SHIP S-OFF? - HTC Sensation XL

Hi all
I own a Sensation, but my sister got an XL.
The time has come to root the thing and remove bloat, so I head into the bootloader... And there I notice "SHIPP S-OFF".
Is that normal for Sensation XL, because I can't find any posts about it? I can find a ton of posts on HOW to get S-OFF though
She updated it to ICS a few days ago...

no its not normal, maybe fardjab would like a dump of your sisters hboot

How dirty did that sound

lol
No problem.
Well, except one... How do I make a hboot dump?
I did unlock the phone a few hours after I posted the thread... No one was answering, and my sister was getting impatient
edit:
I remember a few regular Sensations being shipped S-OFF. One in every few hundred.
It was a big deal back then since you couldn't just unlock the phone via HTCdev. Or unlock it at all

Its prob useless, there are some tools like LGTool that can S-OFF the SXL, but the purchase cost makes them unpractical. I just thought there may of been something in your sisters hboot, that could help fardjab inproved his modified one lol

Possibly, after looking into it a little more it appears they are intending to release them all around the end of march.
so soon to release date, you would have hoped we would have seen a leak by now.

Don't suppose anyone knows how to extract the update when it comes, so we can develop it?

when the update notification appears, connect to pc and use logcat.
once logcat is going, start the download and the location is saved in logcat. usually begins http://fotadl.htc.com/ or something similar.

No Probs, don't be surprised if you get a firmware update in there with it. It'll probably update the Hboot, recovery etc. And bear in mind that CWM will need to be updated to follow the new partition layout.

[Q] Partition rezising

Hello everyone!
Is there a way to rezise the system partition to 2GB ant give the SD Card 2GB more space because 9GB is not very much space and my system volume everytime has 3,5GB of free space....
BTW: Sorry for my bad English^^
Nope. For now.

Yep there is the answer
Actually i think there is. But only only one dev has the ability to do it. Were better waiting till we have full S-Off or atleast radio S-Off before anyone tackles this subject

It's just a modified hboot that tricks the device into thinking it's S-Off, it allows users to flash security protected partitions, but, the security flag is still switched on.

No Signal - Can't register on network

I've got an SXL that was actually sent to me in error by O2 in December (somebody registered accounts fraudulently using my details). I waited for them to ask for it back but they never did so I kept it. I've only really used it as a media player because I had my Galaxy Nexus already so I don't know if this has always been the case, but I was going to lend the phone to a friend as his is broken but it wouldn't connect to the network.
I'm wondering if possibly the IMEI number might have been blacklisted? Currently I have 3 Musketeers Total Senseless installed but I've had various others on there and none of them connect either.
Until we get real s-off you can't do anything. But stop by a phone service and check out the phone to be sure.
I have heard about unlock codes in ebay, but i don't know anyone who managed doing that. Wish you luck man
No doubt o2 have blacklisted the IMEI. But if they have not asked for the device back. Your free to use it as a really small tablet

Come on man stop messing with the dude. It is actualy a nice idea to go to O2 store and ask if they can take the IMEI down from the blacklist.....

He can ask, but most O2 stores are franchised. He would be best ringing up.

I guess I wasn't sure about bringing it up to them because I figured there was a chance they'd ask for it back. I'm not even that worried about the handset, especially if I can't use it as a phone, but I do love the headphones lol.
Thanks for the advice guys!

They will have claimed on there insurance for the device. In theory o2's insurance company owns that device now. But i doubt anyone will ask for it back
