I was looking for an app and it didn't show up on my Xoom.... so I looked via my home pc, and it's there, but it won't let me install it for the Xoom. (It's the app to listen to 93.3 WMMR in Philly - app name - WMMR)
I've only had my Xoom for a couple days... and it's my first android device, so I've rather green when it comes to how to do things....
Is there a way to kindof force install it? Or download it to my pc and then install it somehow via the usb cable?
some apps just will not work yet with honeycomb, so even if you get it to install don't be too surprised if it force closes.
Cool! Thanks!
I found an app - TuneInRadio - and that seems to work really well and has the station. But I'll see if their app works.
Upgraded the tablet to honeycomb on the over the air update. Now two of the main apps, tap fish and drag racing premium force close.
So far the support emails have been unstall, reinstall and let us know if that works.
As if my first email did not already tell them that.
last email from tap fish wasn't promissing, something about we have some tablet issues maybe it won't work. No kidding.
Anyone run those apps on the Streak 7 with honeycomb and have them working?
a couple of reboots later and tapfish started to run. No problem since then with this application.
NO go yet on drag racing... Any else get it to run?
Hello everyone! I currently own a DROID 3 flashed with SteelDroid's 3.0 ROM. At the moment I am experiencing an auto-rotate issue when I place my D3 onto the car mount. For example, the car dock application rotates correctly, however, whenever I have my phone app or navigation app, it doesn't rotate 90 degrees. Anyway to fix this? If anyone has any documentation on how to do so, please link me...I will take it from there.
Also! chevycam incorporated the ICS music apk in his rom...when i try to access the music shortcut in the car dock apk it causes a force close issue. anyway to fix that? i would greatly appreciate anyone's input on this matter.
THANK YOU!
1) my Car dock does this too, I'm going to look into it probably over the weekend.
2) the music shortcut is still trying to open the old music app, so when it doesn't find it, it force closes. You can also scroll to the side and make your own shortcut for the new music app.

Same problem here with auto-rotate. Was not an issue in SD2. Possibly power notification widget?

Yeah I ended up using a third part music app. Question, do I edit .apks with eclipse (doesn't have to be eclipse) so I can attempt to fix the music app location f/c issue? Seriously, let me know how I can help since you'll be looking into this yourself dpwhitty.

Anyone have an update on this, I have the same problem with the car dock.
I switched back to steeldroid 2.0...no issues there. I wish I could find the source of the problem...sorry

Liberty 3.0 works fine also.
it must not be reading the magnet position correctly. D3 still relies off of the magnet to identify dock status. i've verified this with a pendant and no dock. if the screen is set to NOT auto-rotate, and the keyboard is closed, maps/nav, etc., will always be portrait. apply a correctly positioned/polarity magnet and landscape is invoked.
Any fix for this yet?
There's an app on the market that allows you to force rotation on individual applications. Its my new best friend!!

I saw in the market there's an app made by motorola called "Restore Connectivity Settings" for the Razr. Can this be made to work on the bionic? It's irritating that Motorola has addressed this issue for the Razr but not the Bionic. If anyone can make it work on the Bionic that would be awesome!
Can't seem to find a good app for my Android Samsung Vibrant to tether my WebOs Touchpad. Anyone know one that works?
I use the built in tether function in Android. Are you running a custom ROM? Is your phone rooted? Do you have tethering enabled on your phone line?

My phone is rooted and I'm running a custom Android 2.2 rom from Team Whiskey. I just found out that the Tether Widget app I got from the Amazon App Store works only until I reboot. If I remove the widget from my home screen and then reenable the widget after a reboot it works again. Can't seem to get the widget to work without doing this. This is the only app/widget I have found that works with my Touchpad running WebOs. I have no problem with this as I am not a big widget fan. This widget has no settings that I have found, it just works. I don't tether my phone to my Touchpad much so this is not a problem. I can enable the widget when I want to tether. Just good to know I have this when I need it.
If you are running a custom ROM you should be able to use the built in tethering.
Settings > Wireless and Networking > Mobile AP
The built in feature is usually reliable. I never have to reboot when using the built in tethering.

Thanks didn't know about that.
