Hello XDA community. I'be been recently searching for a 'Journey' boot animation with the Soundtrack from the game in the background. If someone who might be willing to male one or knows where I can find one that would be most helpful. I'm also looking for a theme with icons based from the game in it as well

JaeKar99 as well as others have posted up "how-tos" on making your own boot animations. I always make my own, as I usually want something plain and simple. You can make your own icons as well, easy to replace the current icon in the apk, with your "custom" icons before you flash the rom.
I'm not good with art programs. I'm lucky I can draw a square in paint lol

There is a tutorial on here somewhere that shows you how to make a boot animation from a YouTube video. Then just find an mp3 that has the music you want and exchange it for the boot audio that is currently deactivated in aokp by default.

So a friend of mine edited this for the HTC Sensation community, I then edited for our Captivate. I have tested both of these on my phone running CM7. May work on other rom, so please do a nandroid backup just in case.
Credit goes to nxt, for making the video and easier for me to edit. His original thread can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16240236

The video's animation is a bit fast in the video. But has been edited.

Rename the .zip file to bootanimation.zip and place in /system/media for CM7, for other rom please ask rom developer where the bootanimation is located.
Cool boot animation dude.
Nice job they look amazing. Is it possible to make the green one blue?

Can i flash this on an Infuse running Infused v1........probably not!!!!!!
If the rom supports custom bootanimation it should work. Although the resolution for this bootanimation is for the captivate. Will have to edit the files to fit the infuse screen.

Is there a way to get a Gingerbread style theme or ROM developed for the cricKet Sanyo Zio by Kyocera? I've used Spz0's OpenZio ROM and liked it very much. But now I am looking for a ROM to be developed or a theme to be made to make the notification bar and menu style look like Gingerbread.
Is there anyway to do this?
P.S. I would have posted in the Android Development section but it wouldn't let me.
I can whip one up tonight

Didn't have time to start tonight, tomorrow I will start this

Thanks Mattix724!
I got home right now and was wondering if you made the Theme/ROM for the Sanyo Zio to make it look like Gingerbread.
I've been working on decompiling the services.jar to fix an issue with the time not showing on black status bars. Now instead of black on black I have a lovely red time and still can't see incoming notifications on the status bar.

Oh. Well take your time. I'm in no rush.
Sent from my Zio using XDA App
What exactly do you want to see in this theme? I can make it look as close to gingerbread as possible, but notification buttons like wifi GPS sync and brightness will probably not be possible on the 2.2 framework
Sent from my Zio using xda premium
I want it to look as close to gingerbread as possible. Im not worried about the notification bar buttons but mostly the icons in the notification bar and the launcher. Thanks for your help.

Mattix,

My Theme for Zio
Mattix,
I have made a theme using UOT Kitchen as you suggested but am having a little bit of a problem.
Everytime I apply a theme the status bar changes to black but the clock still remains black color too. Is there anyway to make it white so I can actually see the time when applying my theme or any themes I make using UOT Kitchen?
Is this variable in framework-res.apk?
Post it anyways ^_^ I use fancy widgets for my time lol

There is a rotating miui lockscreen that I would like to know if it was ported, I have checked majority of the LS threads on XDA trying to find this one but have came out empty handed each time. The lockscreen I am referring to is found on this youtube video at the 28 second mark.
Here is the link
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2izv7t1fi0g
its available when u click online themes in theme manager in miui
Do you know the exact theme name.
Sent from my T959 using xda premium
Does anybody know the name of the rom.
Sent from my T959 using xda premium
The name of the ROM is MIUI, and it's available on pretty much every mid to high end phone out there. The theme the the lockscreen comes from is called machine planet.
Thank you I've been searching all over the place for that lockscreen

This is my first boot animation I made. I used some wallpaper and a 3D can to make this animation using mostly photoshop. The text was added onto the wallpaper and then wraped around the can. Then I made the can spin and exported the animation into JPG files. I know everybody has their own favorite American college football team so here is mine.
Do not try to flash this. Use root explorer to place this zip file in your boot animaion folder.
I am not responsible if you break your phone.
Nice one. Man.
Thanks. I'm thinking about doing one with a tumblimg squar that has wallpaper on all all six sides. Like a rolling di.

Now that would be sweet.
Very nice. How did you make the image rotate in photoshop? And save every image of it rotating?

How to wrap can:

How to rotate can:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDNYKR7lw1Q
How to export animation:
File>Export>render video>image sequence, rate 30fps. Save in JPG or PNG.
Make sure all images are in RGB from begining to end. If they are not just open and save in RGB. Photoshop tends to want to save everything in sRGB.

Any luck for one developed for the Xoom?

Doesn't work with xoom ...whatever boot animation I set, an android logo text is only shown at boot
Sent from Motorola Xoom using xda app
I was able to get it to work copying the bootanimation.zip file and pasting it elsewhere, but not by using the app. But, the resolution was not correct, even though I selected the right one.
Sent from my ADR6400L using xda premium
Well, I tried pulling from the recent OTA, as well as the wallpapers, but no luck. I think the files are embedded in the patch files. Anyone have any ideas...maybe someone who installed the OTA can grab from their Xoom? Thanks.
