock kernel
Im using custom kernel nAa 10 + minicm7 2.1.8
I can oc to 825Mhz but it last to 15 seconds . But my stabl is 806 mhz. But it depends on the phone. Some people can oc more some less.
But when i was at stock kernel my phone never reboots on 691 mhz , now on nAa 10 sometimes get reboots. Maybe my phone cant be overclock more , that little bit sad
Use SETCPU to scale your maximum overclock frequency and the maximum frequency depends on the device. So gud luck... Right now i have Overclocked to 748 mhz and will try the next frequencies soon I am on Stock kernel with ginger dx
I try with gdx and alfs . Can some give me the link to new gdx ?

froyopro v2.4 with stock kernel can bo oc 720 mhz without reboots!
with custom kernel 720+.
I think im the only one who cant overclocked more than 691 mhz.

Hi i have stock kernel and i locked bootloader 11w30+... i installed GingerDX v26 and want to ask do i need to flash other modules, enhancements, scripts, etc... or the rom has it on its own. I know that there are a lots of them on the forum and i want to ask wich of them should i install ???
Ehm only Supercharger if you want to speed a lil your phone.
Sent from my E15i using XDA
Yes i use supercharger choose a few options, but it still lags very much especialy on games.
I use overclock, sd booster, and ram manager.
and i have antutu score 1564
Yes, it's that low on stock kernel, it's normal I think (I have stock kernel too). But only the 2D graphics score is low, everything else is the same as on froyo or the stock ROM. Antutu calculates it wrongly or something is wrong in these ROMs, I don't know (I tried other GB ROMs and it's the same).
Don't forget to try swap.
Edit: I forget that swap not available on stock kernel.

Yes, but what specific, or... there are 17 options...?
I think zlewe meant you need to choose between supercharger and ram manager. Threads i've read say they should't be run together. I use supercharger on balanced setting (opt 3, i think) . Try aggressive if you need more ram.

Yoy can also oc you cpu using DX's module and setcpu. I'll post the thread when i find it.

Yea, you should choose between supercharger or ram manager. But I read that supercharger is far better than ram manager.

For me one of best tricks was complete removal of Talk.apk and Gmail.apk. Why? I am using K-9 Mail, which can be configured to sync only by connect rather than Push. It made my battery last three-four days, depending on usage, instead of one.
I would actually use the stock modules of gingerdx just check their google code page. Except the overclock doesn't work on my phone.
Sent from my E16i using xda premium
hmm.. I wouldn't advise removing system apps until I learn which processes rely on which apps. but if that works I'm willing to try it. but I'd rather freeze those apps instead, although that wouldn't free up memory.
Does anyone know the best gaming rom for the x8??
Sent through my overclocked CPU
use search button!
tell us about your bootloader...
if stock kernel then try gdx or gingerxperia(has better results on my x8)
