for not being so sarcastic and spending your valuable time on answering the query and pointing out the etiquette on this forum
"THANK YOU" again
@mods: plz shift this thread to Q&A section plz

With ICS you can disable some apps/services coming with ROM...but not every app.
Go to Settings...Applications...All...tap an app such as Zinio then you will see a DISABLE button...tap it and done.

You can freeze the apps as an alternative solution. That can be done using the Titanium Backup Pro app for example.

or you can try this....
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1580830

Safest way to freeze/defreeze apps --> Titanium Backup Pro

I use app quarantine!
But freezing by titanium backup shall be the best method.

[MARKET] What happen to paid apps when flash

Hello,
i really like to try different roms ..
but what happen if i buy an app on the market then i reflash my g1 ??
Does my paid app is linked with my gmail account or do i need to save something on my g1 before flash it ?
Regards
You can re-download them afterward. Wrong section btw.
Almost all of today's ROMs allow the download of paid/protected Apps from the market. Once you've bought an app, it is linked to your Google account and can always be redownloaded.
But please, post questions like this in either the General or the Q&A section.
Well thanks for the informations.
And sorry for the wrong section.
Moderators, could you please move this thread ?
Thanks in advance

[Q] Anyone could uninstall AT&T bloatware in JI6?

It seems that Titanium always says that it can't locate .apk file for AT&T stuff.
Anyone uninstalled it?
yup ... having the same issue
sure.. use root explorer... or actually read the first link in the froyo release which easily tells you how to remove the bloat.
Read the froyo threads as this is already discussed. Titanium backup needs to get updsted. Second, this is not a development question. Put threads where they belong. You didnt need to create a thread for this.

Moved to Q&A.
Please keep all questions to the Q&A sub-forum. This way, we can keep the development sub-forum easy to search and make it easier for developers to work on their projects.
Thank you
If anyone is still looking:

Delete files described in this thread using RootExplorer or adb. Must be root of course.

[Q] 'Light' rom

Hi all, my wife has a UK Three S5830. It seems to be bloated with junk like games that can't be removed and after installing 2 or 3 apps the internal space is full! I was going to root with SuperOneClick but then can somebody recommend a clean, light rom? I have an S3 so I've no idea what available for these phones!
u can go for Stocklite rom or adrenaline rom(old version..since latest version is having boot problem)..both are light and fast..

You should ask about it in the correct Q&A Thread
You must read rules and all information about your device also, rom threads, we need to keep the order!! This is GENERAL THREAD, so next time you know what to do
Reported.
Thank you for understanding it

Try the Roms suggested by nix01.
Also you can simply Root your device and make this ROM lite as well by deleting unwanted apps...

Just root, unistall bloatware from stock rom and maybe flash a different/battery friendly kernel and you're done
