I checked the persmissions from my computer and apparently, only Adaway had permissions related to the screen. I just did a quick check, but that should be what was bugging you. Unless the full wipe did the trick.

Working good on my Captivate.
One concern: How do I take off the "minus" marks on the app icons that lets us delete apps right from the home screen (the screen we get when we click on the home button).
I see this as a security risk. I have app protector pro. But then, we can just delete the app protector pro in this mode without even asking for any password or anything, and all my apps are open for everyone to use.
Could anyone please help me take off this option to quick uninstall apps from home screen.
This thread is a joke, right?
wow just great now this post with almost the exact same title as the rom post will get me confused which is which from now on

Nope. I am serious. So far I realized that unless a person knew how to mod a Captivate, he didn't know how to access protected apps. But now, even a layman can just delete the 'app protector pro' and access all the apps that are supposed to locked by it.

You do know that once you rooted your phone, anyone with a little knowledge can do much more than simply delete apps... just don't lose your phone or give it to an iphone buddy who might wonder what the neat little thingys on your screen do
Bye. What launched are you using that you see this in.... and deleting an icon from your home screen does not uninstall it on any that I have used

Not the icon. Like when u press the home icon, u can see all the apps present on ur device. For user installed apps, u can see a small "minus" in a circle on the right top of app icon, just like in iphone when u go to edit mode. click on that, and it will uninstall the app.

Pardon me if my concern is not really one. I am just expressing myself.
I use Application Protection from the market. Upon uninstalling any app it always asks for the pin. There is no removing the program without it.

Right, this is as long as the app is there. I am telling about a situation where the protection app itself is removed. I could remove it without it asking me for the pin.

Another possible solution is to install another launcher that dosen't have uninstall in the application tray or doesn't work at this time (my LG Optimus below) and use root explorer to remove the two launcher and reboot.

Others have already pointed this out, but what you need to do is dl and install a different launcher from Market and then uninstall the TWLauncher. Problem solved.
Just because TWLauncher is the default in Cog 2.4.1 doesn't mean that you have to use it. Get another launcher. Or you could try never letting your phone out of your sight...

The market should update itself after the phone being on for a bit. Give it a few minutes and see if it doesn't update.

why the hell would he do that? factory reset would be an absolute last resort.... and i have no idea why the hell you think installing apex would help him?
OP do you have google now enabled?
first thing i would do is disable data and disconnect wifi - make sure it is an app trying to fetch data that is causing the problem, if that turns out to be the case then simply stop all apps from syncing automatically and reenable a few at a time until you capture the problem one.
check out whether your GPS is being used too - google now would use your location and fetch data a lot, my money is on it.

Go to Settings=>Apps=>All find my Xperia and uncheck 'Show notifications'.
Thats greyed out.
Probably because of the fact that it's a security app, it cannot be disabled through app settings. The only way that I found to freeze it was with Titanium Backup. Use that or a similar app.

Looks like you're going to have to root or put up with it
I had the same annoying problem – but after a long search I was able to find the solution for it:
With the App "Notifications Off" (Free in Google Play Store) notification settings can be set for each app - even for system-Apps (hence root privileges are required for this purpose).
The annoying notifications about "my Xperia" and STAMANIA mode (App "Eco-Mode Controller") can be disabled easily!
I use Elixir 2 to disable everything I want
I can't stop these annoying notifications, too

Hi guys.
I'm getting trouble since I got this S10+
I'm. Coming from S9+ and everything there was smooth as butter.
In S10 too, but there is a strange behavior.
I turn AutoSync off and after a while it's on again.
Checked Bixby routines, tried to catch some logs, but nothing.
Do you guys have any clue what could be turning it on?
Cheers

Have you tried an app like battery+ to check what is always on ?
Yes, I'll install again and check.
This issue is making me a permission check freak and I start to realize many apps have too many permission where they shouldn't. e.g. ES File having the permission to change the sync
Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
Have you tried AdHell?
It has the app components feature which is basically not only removing the permission but disabling access to the function all together.
Got to be careful with it, but I had some apps that have absolutely no reasons to access my phone state, GPS and storage for example.
