[Q] - HD7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

is it possible to stay with battery saver option after charging also? ... becouse when u pin the charger battery saver will off automaticly...

Once you plug the charger the battery saver turns off.....after you remove the charger just enable it again.....there is no way currently to keep the battery saver on even through charging....

Once again what you said makes no sense. When the charger is plugged in, your phone is receiving ample power from the outlet to run all tasks.
As soon as u plug it off, it starts the battery saver. Now whats the problem in that for long journeys ?

I'm a 50% Happy user with the HD7, i've been following and reading all the issues with the phone (don't get me started on the mms config!...), but anyway, just a simple question.
I'm trying to fully charge the HD7, but i don't want it to be powered on while charging, it just keeps awaking from the dead!

Far as I know the HD& can only be charged while turned on. At first I thought I had a defect unit, but as I read on the net and in reviews that it only charges while being on.
Hope this helps
Eric

i turn off the phone and i put the phone to the charger. That's it.
I think is it important, i charge it via charger, NOT via laptop.

I have to call BS on this one, at least if you're using an HD7... Unless you mean when you let it die til it's very end, and then when you plug it in it DOES show that, but temporarily until the phone has enough juice to turn on... then it does.

mysteriously dead IncS

Yesterday my phone shutted because my battery, I connected to my car and charged a while, I got out from charging and using 2-3 minutes more and battery died again. When I got home I connected it to AC power and powered on, It was working without problem. I left my phone maybe 1 hour charging and when I took it again it was dead: screen dead, no life signal, just the led blinking slowly when connected to power (either AC and USB)...tried to take off battery but nothing. Today I connected it to PC and windows has recognized it but cannot identify it (on the PC the classic USB device not recognized error with yellow triangle on top) and the led is always blinking.
Any idea? should I have to buy a new phone?
thanks
Sounds like your battery is dead. Try replacing your battery

Try Running some POST tests. As in, Power off your device and wait for few seconds. Then Press and hold your power key and your volume down key. You should be able to access your Bootloader. (If you have Rooted your device, you could access your recovery and clear the battery stats although your device's condition seems peculiar/critical). Its worth a shot If you ask me.
I have already tried it but nothing, cleared dalvik and battery stats..I cannot understand whats going on. Now phone is working again but it cannot maintain battery, I mean I kept it in charge all the night but when I power on the phone it shuts down just when it starts android (thats strange because I went to a store yestarday and tried a new battery but it didn't worked, when got home I tried to power on it again and it started)...this is driving me crazy!!
edit: I turned it on, plugged in AC charger and phone after some minutes told me that (I don't remember the exact message) power needed by the phone is more than the charger could provide...
edit2: now it is on and it is charging (USB) and it doesn't charge more than 21%...really strange
Odd that this hasn't been mentioned but perhaps try a different usb cable? Different port? Seems obvious but you never know. Cables can deteriorate.

Ok maybe here is a solutions:

You might wanna edit that bit lol
It's possible the charger port is faulty, it's a common fault on notes, try cleaning it with alcohol and compressed air, also try new charger, sometimes mine says charging (usb) when connected to mains, I use same charger as my gf and hers says same so I believe my charger is at fault.
If the above methods don't help, consider repair under warranty if you have it.

anybody else?
Either ur charger or the usb port has went awry. So youa can check the battery charging it out of the phone. Externally and theb check if its working good.

[Q] Phone wont turn on

Hello, i have one question
Now I came from my job and I use my phone about few minutes and then the phone turns off. Can someone tell me what can be problem?
Cant go in recovery or download mode?
Are you rooted? If yes, which root method did you use? Custom ROM installed? Any apps installed that are not from Google play? Are you sure the battery is good? Do you see/hear anything when trying to power on? Any and all details would help.

This sounds rather stupid, but some users have reported that turning off the feature "Allow apps to scan WiFi in background" solves the problem. I honestly have no idea what that has to do with it but give that a try. If not you can just do a factory reset from the menu.
@edessa : no, i am not rooted. all is official. All apps are from Google Play and I use the same like on my previous phone (Galaxy S2). About battery - today I go in shop and I will try to see if is problem in battery. Strongly hope that the problem is in the battery.
I dont see or hear anything when I try to power on. There is only black screen, without samsung logo or vibration on power on.
I would get a new battery. Sounds like your battery is dead. In some Android devices, not sure about the N3 if you let the battery completely die then even if you connect it to a charger it will not power up. If it cannot power up then it cannot charge either. The phone has to actually start in order to charge the battery as the charger is a smart charger.
I tried with new batteries and phone still not turn on. And now I send it to repair

You phone can run without a battery just using the USB cord. Sending it in for repair is probably the best option at this point

Could be the battery.
Check the voltage of the battery. I use an app called Kernel Adiutor. My N6 is showing 4191 mV no charger connected. With charger connected the value is 4450 mV.

Before that you could check if the battery saver is disabled. Turn off the battery saver in the Settings - Battery menu.

Yep.
Typically if it shuts off the second you yank from a charger regardless of laptop or phone or anything its a battery issue. The cells arent holding a charge. Your able to boot into android and stay on while on charger so everything is fine evidently software wise... but that battery isnt holding the charge so it flops out.
You can either order the part online and do the change yourself which isnt too bad on Nexus or if your still under warranty then send it in.
