[Q] Alpharevx 1.09.1000 updating - HTC Incredible S

I s-offed my IncS in the early days using the beta of alpharevx so my HBOOT version is:
VIVO PVT SHIP S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.09.1000
RADIO-3805.04.03.15_M
Was wanting to play around with newer radios (haveing some probs with 3G on the newer ICS roms).
Was wanting suggestions for hboot versions/radios people are currently rocking.
Was going to try out Nik_Aura_Rebirth_Sense4a BTW

Hboot: Blackrose or Revolutionary
Radio: ICS Radio http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1711445

cool cheers mate. Just install the blackrose hboot over the current one? use the instructions as if i hadn't already done alpharevx?

also is there an order to it at all? like flash blackrose first then radio or vice versa?

[Q] Can the Canadian Raider 4g from Rogers run ICS?

Question is in the title, basically I have been trying to get RumFloat Beta3 on my phone all day and it always get stuck in a boot loop.
The only thing I noticed after scouring the forums is that the Vivid has a different hboot version -- can this make a difference?
Also could I use a ATT Vivid RUU on my phone?
If not, what other differences are there from the ATT Vivid and Raider?
You can flash any GB based Rom on raider. You have to flash boot.ing assotiated with the Rom to fix bootloop.

To answer your question properly no you can't run ICS atm because ICS uses a higher hboot version. You'll have to wait for the OTA update to come out so you can update your hboot and then you can flash the Rum Float Rom.

No you cannot use Rumfloat beta3 until you get the HBOOT upgrade for ICS OTA for the Raider.

So am I correct to assume the AT&T Vivid came with a higher hboot version?
I draw this conclusion from the fact that many people here have ICS running already.
At&t Vivid came shipped with Gingerbread; HBOOT 1.83. OTA update for the Vivid upgrades the HBOOT to 1.85. So I would not just flash any rom for ICS until you upgrade the HBOOT.

No, it came with the same HBOOT version (locked to the device variant), but the OTA and RUU update the HBOOT to the new one.

No way to make-shift that OTA/RUU work for me/upgrade my hboot currently? ( I doubt it, life would be too easy)
Code:
Knowing Rogers, they will never update, ever. Only hope if this is the case is the guy with the Security Off Vivid direct from HTC -- and great devs; but that's a long shot on all fronts, and I am sure a while away.
Edit:
Appears ICS for Raider in Canada both Bell and Rogers is in the works, according to HTC Taiwain Facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/notes/htc/ice-cream-sandwich-updates-the-north-american-edition/10150786212353084
In addition, the HTC Raider is on the list to receive ICS for customers of Rogers and Bell in Canada. Stay tuned for more news on Ice Cream Sandwich releases in the coming weeks.

The HTC has just started rolling out the OTA for ICS recently. The Raider is on the list and though I can't find the article I know it's been confirmed for the Rogers/Bell Raider. With out having gone live in Australia I'm sure we only got another week or 2 before it hits here.
Here's an update reported on Mobile Syrup this morning:

Yes the most recent one posted by football is an official RUU.
I tried flashing the official one by renaming it to pg32img.zip but it says installation aborted. I did it through rom manager though. Any suggestions

Of course you guys CAN NOT! Even if you're supercid you CAN NOT!
First you need to install this RUU: RUU_VIVO_SENSE30_S_HTCCN_CHS_3.09.1400.7_Radio_20.4802.30.0822U_3822.10.08.28_M_release_237362_signed
Second you can run this RUU, and only then:
OTA-VIVO-ICS-35-S-HTCCN-CHS-4.08.1400.2-3.09.1400.7-release-264230rsi8pgoc0lc0k4xe.zip
Third and only at last you can run this RUU:
OTA_VIVO_ICS_35_S_HTCCN_CHS_4.08.1400.3-4.08.1400.2_release_264573gxkspn0rakg03dic.zip
ONLY then and only then you got the latest full stock and official HTC ICS ROM for now. And yes, maybe you need supercid to install the first RUU, cause it's meant for Chinese devices with Chinese cidnums.

hboot 1.54?

I've searched but cannot manage to find the answer. Where/what is this ver. 1.54 hboot? If it fixs touchscreen sensitivity, I'd be interested. I'm unlocked and w/ S-off. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

The firmware package from the 2.17.401.1 build which includes hboot 1.54 can be found here.
Read through the whole thread before flashing as there are various versions available..... the original firmware posted wiped the phone but modified versions were posted which didn't.
It's not necessary to update as the 4.2.2 based roms work fine on the original firmware but as you note it does include updated touchscreen drivers.
If you update though you will need to reflash the latest versions of either CWM or TWP recoveries.

Latest 2.24 firmware.

I have a tmobile htc one.
I am supercid and s-off with of course bootloader unlocked through htc dev.
I have flashed the latest wwe firmware.
i removed hboot.img so i can keep 1.44
My main question is...
Is it best for me to just keep the latest radio?
Or reflash tmobile radio and rcdata?

Test it out a few days to compare, newer radios are typically a disputed thing. They work well for some and not for others.
