Yeah, I think the YT channel is more...well random funny videos as opposed to stuff the actual user did. Your photography work, and video lapses look cool. After Effects has an awesome feature where it duplicates and blends frames together - where it would give a smoother transitional effect as the video progresses. I recognized the iMovie intro right away. Cool choice of music too.

Yeah! If you got some music you made - post it! What do you use to produce your music? FL Studio? Reason? Cubase?
Here's some stuff I did years ago when I was freelancing.
The first is a band site (band I was in at the time), but we split before the site was finished, hence there's no content. And please note, it was at the time when people were using dialup connections, hence the "quality" of the music
http://www.johnmolyneux.co.uk/legacy/stt/
The second is a site I did for a graphic design company. They pretty much knew exactly what they wanted so I was just putting it together for them. There was no creative input on my part with this one, but I still had to build it.
http://www.johnmolyneux.co.uk/legacy/metafor/
Both sites were built using Macromedia Flash (as it was), about 9 or 10 years ago. I'm in the corporate side of development now so don't get to build anything like that any more. I wish I'd kept it up as I think I'd be pretty good by now!
Incidentally, I am particularly proud of the flies on the first site. They react to each other and the mouse. Have a play

I've done HDRs before. Not my cup of tea. The problem with HDR is that most people don't know what it really is. What they do is blend the shots and make the scene look like a radioactive wasteland. It's meant to be used to get an even exposure throughout the whole shot, like when shooting a room indoors and having whats outside the window visible, and not overexposed.

That is so cool! I actually did scour the internetz for a decent detective silhouette to use as an avatar but didn't find one i liked. If you'd read the books you'd see how hard it is to find something relevant, an avatar to match the name.
Once your done with yours i'm having it!

None taken. In fact i completely agree, although the aforementioned curvaciousness shouldn't only apply to females. I mean, i'm as guilty as the next guy for objectifying people on the basis of their appearance, but it's not every day that you see a fellow forumite like Milad in the flesh.. and i'm sure you'll agree that it's understandable if one finds themselves carried away in the moment.
After all, knowing Milad as i do, it's safe to say that he's not all about the pleasing aesthetics... Ok, he may be somewhat a good looking fella in his own right, (and tbh that whole outfit is really doing it for me), but he also has a great mind behind the facade, and it's a little shallow of people to judge him on his stunning good looks alone. Have a heart, the man has personality and character too you know?
I'd post a picture of myself but i'm too afraid people would either objectify, or more likely, ridicule me instead.

Personally, i'd rather get by judging people on who they are rather than how they look tbh. The internet is full of hot 'looking' people, but xda is full of hot 'real' people.
So, I tried to search on this forum, and I didn't saw anything. So, I will start. I play guitar for one week, and I'm making own songs. These are instrumential, because I can't make texts, and I will upload these when they are "perfect". (Archer, do not close this thread )

Meh.......
I started playing again after years(basically from scratch, one can't remember how to play a song after years!). I last year's summer, so it's been a year now. I play quite well, at least that's what my friends say... yeah, sure!
Been playing for bout 3-4 years give or take. I'm decently good. I would say... although the neighbors next door telling me to STFU would say otherwise. Would like to learn more music theory then the pentatonic... even then in suck at scales. Latest a accomplishment... sloppy sweeps...

Hi all,
I've started making youtube videos all about the Nexus 7 and I thought your community might find them useful. Some are reviews of different aspects of the device while others are short 1 minute(ish) tips to get the best of your new toy. I hope you enjoy and find them useful and I'll be updating this thread each time I do a new video.
Thanks for watching,

So here is another video. I'll keep added to the thread:

To check more effectively, hold the device with the right portrait side closest to you. Hold it so the bezel on the opposite side becomes a thin, silver line.
If the screen isn't completely flush, your display will interrupt that silver line.
Nice tip.
You had me sweating for a second but checked again and all is fine on mine. I think it's just reflection on the screen that's doing that

That's great. Mine has separation in about the same area, so the sympathy I felt when I spotted that line has soured into jealousy.
These videos are really well done by the way. Maybe a little basic for most people on this forum, but I'm new to this stuff so they're good for me.
I wish I'd seen the Wifi video before replacing my old router. The connection wasn't as strong as I felt it should be, so I bought a new, much better reviewed one. I should have borrowed a device from someone and done what you've suggested to make sure it wasn't just a problem with the Nexus 7. Also, it would have been useful to write down a few speed tests before replacing the old router, so I could compare.
This video would have helped me make a more informed decision. And I forgot to test the camera, so thanks for the tips.
I've attached a photo of mine failing the bezel test, although it looks pretty flush from the other side. Congrats on getting a solid one.
From where do you have bought your nexus 7? It is so flawless and glad to see there are indeed good ones.

It would have been nice if you had put titles of the videos along with the links.

You must be using the XDA app. In browser (which I prefer over the app) when I see the post, the videos aren't links. They are square movie boxes that allow me to watch the videos right from the forum, and the thumbnail is the title. I think that when people post videos, they aren't thinking about the people using the app, which shows all videos as links, lol.

If you are posting videos for others to see then you have to consider all kind of users and most of the users here use the app because it is neater than xda website. To the point and without any distraction.

Thanks for the info. What I have observe from this found that people from UK mostly got better tablets. With better I mean with less defects. Anyways your flawless device has made me feel jealous just kidding. Enjoy

Yes its there. You can hold that the jellybean for few seconds and numerous small jelly beans would appear on screen and best part is that you can interact with it.

A question today. What is the Nexus 7? This highlight reel might answer that:
A review of a case for the Nexus 7 and a broader question of whether you should use a case or not.

I am not using any case on my nexus since lasy one month and I am not planning to use any case. I like the way it is without the case. I bought this tablet mostly for games and putting in the case would make it hard to handle while gaming. Cases make tablets heavy, thick and harder to carry. I intended to buy a sleave case to carry it around but now the tablet is too old to spend money on sleeve.

A tour of Google Now in this video:
Hey all, this isn't a mind blowing tip, it's just something easily overlooked. Forgive me if it's been covered but i could not find it.
When taking photos with flash I found under my tungsten light source that everything had a blue tint to it.

This I found results from the phone incorrectly detecting the white balance.
It is easily fixed by pressing the picture button and holding it while your phone focuses and measures the shot. Then a second later release it and the results are a marked difference.
To those using any camera with a half and full press button this isn't a large surprise but with the trend to simple tap on smartphones I find this easily overlooked.
Thanks

He's a street dog. Someone found him as a pup in the rain and put him online. He's pretty mixed as a breed but has some hound in him. And much smaller than a mastiff :cyclops:
I didnt know about the hold focus either. I felt it wasnt obvious because the N4 unlike htc's and iphones doesnt do an instant photo. it does the shenanigan of focusing with the ring and all the jazz so one would assume it would measure its white balance then. Anyway you live and you learn

Oh just like the video says I am a total noob when it comes to android phones. I have always had iPhones from the first one to 5, and after it broke I thought I mix it up and got a lumia 920 (terrible experience I had no clue what I was doing) and that bought the Nexus 4. I got to say there is a whole lot of little tricks such as this which is great, so thanks again for posting.

Welcome to the droid community. Once you get sucked in its hard to go back. I try using the i5 now and then. The lack of a back button and my app settings within a separate settings app really bug me.
