Hi
I can't install any apps that I've download from the market
I allways get the error saying that I have no space left on the device
I have 40 mb left on the device, and a I'm using a cMTD and running FLB
Any ideias?

That may depend on the ROM you are using or you have a broken GAPPS zip file. Try re-downloading and re-flashing you ROM and please say what ROM you are using. Cheers.
I'm using Froyo by Laszlo

No, this is happening in "fresh" install
In the past, using the same cMTD configuration 69 2, there hasn't any kind of trouble in this, in last days I lost the google account, and my contacts, and have to install the rom again, in order to use google account

Don't know what Lucky Patcher is, I use FBL (FroyoByLazslo) too, never had that problem. Maybe the file is corrupted, FBL has gapps included, so re-download and reflash.
If THAT doesn't work, go to the post and ask your question there. BYE!
the problem is with cmtd. the market needs cache to work and you cahce is set to 2mb. you can either raise this higher to download larger apps (but that defeats the point of cmtd) or you can bind mount cache to your sd card. flash the patch youll find the file in firerats thread on this or ibcoders (sorry if i spelled name wrong) or github or where ever you got your cmtd files

I have found that in my recent installs of more than one rom, my market will not download apps. I installed ExEn Hero, AOSP 2.3.3, and Kifno's gingerbread sense. They all say downloading, then unsuccesful and quits.
I have tried using different versions of gapps. I have also done the cache and data clearing of download manager and market. I deleted the .android-secure file as well.
Nothing seems to work. Can any one help?

Puzzled ex en hero???? And what rom are you on now??? What recovery??? What kernel?? What version of gapps?? This might get you help faster. Also what were the exact steps you took to end up were you are now?? And what android secure file are you referring to??
Yea it's Me Again With The
Modified Hero
That's the reason I removed anything gingerbread from my phone. All my nands were doing this. After removal, I restored nands and reinstalled the roms over top. Bam! Everything is fine again.

I had the same problem before and what I did was re installed the market and it started working fine. Also consider editing your market in the build.prop file so it shows up as the droid x market. This will end up showing you all of the protected apps and such look at this link

Try to clear your data in download manager.
Settings, applications, manage applications, all, download manager, clear data.
Cleared data, still no go. This is a fresh install from yesterday btw.

I would just go back into recovery, clear dalvik, clear cache and flash the ROM again.
Ill try that

I had this working months ago, strangely it wouldn't work on cm7 but if I used sense on fire rom as my main rom it worked fine.
It sets up bootable images on your SD card and then the app changes your main boot.img and directs it to the rom's on your sdcard so anything you do on it when booted into a SD rom will be written to your SD not the phone.
I found it to be a little buggy, still quite useful for testing roms but its just as easy and less buggy to just use nandroids.

How did you get it working?
It keeps popping up with the message "Data required for first run, must quit!"
What does that mean? :S I have checked it has Superuser permissions. I am using the SenseOnFire ROM.
I have tried rebooting. Should I try again?
You need a connection for the first boot.
And the license check.once a week
Then you can open boot manager

Okay. Well, I didn't use a pirated version, so I should have the license checker thing.
I actually paid for it... :L
Who's is it? If it is yours, perhaps consider releasing a free version with a few less ROM switching abilities.
Maybe limit it to 3 or 2?
It is not mine
Anyway,it is uncrackable for now...you need connection to check license once a week
And the first boot to download all files

I agree with kylon, it doesn't touch your internal memory except for the app itself.
All the .IMG's are written to your sdcard in a folder called Boot Manager, then after selecting to boot an installed rom the app changes the boot path so it boots from your sd card instead of from the phone memory. If something goes wrong i.e bootloop etc you can easily go back to recovery and select advanced restore then restore boot from a nandroid backup and it should boot up into the main rom installed on your phone.
How do I know what type of SD card I have? And what's the normal size of roms on SD card?

Hi there, thanks for this great info!
but I've got a problem, I installed the app, it tells me device may be incompatible, I click "Manual" I haven't set the info on this page, but I keep getting toasts saying "boot manager has been denied superuser permission".
How can I reset it to prompt me?
When i try to install any app from app market i get the error which says Package File Invalid or something similar (have attached a screenshot below). From what google search told me...i figured it out to be a problem with app cache and space required for cache and this could be fixed by linking sumthng with link2sd...i have no idea how to do and mainly WHAT TO DO .
I am currently running ben's .sense v1.0 rom and approx 222 apps installed and 1.15 gb ext partition with 795 mb free memory available.
edit- tried wiping cache using rom toolbox and i restored 12 mb free space but the error still irritates me :-(

lol...i have his other 3.5 rom, same as his 4.7 but stock odex, meaning no theming allowed (no icons/battery/lockring) lol if you want it, still has all features etc....and usable with data2whatever script aswell.
but does this error occur in that rom?
so the point is i ll be using only that rom which doesnt give me this error.be it bens dot sense or mind's 2,1 or 3,5 or odexed rom.its annoying to see the app store is of no use after so much development and testing work.
Edit- the problem finally got FIXED.
wiped dalvik cache using rom toolbox and now i can install apps from play store.
..earlier i was not able to exceed 222 value...but now its 228 (user+sys) .
wiping dalvik cache removed about 21 'un usefull' files....atleast the prompt from rom toolbox said so...dont actually know what files it removed.
need BigBearEvo to confirm this !
ps- y cant i add screenshot to this forum?

USB OTG support for HTC salsa
Hi ,
My device is HTC salsa (rooted), running by stock rom(Android version 2.3.3, kernel version 2.6.35.10), will my device support USB OTG ?, so that i can connect Flash drives(Pen drive/hard disk/mouse/keyboard) to my device, if not , is there any way to make my device to support USB OTG. I don't have interest in custom ROM.

hi there, although you can use the search function for this, i may aswell allow this question for others that wish to follow this.
I typed in USB OTG and got this as top search >http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1820375
please beware this isn't designed to run on our phones, this may or may not work. i would suggest using the search functions and look into HTC variants of this and not other brands. Good Luck in your quest chap :good:

that's not recommended, why would you want to? all you would do is cause force closures and possibly crash the system.apk which renders the phone pretty useless. the system.apk is meant for each phone so for use in another htc model it probably wouldn't work correctly or functions would be missing, and to use in another brand android you will find it won't work at all.
rule of thumb, never move a system app to the sd card. unless you want to reflash your rom again or know how to replace it back again.this goes for google play, and other main system files just to save space.
Since Internal memory is low and I don't want to loose system app , I just wanted to convert system app to user app, install as user app and create a link through link2sd. So that it my internal memory increases.

there's no other way other than rooting and using data2sd to increase memory. its been tried and tested and all you end up with is failure and some serious complications

Use Root Browser from Play Store. But do you want to copy the whole folder? You atleast cant save the folder an an .apk. But you can copy all .apk contents for sure.
Please don't encourage users to do the wrong thing. Never move or mess with system apps when they don't know what there Doing. All you said here has contradicted what I said of don't do it.
