[Q] HD7 Demo mode, how to enter Bootloader w/no power button - HD7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I need to flash this Demo Mode HD7, but can't enter the bootloader since the power and volume buttons seem to be inoperable. I assume they are disabled in demo mode?
Any ideas how to flash this thing otherwise? It boots up when plugged in, and can only turn it off by removing the battery.
Thanks for the ideas,
Kevin

Your right, the power and volume buttons are disabled in demo mode. To flash a rom you have to be able to enter your bootloader. The only other way to flash a rom without entering your bootloader would be to use Jtag or a Riff box to install the rom on the device for you.

How to enter recovery mode?

Well title pretty much says what my problem is. I know there are topics that are pretty similar to this one and I read them, tryed them all and I still cannot make recovery mode on my phone work. My best guess is that network from which i bought the phone locked that somehow?
Here's what I've tryed:
Recovery Mode:
With the phone powered off
Turn phone on, while holding power button and pressing back button as shown in video below (start at watching at 0:40)

I dont think this way (below) is a proper way of entering recovery mode. Anyways i've tryed it:

I used this method and resolved the problem. Thanks
Recovery Mode:
With the phone powered off
UnPlug the USB cable.
Turn the phone on it’s side and use both thumbs to hold (left thumb) Vol Up and (right thumb) Vol Down
Press and hold the power button with your right index finger til you see "Virbant" release the power button and it should be on the recovery screen.

I also tryed with battery out and cable on but all other things that I've tryed sounds more like witchcraft than anything else. So is it possible that network disabled recovery mode and what do you guyz think I should do? Tnx in advance.

Recovery doesn't come preinstalled with phone! You have to install it via flashtool!
First, you need to have root access.
Then, you can install a recovery, I´d recommend you to install Dual Mode Recovery (use the search button, because then you can have both recoveries.
After that, you can enter CWM recovery with touching the screen repeatedly while it´s showing you the white "Sony Ericsson" logo, and you can enter xrecovery by pressing any button repeatedly
Kernel
I have rooted my Xperia X8 and flashed kernel nAa on it, but I can't get in recovery mode no matter what I try..

press back button for few times to enter CWM Recovery in nAa's kernel.
note: you can't successfully flash kernel into your X8 when you only have rooted your device. you need to unlock bootloader! read these threads!

for first u can't boot up to recovery. cause sony doents have default recovery. u must install manual, xrecovery/cwm recovery. u can install it with x8tool, flashtool, or manualy pushing to /system/bin folder.

Use search before posting anything. X8 recovery has two or three types. Dual mode is to either tap the screen and back button. Most recovery is back button.

Hey guys, bricked my phone after flashing leaked ICS cannot enter SW upgrade help

Hey Guys i recently just flashed my phone with ICS and it came up with error, then i replugged the phone the computer no longer recongised my phone and it can no longer enter SW mode, windos asked me to update and install drivers although i already had. I now cannot flash a new rom and it's bricked, i tried it on several computer but with no luck, i am sorry i am a newb and searched no answers help guys please?
Just smart flash/nvflash it with any stock ROM you can get.
Not trying to be rude.
When you press both volume + & -, the phone goes to apx mode. There will be only blank screen and notification on windows that its an apx device.
When only pressing volume -, then its smart flash mode. Smart flash program will recognize it.

same problem but cant get into software upgrade mode holding volume down and usb calbe in and the screen flashes one and thats is its not working

s5830v unable to enter into recovery mode and downloading mode.

This phone is from Australia, locked to carrier Vodafone.
the version is s5830v.
I want to flash the ROM I need, but the first thing is that
I am unable to use the button "Home+Power" into recovery mode,
and "Home+ Power+Volume Down" into downloading mode.
Every time I tried to use these buttons, the result is go into the system straight away, just like turn the power on.
I assume this function keys is disable by the carrier.
Is there any way I can regain these back.
Thank you all.
nobody knows?
it seems a tricky problem.
Try power + home + volume UP.

[Q]My Galaxy bricked

My phone totally bricked. I can't turn it on or boot to recovery, download mod
When i turn it by press power button: black screen with: lcd_backlight_ctrl start mode.....
When i boots into download mode: emergency dload mode (arm9 mode)
When i boots into recovery mode: Recovery Mode Button (back key) PRESSED
Odin still can detect my phone but it stuck at setup connection....
But i can turn my phone on by combine Vol Down + Power up, but when it on power button, vol up not working, sd can't mount...
I try many ways to fix it, but it's no use
Any ideals to fix my phone????
Sorry for my bad english
More details needed.
What did you do before you bricked it? Flash a custom ROM? Attempt to root? Tweaked system settings?
Without this info, we cannot help you.

how to start phone whiteout powerbutton?

Hi guys and girls from xa.
I have phone which powerbutton is not working, so I ask how do I boot my phone?
I think it's not in USB debugging mode coz I can't find it whit adb, how about fastboot?
I just need it to boot that's all thanks if u have time to tell me.
Yours. Jani
I don't think you can. To enter recovery (adb) or fastboot you need to use the power button too. Maybe you can try to hold one of the volume buttons while plugging the charging cable. It might get in download mode or safe mode or something
EDIT: I just tried it myself and it doesn't work. It seems you need to find a service center or repair station to get the button fixed
