Na just remove all kernels would also help
So thx if anny body knows a awnser to this questions thx
Btw im on tesmaks cm7kang 121
And would like to remove the performace gouverner eat my battery in 6h grr
And would lile all the gouverner options not only 2,or just no kernels just stock
Kernels get me sick to much bug blablabla

You can replace a kernel by installing a new one over it.
For governor, replace it with another one as well, eg powersave.

use the semaphore app to set low memory value to 64 mb, more free memory means less lag when you run something. you get another 15mb or so witb bm kernel. The govenor basically controls how fast or slow the cpu runs and reacts to demand. Smartassv2 is responsive, especially with sio i/o scheduler. use semaphore app to set readahead to say 512mb, you might also like the more sensitive screen.

I thought that with the "bm" kernal you lose HD recording.
You do lose hd recording, but you can still get great videos. If you do need full hd recording, flash non bm semaphor, after recording, flash bm back. Its very easy with sgs flasher

can't overclock more then 748mhz using nAa11 nd custom rom xperience v4

Sent from my E15i using xda premium
oh dear, if you cant overclock more then, you cant overclock more! Its just tough luck mate
More is not a good idea for daily use... You will get some lag in multitasking..
Best for daily use (to my point of view) is 122 / 729.. More my phone was very laggy sometimes..
how to overclock in the first place?
can someone please give me the link on how to do it??
thanks!
Bah,
Go on parameters > cyanogemmod > performance > CPU : select your frequencies, check overclock and keep on boot and reboot.
If you've got the good kernel (as naA), that's all
i'm using gingerdx v22 with stock kernal
and i can OC it To 787
but i prefer 748 or 768
it's just luck!
but 748 is good, isn't it? at least for me
You can try and play with various governors,i think some go higher....
Guys, in general, there are 2 kinds of X8 concerning hardware.
If you got lucky, then you can overclock your X8 up to 806.
On the other hand, if you are unlucky (like me), then you will NEVER be able to have a stable OC over 719. It is just a matter of hardware
i could see the min and max frequency, but i can't edit it..
when i press it,it only shows a cancel button..
is it because i have a locked bootloader?
been searching yesterday about unlocking bootloader, and it's too risky(well, i've had enough rooting my x8.. LoL)..
and regarding to the governors lists, the frequencies does not changed even though i chose a different one..
needless to say, it's still 122-600Mhz..

i'm not stupid; i know what the search button stands for!

or no..for me it's the same..but i use alfs and i can go up to 768mhz..in nAa i only can 748mhz..
then OP, CHANGE KERNEL!
I don't think you can overclock with stock kernel
You need to unlock your bootloader to have a custom kernel. Then you'll can overclock

Follow the steps in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1020313) and then you will be able to overclock your X8, even without unlocked bootloader.
if ever i did it, and somewhere in time i want to return to the old one, could i just delete this module??will the phone frequencies return to default??

Yes, you can delete it, but not necessarily. You can change the frequencies manually in Settings > CyanogenMod > Performance > CPU, or you can either install SetCPU to control them, so you can keep the module if you want to overclock it again later.
I can Oc to 691mhz only ....

Module-OC

Hello,
My phone -xperia x8 white e15i
Kernel - Stock
It don't matter what Rom I use I can only OC till 691 MHz at 710mhz my.phone freeze and reboot.
also I get reboot time to time on 691.
I heard that very x8 should atleast be stable at 710
my question is.
Do I get a higher stable frequency if I use a different module other than Dix's???
I came across a module which offers a higher frequency .... search for better overclock you will find the thread.....so will I get a higher frequency? ?? using the other module???
I USED THE SEARCH BUTTON BEFORE POSTING.
so don't yell at me. : )
Help
I'm not too sure about this one since I'm a part noob much like you but have you tried flashing a different kernel such as Alfs? linuxxd is really good but doesn't allow overclocking as I found out with the same problem as yourself Sorry I meant stock kernel doesn't allow overclocking ...
If I helped you please answer my question on a new thread I made
It's up to your phone. Your processor can go till that frequency without freezing. Other X8s can go higher. It doesn't depend on the ROM or kernel.
A custom kernel allows better overclocking most of the time. When I was on stock kernal the highest I could get to was 710Mhz before rebooting. With a custom kernel I can get to 787Mhz before rebooting.

anyways if I change my kernel then I will be changing the software part only .... so how can it increase my CPU potential .. ?????

You need to understand that the stock kernel is not designed for overclocking, it's only possible with modules for stock kernel.
You can try the other module but I doubt it'll be any improvement, if you want better overclocking you really should install a custom kernel.

You know, that question is a bit like asking "what is the healthiest dinner?" and expect to get to same answer from everyone.
Different roms are more stable for certain usage. That said, AOKP roms are most stable for me, I've had no issues at all on infinitum.
Non ics roms would be Darky 9.5, rock solid with working call recording. This is pretty widely recognized as a very stable rom.

i set it to smartass but still no sio ... not a big deal ok ...
but all these is from smerphone app ... when you go to nstools there is much less option & the highest cpu is 1000mhz
mean while in smerphone you can get it up to 1300 mhz but as soon you leave the apps it goes back to 1000 ... but every other setting stay as i choose ... & when you try to make the profile default as your profile the phone completely shut down
so i did as most of people think which is the fastest ... but still 2 things i cant do
sio
highest cpu ( 1300 ) am stuck with (1000 )

GT-S5830i Interactive Kernel, root, interactive, and much more

Hi friends of XDA, friends of Android, friends of S5830i, friends of ROM's, friends of Kernels, friends of....
This is my last creation: Interactive nit Kernel for GT-S5830i
Based on my kernel ([email protected]), i have created the Interactive nitKernel.
Kernel now includes a system app called nitManager to manage the kernel features and others:
- Set Max Frequency
- Set Min Frequency
- Set Prefered Governor
- Set Prefered I/O Scheduler
- Set Apps Install Location (Apps to Ext-SD for example)
- Set swap (the app will create the correspondig swap partition if not found and enable and disable swap feature)
- Download and Install Busybox if not detected in the device
- Download and install Superuser app if not detected in the device. (Installing Superuser app will slower kernelManager app)
Instalation:
Download the kernel from here:
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/68301491/PDAnitInteractiveKernel.tar
This version is only flashable through Odin.
Just put the file in the PDA section and flash.
Once installed go to your apps and find nitManager App, open it and start managing all the kernel options.
I have tested flashing the kernel directly from fully stock ROM, and works great.
From stock ROM you'll get everything you need to boost your device, su, kernelManager, busybox, swap, superuser, apps2sd etc...
Kernel Features:
Freqs:
156 MHz
312 MHz
624 MHz
832 MHz
Governors:
Intellidemand
InteractiveX
SmartassV2
Conservative
bcm21553

Hi Android-fany, its not recommended. I have developed the kernel manager for my kernel. Im not sure it will work on Rafaels. Never tried anyway.
On the other hand the kernel manager has been developed to manage my kernel features, so traying what you say will limit Rafaels kernel to the features in my kernel
