Every 3 days it tells me i could use the "my Xperia" service..i don't want to..i just want it to shut up. Do i have to root/freeze the "myxperia"-app or is there a regular way to shut it up?

Do you use my Xperia? If not just freeze it with Titanium Backup and consequently you'll never see the message again

Not really there are a lot of differences between the different region ROMs. like activated NFC symbols and stuff. Maybe some are missing the "don't show again" options.

Go to Settings=>Apps=>All find my Xperia and uncheck 'Show notifications'.
Thats greyed out.
Probably because of the fact that it's a security app, it cannot be disabled through app settings. The only way that I found to freeze it was with Titanium Backup. Use that or a similar app.

Looks like you're going to have to root or put up with it
I had the same annoying problem – but after a long search I was able to find the solution for it:
With the App "Notifications Off" (Free in Google Play Store) notification settings can be set for each app - even for system-Apps (hence root privileges are required for this purpose).
The annoying notifications about "my Xperia" and STAMANIA mode (App "Eco-Mode Controller") can be disabled easily!
I use Elixir 2 to disable everything I want
I can't stop these annoying notifications, too
i have same problem, always show the pop up notification has stopped, what should i do ?

Working good on my Captivate.
One concern: How do I take off the "minus" marks on the app icons that lets us delete apps right from the home screen (the screen we get when we click on the home button).
I see this as a security risk. I have app protector pro. But then, we can just delete the app protector pro in this mode without even asking for any password or anything, and all my apps are open for everyone to use.
Could anyone please help me take off this option to quick uninstall apps from home screen.

Nope. I am serious. So far I realized that unless a person knew how to mod a Captivate, he didn't know how to access protected apps. But now, even a layman can just delete the 'app protector pro' and access all the apps that are supposed to locked by it.

You do know that once you rooted your phone, anyone with a little knowledge can do much more than simply delete apps... just don't lose your phone or give it to an iphone buddy who might wonder what the neat little thingys on your screen do
Bye. What launched are you using that you see this in.... and deleting an icon from your home screen does not uninstall it on any that I have used

Not the icon. Like when u press the home icon, u can see all the apps present on ur device. For user installed apps, u can see a small "minus" in a circle on the right top of app icon, just like in iphone when u go to edit mode. click on that, and it will uninstall the app.

Pardon me if my concern is not really one. I am just expressing myself.
I use Application Protection from the market. Upon uninstalling any app it always asks for the pin. There is no removing the program without it.

Right, this is as long as the app is there. I am telling about a situation where the protection app itself is removed. I could remove it without it asking me for the pin.

Another possible solution is to install another launcher that dosen't have uninstall in the application tray or doesn't work at this time (my LG Optimus below) and use root explorer to remove the two launcher and reboot.

Others have already pointed this out, but what you need to do is dl and install a different launcher from Market and then uninstall the TWLauncher. Problem solved.
Just because TWLauncher is the default in Cog 2.4.1 doesn't mean that you have to use it. Get another launcher. Or you could try never letting your phone out of your sight...

Yes you can delete the app but it is linked to your google account and that`s the problem. If you uninstall the app you can`t access your account anymore
You have to go in your Google account settings (desktop) and disable this option. The very same place you first went to activate it. Hope this helps.
I've been using it for a while aswell and I think that I'll stick with it you loose a few sec for more protection. Fair enough...

That sounds hilarious, sorry. As far as I saw, the only options for talking were in the extended options of language and input in settings. I'll dig around and see if I can find something. I'll definitely want it disabled myself.
I noticed this today at the worst possible time in a middle of a meeting. Can't find an option to turn it off.
Went through there as well ,unless I'm not checking something correctly... could you check your calculator app and tell me if your having the same problem?

Did you give any app pemissions in accessibility. If you did read this image i attached. When you give some apps permission Samsung has some issues sometimes with the voice kicking on but Samsung actually had a work around built right into the phone.
Have recreated your problem just do the work around which the phone does for you.

This is how I shut off mine. Under Accessibility if you have anything under Services, turn them off. I had Greenify on and it made my calculator talk, but once I shut it off, calculator stopped talking. Hope it helps.
Found this page with people having same issue. Seems like tmobile and att is the pattern. Tmobile here. Greenify not installed. Double checked all my settings too.

You have to click on the settings button thats below whatever app you would have given permission look at my pic i posted you will see the settings listed at the bottom but since you say you didn't do that then there is no workaround. Did you turn on a app you didn't necessarily had to do it in accessibility some apps will just do it automatically. Can you tell me what apps you may have installed that help with battery or after market lockscreen just anything you can think of

NOTE 4
On my phone, it was caused by activating Greenify in the accessibility settings. When I did that, I got a popup telling me that my default language didn't match TTS. It offered me options of canceling, going to settings, or enabling TalkBack. So, for some reason, activating Greenify activates TalkBack. Voila. Talking calculator.

It IS important. Keeping an active notification helps prevent the system from closing it.

How do I stop my phone from opening an app when I get a notification in it. Example; I get a notification that I have a new post in Instagram. When I unlock my phone, it'll go directly to that post. Itll do it also if I get a notification while on the phone in a call. Soon as I take the phone away from my ear, it'll go to that notification.
I have a carrier Verizon Note 9, with 9.0, not rooted.
Anyone?
Are you sure you don't click the notification or screen before unlocking the phone?
This is an android feature i.e. it will land up on the app when you click a notification on lock screen. Obviously you have to go through the lock screen.
If this is not the case, I think you have to debug via logcat.
