Close list of all recent apps at once in ICS? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

In the list of recent apps in ICS, I know you can close each one on the last one at a time by sliding the item to the left or right. Is there a way to close all of them at once?

That's not what I'm asking.
Long clicking on the Home button brings up a list of recently used applications. They don't have to be active to show up in the list. You can swipe each one to remove it from the list. I want to clear the list all at once.

Want the same for my Note ... any thoughts?

Can JKay's Deluxe be installed on the Note?

That is JB rom but in Black CNA http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1883877 there is kill all button at the side of the list.

Thanks much... might as well give it a try.
I'm running CM9.1 on the Note... so far so good

Hi..
I am going to jot down points of change noticed in my Galaxy Note after ICS update.
1. Gallery
Much much faster than earlier.
Used QuickPic earlier but now no need
2. Browser
Amazingly fast loading over 3G / Wifi..
Roughly 10 times faster processing.
New neater look.
3.Contacts
Upper 5 icons are only four. Phone/Groups/Contacts/Favourites. The logs feature used to be there is gone now
4. Gmail
Amazing appearance.
Downloading attachment shows % downloaded. Very good.
30 days sync instead of custom.
Swipe to see next or previous emails.
5. Snote S memo Splanner
Everybody knows the new features
6. Task manager
Thumbnail view of recent tasks plus sliding close of the same.
7. Notification bar
6 icons now: Power saver profile added.
Individual notifications can be closed by sliding.
8. SETTINGS: SOOO MANY MAJOR CHANGES
Wifi Bluetooth can be on off using sliders.
Data usage can be controlled per month or similarly.
Bluetooth internet tethering.
Display battery percentage remaining.
Face unlock.
9. MISC
Youtube: Better interface
Applications can be disabled individually without rooting.
This will be updated regularly.
Any more additions are welcome.
You can show your current battery percentage on the upper notification bar beside the clock. For those who dont know how, check settings > display > show battery percentage.
Its a good feature compared in gingerbread as we have to use another app to show the percentage

wow,nice post!
as far as i have seen it with the new task manager (or more the screen you get when you hold the home button) is that you not only see applications that are open but also applications that are closed but were recently used.
Sliding them just removes them from the quick list as there isn't anything to close
i know you kinda wrote that too, i just wanted to clarify it for the people that might have misunderstood you with that
@boe2hoets: wow cool, didn't know that, thanks!

How are the on screen navigation buttons? (Home, search, back, menu buttons)
Do they work well? Are they too small to input?
no ,this ICS version is made specially for phones with hardware buttons, so you don't have the screen buttons like with the nexus
I have no premium suite
One question.
How come I didn't get premium suite on my Gnote?
I read in some of the forum that some didn't get the premium suite and sadly that include me.
Is there any other way to get premium suite....officialy?
I use official firmwere for my dearest Gnote and never root it.
Some say I need to hardreset my Gnote....is this true?

But if you have any saved certificates (VPN logins, for example), you will have to clear them before you can enable Face Lock. After that you can re-enter them and it'll still work.

Halo

I'm really liking the new ROM, but I am curious what Halo does? Is it just a faster way to launch certain apps? The app says is optimized for Paranoid Android, but I assume you tweaked it to work well with AOIP. Help? Thanks.

Its reads notifications with you whitelist them and can open them in a floating window also you can add up to 6 apps and use them as a shortcut and they will open in a floating window. For example if you was on tube and you got a text you can text that person back without it interfering with your youtube activity.

Go to aoip settings and go to halo setting turn it on ypu can also customize it and when your done slide down in the notificarion tray you shoyld see a circle press it and it should be on your home screen. Now you need to double tap to drag it where you please.

Yeah it takes getting use to but its good for multi tasking if you have the need to and it doesnt kill you last activity which is nice about floating windows because it just overlays over your current activity

looking for a task switcher

I'm looking for a NST-compatible task switcher.
The best i could find is this Task Switcher, but apparently the latest version is not listing all the active apps...
EDIT: i've found Smart Task Switcher which seems ok.

Yeah, Smart Task Switcher seems to be the only task switcher that both looks decent and is compatible with the Nook, so most likely it's the best you're going to get. Thankfully, it is very nice, has plenty of features, and works exactly like it's supposed to - when I used it for a while, I actually uninstalled my ADW Launcher, because I didn't even need a homescreen anymore!
All in all, Smart Task Switcher is the best choice IMO. :good:
Button Savior does that as well as many other things.

Yes, it's a good app - the only problem with it in this sense is that to launch an app from it (by long-pressing Home), you have to have launched the app already from an alternate home launcher, making it not specifically ideal for a good task switcher.

Once you have it installed you can go into the settings and have it start automatically at boot, easily adjust the contrast and opacity plus the location on screen so it's very unobtrusive in day to day usage.

Yeah, I know - I used Button Savior for about a year, so I know my way around it. I don't have it installed anymore because I can use NTMM to assign everything I used in Button Savior to the physical buttons, eliminating the need for another key set.
But, I digress. In my opinion, all in all, it's a very nice app, but for purely a task switcher, it's not ideal.

Any app for creating a short cut to previous app ?

Is there a way / app that will let me make an shortcut to the previous app ?

how about this one:

If you long press the recents button or switches between your 2 most recent apps. At least it does for me on LS. I haven't used the stock room in a long time so I don't recall if it worked there.

Don't long press an app icon. I only see that if I long press an icon. Otherwise from playing around with settings I have not come across any way to disable it.

You can install an alternative Home launcher, such as APEX launcher, or NOVA launcher. Both support home screen layout importing, so you don't have to re-arrange apps the way you have them. Widgets will need to be re-made though.
There are more settings available on these apps and you can easily set them both up to look like the stock launcher, or you can set it up how you prefer. I used to use APEX but no longer find the need for it myself.
