Hello,
My phone (out of warrenty) was dropped in water, so had to change some hardware outside. After which I kept getting play store errors. Many apps would also throw random errors, even after doing factory reset. So I thought may be ROM too need to be flashed due to new hardware. I searched for the Stock ROM (Kitkat 4.4.4) and found one (phone shows 21.11.27.titan.retaildsds.retaildsdsall.en.03retin). I flashed it (I just had to run a file on fastboot mode - Auto Restore Script.bat). After that I havent been able to install apps through play store. It keeps popping error 495. I can install a few apps at random, but not everything. I did the whole process at least 3-4 times again, changed wifi connection etc. No luck. Any help here?
PS: I am totally a new person to all android related stuff, but ready to learn if right instructions are given. Thanks.
Hi,
I will have your thread moved to your device section.
Good luck!
yuppie, on lollipop now!
@garrittw: your response is a little too late You see, in my desperate attempts to make my phone work, I got it on Lollipop 5.0 (used the files from here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...m-1-tweet-rate-thread-add-poll-titan-t2989793)
The end scene is that everything is working on my phone. But it took a lot of time to make it happen. After installing gapps, I continuously got google play services error. The same play store problem persisted too. But this time something different happened. After 2-3 attempts at downloading one app, i got it to donwload. Also updated google play services somehow. It was frustrating though as for every app download I had to try multiple times. Surprisingly amazon appstore downloads were successful. So I also used that to download the ones available there. But I am happy now that my phone works perfectly with all the apps that I need up to date . I am feeling so happy about it, as this was my first stint at android troubleshooting as a total novice
However I still think I will run into the same play store problem whenver I would try to update any app, so I think I will use your patch anyway. Thanks

Try this:
Settings > Apps > swipe until you see category "all"
Search for "Google Play Store" and clear data.
Search for "Googe Services Framework" and clear data.
Now open the play store and try to install something.
If you still get 495 go to Settings > Accounts and delete your Google account. Restart phone and add your Google account. Should be fixed.
tried everything on 495, no luck

I had tried ALL the suggestion on the internet for 495, nothing worked. Even flashing multiple versions of systems dint work. Still get 495 at times with the 5.0.2, but works when i try multiple times. I also tried different wifi connection, no luck there too
All the sudden my Google play shortcut today stops working. I'm getting the sd card is not available, need to download the app again. I went to managed apps, removed it but the shortcut remains in the homepage. Reinstalled it & able to open it after it was installed but cannot open it from the shortcut. Now the only way I can use Google play is remove&reinstalled as I cannot launch the googl e play from the shortcut, any suggestion? I've tried to removed Yahoo mail & it does the same. Shortcut remained, at least I can laugh it if l have Google play open but for Google play, no such open to run it from any where.

This has been reported numerous times in other threads with an equal number of solutions offered. Some seem to work while others don't. Appears related to a recent FireOS 5.6 update. You'll need to do some hunting in the Play Store thread. Use of the XDA search function is highly encouraged; otherwise you'll be reading through hundreds of largely irrelevant posts.
Tip: uninstalling/reinstalling the Play Store components with reboots between each step seems to offer some relief. Clearing the "Home Pages" cache also holds some promise although not sure how durable that solution will be. Good luck.

Clearing the homepage cache did the trick, Thanks.
I posted my solution here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/hd...s-wont-due-t3721053/post74971657#post74971657
(1). Settings --> Apps & Games --> Manage All Applications
(2). Swipe left in order to display "ALL" applications and then scroll down to select the application named "Home Pages"
(3). Tap "CLEAR CACHE" and then "FORCE STOP"

so playing with the family link loop where it
Then:
Installed the four APKs needed to install Google Play Store: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ama...-fire-t3486603
Installed the Family Link Manager APK. I posted it here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1eV...aZYYsd-2E1351C
Launched Google Play Store
Signed in as my child
It asks which parent is setting up the device. I choose myself.
Got a warning about Android 5 and not be able to control an apps permissions after approving.
Then, a message that Family Link Manager needs to be installed. I already installed it at this point.
Checking Info...
It asks for a name for the Device
Asks which installed apps should be blocked
Then I get a screen that says, "Next, you'll activate Family Link Manager, which helps parents..."
After clicking next, I get a screen that says, "This profile manager is required for Google Accounts managed with Family Link." The only option is to click, "GOT IT." I then end up on the previous, "Next, you'll activate..." screen. If I click NEXT there, I see the same, "This profile manager is required..." screen. The process is now stuck in this loop
but if i try the loop 3 times i can not use google play,. but i have to redo this every 2nd day or so... it wont quite stay/finalise sign in
how can i stop this
I am also having this issue. Have you figured it out?
I found no solution for now . ...
Theres no fix for this. I think the fire is missing a option that family link assumes is there
Try it to factory reset or hard reset and re-install the Google Services
Another solution: https://screentimelabs.com/help/how-to-uninstall-google-family-link/
if you get the manager apk from another device, you can get one step further. however, it continues until it gets to the step where it wants to activate the device manager and the screen for an instant shows, but then goes to a "are you sure you want to cancel" screen.
If you activate the device manager manually, unfortunately, it still shows the same screen.
I made xda account just to post this. Youtube tells us to update from Play Store but it is already the latest version. Apparently there's several posts that had the solution ,but hard to find. and I'm sure some people are still clueless. This is the workaround that I found, just follow step by step to be safe.
Android Version : 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich
Possible Devices: P7500,P7310,P7300
1. UPDATE all your Google Apps. i.e. Gmails, Google needs to be up to date, including YOUTUBE APP (if you uninstalled it already).
2. Go to Settings -> Applications -> All -> Disable Google Services Framework
3. Go to Google Play services , Clear Data, then Force Stop it.
4. Go to Youtube app, Clear Data.
5. Go back to Home screen and run the Youtube app. You have to wait for quite some time in order for it to set.
6. If it pops up displaying "Youtube is not responding". Just close it. and Run it again. IT MAY TAKE SOME TIME SO BE PATIENT. Repeat until it shows the youtube home screen.
7. You be able to run Youtube now. :good::good:
It worked, but now there is another problem. It shows error 400 when opening youtube.
*SOLVED*
Hello to everyone who stumble upon this thread. All the solution given does not work for a long period of time. However there is another better way to use without hassle.
1. Download Opera / Opera Mini and install from Play Store.
2. type in m.youtube.com on search bar and press enter
3. Then can use.
This is the most viable solution without having to think of the workaround as saves your time. With Opera being quite a lightweight browser. It is just as better as trying to run Youtube App.
Thank you everyone.
Basically what the title says. I know is not a big deal not having Netflix, Mario Run or Mario Kart (maybe more, those are the ones I use) on Play Store, but it is useful for auto updates.
AFAIK this happens when Play Store is not certified or detecting unlocked bootloader. Now, the thing is, I have everything hidden in Magisk, SafetyNet pass on both Magisk and this app:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.scottyab.safetynet.sample
And weirdly enough, they seem to show up from time to time. How exactly does this work? Is it a play store detection thing, or is it some kind of flag on google's database? Because from the web, the apps shows as "not compatible" with my phone (when they don't appear on the phone, when they appear they are compatible on the web as well).
Sometimes I clear the data of play store and play services, but it doesn't seem to work, or seems to work randomly. I also tried clearing google services framework data, and it helped a couple of times, although I don't do that know, it mess up with apps and I learned that the hard way hehe
I'm just trying to figure out the google handling of this, and maybe a permanent solution from there.
I have a Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro with MIUI 12 (xiaomi.eu), Magisk and Xposed (phone's fingerprint is faked from an untouched phone and I can pass all the tests and use GPay, have Widevine L1... so all seems ok execpt for the apps things, which is beginning to bug me.
Thanks in advance.
I managed to get the apps showing on the store by doing these steps:
-Disabling internet connection on the phone
-Wiping play store and play services and rebooting
-Logging out from the device through the google security panel website
-Waiting 30min to 1h.
-Enabling internet again.
Then the apps were compatible again, as I can see on the play store web (not the app).
BUT, after 24h hours, or a bit less actually, they AGAIN appear as NOT COMPATIBLE on the play store web.
I'm trying to figure out why this may happen. Any clues? Thanks!

Hi, not sure if this answer will solve your problem, I'll post anyway.
I needed an app available only in US on time. So I got a VPN and connected it. But the app still wasn't available. So I force closed the app and cleared the data (only for the play store) and it worked perfectly.
I know you already cleared data. But this time, try those steps, maybe it'll work:
1- Enable Magisk Hide
2- Force Close Play Store
3- Clear only the Play Store Data
4- Launch the Play Store and see if it worked
Hope this will help.
Have a good day
Thanks for the answer, but I think the problem is a bit more complex than that. Yesterday I re-did all my steps again and I got this:
This time I have not turned off my phone since then, and the "compatibility" is maintained. I will try to stay another 24h with my phone on, then I will turn it off on tuesday night and see what happens.
Also, I think this post would be more useful in the Magisk thread, maybe? Could an admin move it there?
Thanks!
@eXtremeDevil
The "incompatible with your device" message is only shown if you open Google Play Store in PC's browser., not if you run Google Play Store on phone: there an incompatible app simply isn't listed.
Your issue has nothing to do with fact that Magisk is installed on your phone.
Download APK from another market. Open it with 7zip or any other unpacker. Look inside extracted file Manifest.xml for any app's restrictions.

Then where's the issue? Netflix is obviously compatible, is not a "real" incompatibility. Seems to me that google play store or services detect something on the phone then tell google servers to flag those apps as incompatible, therefore they are NOT shown on the phone and listed as "incompatible" on the web.
What I'm trying to do is to prevent this, prevent the phone from detecting whatever it is detecting and prevent my phone services to tell to google services/servers/database/whatever.
Because I can assure you, before rooting/Magisk this did NOT happen. So no, this is not a "real" incompatibility issue. Actually, as you can see on my screenshot, it IS compatible right now xD Who knows how many hours will this time last...
@eXtremeDevil
If your statement "SafetyNet passed and device certified" - what indicates Magisk gets not detected - is actually still true then turn on your mind.
That's the kind of help I'm asking here, AGAIN, my device is FULLY compatible with Netflix or Mario Run. I installed them through Play Store with no issues and I can run them with no issues. BUT for some reason, even passing SafetyNet and being the device certified, sometimes google detects something that makes those apps incompatible, and no, is it not the hardware or the ROM, is a security related issue, only I don't know which one.
OK, so today after 3 or for days without issues (and without rebooting) I rebooted the phone and the problem went back. I wiped both play store and play services data, rebooted three times and so far so good. Let's see what happens.
Could any forum moderators move this thread to the Magisk subforum?
Thanks.

Thanks for the moving trick, I didn't know that
Ask for the problem, is not actually fixed, I still lose those apps from time to time, and I'm still looking for a cause and for a definitive solution
It happened again after 2 or 3 reboots. I suspect the culprit is EdXposed or one of its modules. What I can't understand is why my other phone doesn't have that issue, or my girlfriends phone, that actually has the original Xposed...
I was seeing a similar issue. Without Magisk installed I was able to download Netflix from the Play store without issue. After Magisk installed and pass CTS, going back to play store Netflix app page showed red error msg, "This app isn't compatible with your device anymore. Contact the developers for more info." Force stop Play Store, clearing cache/storage resolved issue.
Curious but did you try setting the Magisk Manager option to hide and rename the manager package? Also if you have either ed/xposed, did you check if installing SudoHide module and hiding Magisk Manager from Play Store turns out different results? Doing the latter will remove Play Store (or any app you hide from Magisk through SudoHide for that matter) from the Magisk hide app list, something to keep in mind in case you need magisk hide enabled for play store, but I'm assuming you don't need to since you tried that already to no avail. Otherwise I'm curious to know if either, both, or neither solves this issue.

Tried that, didn't work. And yes, I have the manager renamed to something random.
SafetyNet does not pass 100% of the time, the clear data works but only for a while, I guess there's nothing to be done here...
